Passed my exam today! It was rough learning, but I have learned and passed my final exam with above average numbers.

Still deciding what all to do for riding gear but I have more or less decided on one thing.
I want a jacket with the Horde symbol embroidered large on the back.

Problem is that I also want my jacket to be visible. Figure a red jacket would work well and still look good, And I can simply embroider the Horde in black to make it all fit.

Now I just need to find a decent, red, leather men's motorcycle jacket. Any suggestions?

Started my motorcycle training course today, will be continuing until Friday.
Assuming I decide I can handle riding a bike in the open world. I need suggestions for a jacket and helmet. Preferably something related to gaming or geek/nerd culture. I'd rather pay for something I'll enjoy wearing, rather then just paying for someone's brand name (Like Harley).

I've already seen UD Replica's gear, that's a bit too outlandish. I'd like something a bit more simple, not a full on superhero costume.

Since the King Korvid joke has taken on a life of its own, it turns out that he's also been accruing minions and artifacts.
The strongest of which being the Maximizer wand, upgraded version of Bowser's Minimizer wand. Korvid's version being able to both shrink and grow its targets, as well as transform minions in to their "Giga" forms. (Think Bowser to Giga-Bowser)

With this in mind, We're here to discuss potential minions to join King Korvid's army, Primarily those with innate abilities which can be useful to the king, and also amplified by use of the Maximizer.

Current Minions:
Head of the Royal Guard:Thunder Dracena , Who's druidic talents make him perfect for keeping the gardens, and raising an army of thorned vines and Piranha plants on a whim. He even has an outfit already! http://www.furaffinity.net/view/11948892/

Royal Vizier Corydonn , no special abilities to speak of. But he's talked his way in to being adviser to the throne. Taking care of the King's weekly reports and quota, relaying down his orders, all while being no more then a foot tall! Turns out he also has a knack for making shrunken intruders "disappear."


All of that said. I'm looking for additional minions. It's likely going to be a small group. Characters who fit somehow in to the Mario Universe either by ability or look. Size of the character is irrelevant. Giant characters will be 'Normalized' until otherwise grown by the Maxmizer. Micro characters can be left small, but should be willing to be made giant in the same way. (Edit: This also means "I can/am a giant" is not an acceptable power. Sorry.)

I may or may not involve this information in to future commissions.

Active Duty, I currently roleplay, or at least associate with these characters in some form.
Ian Corvid: The crow you all know and (better) love. Recently decided to make his 'natural' height about 7ish feet or so. Tall but not outright macro, more suitable for playing with micros. This character is "Me", His personality is carved from mine were I in the situations he were in.

King Korvid: The Koopa King version of Ian that started off as an April fools joke but took a life his own, along with many, many smaller lives. He's smug and mischievous as Ian is, but King Korvid is much more ruthless and not likely to care if a 'toy' gets broken, there will always be more.

Alexander Triumph: My first character. Originally crated in Furcadia with me simply selecting what color scheme I thought 'looked cool', thus how his odd coloration came to be. He went through many phases and I never really hashed out who or what he was supposed to be. These days he's still undefined but kept for eye candy, and on request for those strange people who don't like birds. He also talks using the same southern drawl I've developed in real life.

Damian Wilkinson: A backwaters redneck fox who started off as a quick character made to tease a friend who loves them thar foxes, again another character who's bio I couldn't put down until I made him complete. A lazy, pot smoking mechanic living in a trailer, who never really questions why these odd, two legged 'bugs' keep getting inside.

Minosttratos: My oldest character next to Alex. Originally crafted in the "Power gamer" phase of my early days. I'd rehashed him to be a more balanced and reputable character. A quadrupedal black dragon standing twelve feet at the shoulder. His ability was to dive in and out of shadow and manipulate size along the way. Push a hand through his own shadow, have it come out giant from someone else's to pull them in, and in turn have them come out tiny when he withdraws his hand at normal size. These days he's far too lazy to abuse such a thing or rampage about. He's happy to lounge about his home, running a trade company to amass his 'horde' with minimal effort while a harem of exotic creatures (Who are there willingly, by the way) tend to his needs and pamper the old, scarred, lazy beast.

Nimbonya(Warcraft): Named after the RnD version, but a totally different character. Two in fact. My Tauren Shaman, who's first form can be seen in my "Honor and Fury" submission, is a battle lusting enhancement shaman who enjoys leaping in to the fray. In an RP server she's a "Hex shaman" who specializes in turning people in to small amphibians, insects, or just small all together. Either leaving them to their fate, or speeding up said fate under a descending hoof.


Benched, Non-RP characters that have been fully established, Kept for head-canon or possible eye-candy commissions.
Nikolai Kuznetsov: A 90ish foot tall Russian born brown rat, moved to America to make it big, but ending up as a heavy labor construction worker due to him speaking near to no english. I've been meaning to get a reference of him done, then commission his escapades as he encounters these "Macrophiles" who want to play, and find out that "Nikky" is sometimes overzealous, and doesn't know the meaning of a Red Light.

Minosttratos(Warcraft): Named after the Active version. This is my Death Knight Orc, specializing in blood tanking. This version was once an angry and violent orc sent to undeath before the reopening of the Dark Portal. Years have humbled him and he now stands as a strong, honorable living shield against the dark forces.


RnD. Character ideas left floating in my head. Either ideas I often muse over, or are actively hashing out.
Moth: Been rolling the idea of a cute moth around. Not sure if he would be small or giant. Thinking he'd be a tailor if the former. Some well known fashion designer, when he doesn't occasionally submit to his instincts and eat the stuff.

Snake Girlfriend?: Another idea that hasn't really gone beyond that. I love the idea of being intimate with a snake like creature who could conceal you entirely within their coils, a sign of trust letting yourself get entirely wrapped up in someone who could -easily- crush whoever is inside, especially if that person was a frail bird. Ian's just the sort who would get along nicely with a snake girl friend. Being the cuddly type himself, and also one to tease and peck until he's either buried alive under the coils or silenced in between them.

Nimbonya: Dragon Minosttratos's younger sister. A black dragon like him, with her shadow powers allowing her to manipulate the reality around her via illusion. More active and playful then her brother but still unlikely to use her abilities let alone abuse them. She's more suited to the luxurious and decadent lifestyle. More social then her brother.



Retired. No longer active in any form. Created, used, and replaced with more suitable characters.
Hilda Charlton: A bit of an embarrassing tale. Hilda is a large red salamander female who I crafted up one day on a whim. This was back when I and many others frequented FurryMuck and Tapestries. Where many places and characters wouldn't give you so much of a glance unless your character had a rack. She was a completed character, but only had one or two test runs before I found I had no aptitude for playing a faking a female character. Shame though, she had a good thing going. She worked in advertizing, and could easily climb buildings to fix or set up new signs, or even pose on them for extra publicity.

James Hallfield: Originally a micro husky. No special nonsense or anything. He was my little secret character because I didn't want my 'normal' furry friends knowing I liked weird stuff like giants and feet. He is responsible for the naming of my original FA account. Basically when I was 'in the closet' of being a weirdo who liked being stepped on.

It's common knowledge that most of the time, Ian is much smaller then advertized, not nearly as smug as he'd depicted in some of my commissions. This is both true, and vastly untrue.
I think one of my mistakes was crafting Ian's default size to be so big, when his personality is better suited for being around micros.

Most RP environments these days are done in crap like F-list, not exactly what I'd call a solid roleplay environment. Let alone a place I feel comfortable playing Ian in canon. Which is a shame really, that side of him is fun to think about.

In actuality Ian is manipulative, conniving and partly hedonistic, all shelled within a gentlemanly demeanor. He -CANNOT- fly, and in fact is afraid of heights. He is also creeped out by bugs, especially spiders.
In public Ian is polite, well spoken, likes to tease, and has a jealous streak he often has to keep in check. He is not single mindedly obsessed with "Shinies", but he does collect them and sometimes has to keep from staring. He's also not afraid or ashamed to talk about his private interests. He works from the home as a landlord.

In private he's something of a power bottom. More dominant with smaller partners, dominating same sized or larger partners for his own pleasure. He's only forceful with those who enjoy it, even if they won't admit it. He'd still be under the assorted body parts of those bigger and stronger then he is, but of his own choice. He trusts these partners not to do any permanent harm no matter how rough they are, and in the end are still on -his- leash.


And there is an alternate canon: Where he crossdresses, changes his voice to sound female, and manipulate/hypnotizes people Poison Ivy style in to gathering shinies and riches for his/her hoard.

I have one roommate already, leaving a potential of 2 more. I'm very choosy about who I let in, but.
I don't charge rent for the room, my roommates get to stay for free minus supplying the room with sharable food and drinks. You must be clean, no smoking in the room, and no -heavy- drinking. General pawsluttery optional. :V

"Fursona" Meme

What made you choose the species of your main fursona
Originally Alex, the tiger, was a simple product of randomization. I "began" my descent in to furrydom via the game Furcadia. Simply by choosing what I thought looked cool at that time (I was very young at the time), I was left with the green haired, green striped feline wearing red clothes.

Ian however was a product of my own imagination and interests put to paper. I wanted a creature that would not be so easily swept aside as "just another cat/dog/dragon/etc", An avian came to mind as they are rather exotic and uncommonly seen, a small list of bird types whittled away to leave him as a crow. The American Crow, of which Ian is modeled after, is the most common crow of my area so I went with that.

Is your fursona just like you, or how you want to be?
A bit of both, but mostly towards the latter. Primarily for his whit and silver tongue. A perk of the internet, being completely acceptable to spend 5 minutes or more concocting a reply. Allowing ample time to mentally debate the response where as a face-to-face conversation does not.

Does your fursona have the same personality you have?
Yes. While I may not be as silver tongued as the bird passes off. I'm easy going with those I'm familiar with. We're easy to trust, and rather spiteful when that trust is broken. We're both teases, of a playful sort. I don't enjoy making people uncomfortable. We both also have a slight jealous streak, one I've learned to curb over the years.

Interesting note: Ian typically speaks more properly, full words. Where as Alex typically speaks with my own 'Southern' dialect, using multiple contractions.

Does your fursona have the same dislikes and likes as you do?
Yes. The obvious two being blatantly obvious. I am just as mush a 'pawslut' as my characters are perceived. (However I don't take the liberties the internet allows, RL I keep it in check, reserving it solely for others who are likewise interested)

Ian and I are both carnivores, we both like playing a little rough, We do not like heights, and a whole list of other minor things. (Clearing up the heights thing. Ian -cannot- fly, contrary to the stereotype. His wing-laden arms work for flying as well as your own arms do.)

Does your fursona look like you at all?
Not at all. I'm of a slightly short, stocky, heavyweight build. Ian is a lithe, featherweight swimmer style body.

Is your fursona the same gender as you, if not why?
No, I'm actually a woman. Nevermind, someone will think I'm serious.

Do you have more then one main fursona?
Not really. I have many characters. But Ian is the one that most closely represents me.

Do you have a back story for your fursona, if so does it have anything to do with your own history?
Not really. I play my characters in the here and now, since I often have a specific mindset for each character, I let them play themselves out in a sense. Though some of their knowledge and abilities copy over from me. Example being that Ian makes a living flipping houses, As I do.

If your fursona mated? If so is it to your real life significant other?
Nope, Nor do I have an SO. Though it's occasionally teased between  monkmiroku and myself that Ian and Conejito are BFs. Nothing cannon.

If not are they looking for a mate, or are they a swinger?
I'd have to say somewhere in the middle. Not looking, but not against it either. Typically getting along with anyone.

Is there something special about your fursona that you think sets them apart from others?
I dunno about as a character in general. But as far as other giants are concerned Ian doesn't rely on his size and strength to bully smaller creatures. He's much more amused by using his whit and tongue. Charming victims in to doing what he wants, what he knows they want him to want.

Do you have much art of your main fursona/s?
Obviously. :P Perhaps one or two extra I keep within my personal files. :>

Would you ever consider parting with your main fursona, if so why?
No. My characters are my intellectual property. If someone else 'owned' him, it wouldn't be -my- Ian anymore. At that point they might as well make their own giant bird.

If you suit, do you have a suit of your main fursona?
I do not, nor do I suit currently. But I would love to have a good suit, and have had many ideas on how I'd commission a crow suit be done. [Example: A bird call in the mouth, so I could make proper crow noises when appropriate.]

Have you ever roleplayed with your main fursona, or do you prefer not to?
I do, yes. An obvious question to many, but I'm sure not all my watchers knew.

Having received confirmation of my rooms at the Hilton, I'm reminded that FC is next month, and that I have no confirmed roommates.

I warn you now that I'm picky about those I room with, don't take it personally If I have to turn you down.

As for the room itself I'm in the Hilton San Jose, so I'll be right above the convention itself. I pay for the room personally, so my roommates don't have to pay for lodgings. However this also gives me full autonomy over the room. I don't allow smoking or heavy drinking, I expect the room to be moderately kept, and instead of payment I just ask my roommates to invest in a bit of food and drink to share amongst the room. Roommates are free to bring along whatever they please including fursuits as well as alcohol and smoking accessories. I only require drinking be done in moderation, and do not allow smoking within the room.

Thinking I'm finally going to break and change from a 2 monitor setup to 3. My GPU has two DVI outputs and there's an unused 3rd on the motherboard. First off, I need to know if that's fine to do, or If I'd need all outputs coming from the GPU.

Secondly, any of you have recommendations on tri-monitor mounts and/or monitors? Thinking I'll get a new desk while I'm at it, and a mount would keep me from having to sacrifice desk space for a trio of standing monitors.

For those of you versed in graphic design, I need your expertise in designing a flyer/poster for an event I want to start, the Peachtree StreetPass meet.

A Bi-monthly StreetPass meetup at the Books-A-Million Cafe in The Avenue, 258 City Circle
Peachtree City, GA 30269. Every 1st and 3rd Saturday from 3-4pm.

I'm looking for anyone living in or around south Atlanta or nearby to Tyrone. I'm pretty fed up having only one friend in the area to game with and generally hang out.
