Important news! (moving, work...)
Posted 2 years agoHello everyone!
As some of you may know because they follow my Telegram and stuff ; I'm moving across the country with Ven to live in a larger house and to have our horses at home!
I did the first 10 hours road with our 8 cats and 2 of our dogs a week ago. Things are settling for them and they begin to accept the place as their own, more or less stressfully for our more 'feral' kitties.
Last week I worked hard to install the place. Not because of the boxes to unbox, those are fully sealed until Ven's arrival. But because it's and old person house and the kids (our mother's husband family) never took the time to get ride of anything... And since we got a deal with them to live in the place it's a LOAD of work. I think we already 8 runs to the local garbage place with a full car + trailer... And it doesn't really show if you never saw the house before AH !
Meanwhile Ven is taking care of the horses a the old place since the professional who will drive them here is not there yet.
What does THAT means :
- It take way more time than I expected since I was not supposed to be alone for so long but Ven is stuck because of the horses that aren't loaded yet. So I have to do everything now ALONE and it's a heavy duty. Literally.
- Since the begin of the week I'm doing some renovations ; a TON of cleaning ; taking care of the pets
- I'm cat escape proofing the whole house ; it's a lot of work trust me xD The catio will be done later, but the windows can't remain closed, I need to proof everything fast.
- I'm also organizing the horses arrival : Doing the park limits, grocery for the arrival...
- HAY : because they'll eat. So I'm doing a LOT of travelling to get them the hay for autumn and winter , all by myself and two arms. I got the luck to have a frame who offered almost a month of food to go to pick up in the field... where the car couldn't enter. Long short story : arms day!
I'm fully OK with all of this as our animals already took us a lot of time. However, we're splitting tasks usually. Right now I'm exhausted. Physically AND emotionally. Moving is a BIG change ( especially a 10 h drive move.) ; My mental health of these past months is exceptionally low ; Depression is hitting hard and any inconvenience turn into dark though... So now imagine leaving a place where you lived for years, with the habits and stuff... It's for the best, and I LOVE this place (so calm, you can see the milky ways and ear the night birds!) but still, processing a new start is taking a lot on me. Gonna be fine, gonna be great.
WHICH LEAD TO : I have an amount of time to work that is LOW. I manage to place at least 1 hour of it everyday which is usually taken to reply to notes, messages and stuff... And I can't continue like that because I NEED to work.
So :
- Until Ven arrive + Until the end of August I will reply to my notes ONLY on the MONDAYS. I will send all I have to send on MONDAYs , not any other days (except for upload that are made by postybirb since it's automatic )
- I will work my pieces, but only on the 1 character pictures. If you are awaiting for a double character, bear with me, they'll be worked on a bit later as I'll try to get back on my schedule by doing the smaller pics ;)
- From next week I'll be back on the Saturdays with the Warm Up ONLY if I assume to have enough time. Saturday Warm up are my only saving for emergencies and school stuff. I can't pause them for too long.
- I received some moving best wishes ; THANK YOU everyone ; I'm doing good, we're settling and the house begin to slowly get back to life. It's only a matter of time for me to be done with horses installation (Next Thursday max) and hopefully the horses will follow quickly..
