Shorter Days and Cold Winds
General | Posted 5 years agoAugust has been slow and busy somehow? I have lacked real motivation since coming back from holiday, maybe I need another holiday or the state of the world is starting to get to me again.
YCH are open again! I'm slowly re uploading them so I don't get swarmed all at once xD
Commission prices have been slightly revised but the base price for a single character remains the same.
Patreon tiers are changing too! I'm keeping the sketches but I am turning patreon into more of a support system for me. I appreciate all of you who have supported me thru it over the years so far, you make a huge difference in my life!
I hope you guys will enjoy the new and reworked ych! can't wait to show them to you!

Under Construction!
General | Posted 5 years agoSome of you may have noticed, my unlimited ych are under construction!
I'm working to redraw all of the older ych and bring the canvas sizes up for all of them, fixing some of the poses too. Some of these ych I made back in 2016 and my skills have changed since then and whenever I draw of them now, I really just want to fix so many things!!! So I'm taking the time to do just that. YCH used to also be strictly cell-shaded, back when I knew nothing better in terms of shading. I use to spend alot less time on a ych then I do now. which makes the current prices a bit of a problem for me right now. I'm going to be putting the ych prices up and I know the redraw will add value as well as how far my shading and coloring has come.
This will NOT affect anyone currently on my trello queue. You guys all get the current prices at the time you reserved your spot. The queue is closed however, until I can finish the redraw of the ych and set new prices.
There's no price changes coming to commissions.
I'm also interested in ideas for futur ych you guys might have! Themes, poses anything!
A lil' history on the ych, back in 2016 they used to cost 15$ each :P in 2018 I put them up to 30$. Spring Time!

As spring time approaches I'm happy for the leaves and flowers to sprout! I'm finally able to sit on my balcony :P and tend to the garden! I'm also now the only person in my condo building to still have work/income. every body else is on the CERB emergency funds...

Jan - Feb update!

Just wanted to give you a short update on what's happening right now! I've joined the awesome staff of Furnal Equinox and I've been working hard :P
There are 60 days before Furnal Equinox in Toronto and so many things left to do!
I'm going to be busy with pre-convention staff work for the next two weeks. This has and will slow down comm and ych, which is why I haven't invoiced any new art yet!
And I also have to get my new merchandise designed and printed! So many cool new things that I can't wait to show you!
So just keep in mind that things are a bit slow until all the convention stuff is built up! I'm pretty on track to go back to normal comm and ych in mid feb!
Who knows, if there is time I could even open up some badges for convention pick up if anyone wants a cool Retro Rewind badge for this year!

Turns out I won't have to wait until March to figure out what I am doing with going back to being freelance. It's very likely happening this month. Which is great! Scary, but great.
It's not all about predicting the future, it's more about reacting and adapting.

Ending of 2019
General | Posted 6 years agoThank you guys for another great year on FurAffinity!
2019 was a really busy year for me and so many things happened on the professional and personal side. There were ups and downs but I think I'm finishing on a note that is high enough for me to be happy with it :P
So many changes happened that I couldn't keep up! I've had to do a lot of work on myself, I don't think I've ever stopped and looked at myself as much as I have this year. It's been a very hard and very necessary experience and I was lucky enough to be surrounded by the right people and have the right guidance. It was a tough year on me, not going to lie, and it was tough until the very end.
BUT (butt)
it's helped me put things into a more realistic perspective. It's helped me grow as a person. I am more aware of myself.
My day-job has been super supportive and as much as I hope they will never read my journals, I am truly lucky to have found them (or rather that they found me).
My parents have been so present and understanding too. They have always been there for me but I feel like this year they worked hard to understand what I was going through and not judge me.
My hubby somehow hasn't left! He puts up with my stupid self questioning and he is very patient and helpful.
All of you guys have also helped. I make art for you guys and it's the best thing in the world to know that you look at it and you love it!
I always set goals for myself and for 2020, it's going to be a bit different. There are some loose ends I want to tie up in terms of on-going projects. There are on-going and new project that I want to give more love to. I want animations on my page, and not just sketchy ones!!!
For 2020:
-I want to bring projects to completion, some are nearly done, some have been started and then put on hold.
-I want to draw personal art. I'm not going to lie, I'm worried about loosing some of you with this. I'm scared of rejection and specially if it's something personal...
-I want to animate! I have an on-going commissions that is a short animated thing. I have other things on the back burner too!
-I want to be important. I want a few days off every now and then... I want to feel relaxed. I need to feel important in my own eyes, I have to listen and be more kind to myself.
This means that I will revise how I take commissions and ych :) I want to keep drawing for you guys but I also need sleep. I haven't come up with a system yet but rest assure, you will know when I'm open! And I remain active on here and on telegram and discord and twitter and everywhere.
This does not affect people currently on the list! My holiday schedule is a bit crazy but I intend to get as much done as I can :)
I wish you guys the best this holiday season. Be responsible for your own happiness. Don't wait for someone else to rescue you from having to make choices. Saying no isn't bad, it's not a failure it's just part of listening to yourself. If you're ever in a bad spot, ask for help. That's honestly the best thing you can do for yourself.
Most importantly, be kind to yourselves and others.

Patrons' rewards will be coming out this week as well as the ych currently in my to do list! I'm working on some animations every week end to get the ball rolling with that. Currently posting them on my twitter and patreon. As per usual Patrons will get first dibs on any ych resulting from these!
Speaking of which, patron early access ych will be making their way to my FA page soon! Just wanted to clear some of the ych on my list before posting a new one!
I also got approved for two tables at Furnal Equinox in March 2020! I'm going to be promoting a couple of games I'm working on plus selling my merchandise! I'm planning to have 3 dakimakura designs, at least a couple of prints and of course, a new original shirt design! Time permitting I might finally get around to testing the heat press on colored fabric and add some variation to my stuff. I also need new buttons and stickers :) cause those are always fun to make and I found a way to make them at home ^^
It's also my plan to make it to CanFURence this year as a dealer if I can squeeze in and get a table :P
For those interested, I do acrylic standee commissions, custom buttons with your characters on them, I can also custom print shirts and other clothing item with your characters on it and I also do badges!

Second Half of October
General | Posted 6 years agoI am back from the ComicCon Frenzy!
I'm happy I got to meet my local furries and some I had seen at FE ^^ Thanks so much for supporting my booth and my art!
I won't be doing the ComicCons anymore because I could barely handle it! Also two in a row was too much. I will be sticking to Furry Cons! I want to bring you guys some more cools tuff at Furnal Equinox and CanFURence! I've been working on some ideas for the retro theme and the steampunk theme!
I want to be back to full drawing power by the end of the week :) I'm going to get the last patreon sketches out and get a move on with commissions!
YCH should be re-opening next week end with some patreon exclusives crossing over to my FA page :)

Onward! to the next ComicCon!
General | Posted 6 years agoSmall update in between work and convention!
Laval ComicCon went great! Saw a lot of local furs that I had not met before, and saw some I knew already ^^ It's a very different experience from furry cons but I'm glad I went. Learned more stuff about having a table at a con. There is the Quebec City comicCon next week end and I've been told it is much bigger!
Whilst a ComicCon isn't the place to sell furry merchandise.... we don't have a local furcon around here so this is the only place to meet other furs in a convention setting.
I'm still a bit unsure about what I'm doing selling at cons but for now it's fun xD The disconnect between my merch and my commissions makes it hard for me, I like doing both but I don't feel people who want one, want the other.
Other small update, the situation that's cause me to go on a break is slowly resolving itself. I plan on re opening and going back to normal pace in two weeks! I'll keep you posted.
Patreon sketched will be worked on this week along with some telegram stickers ;)

Small No Update

I've been closed since mid-august for commissions and ych and I had hoped to be back up and running by now but I didn't hit the floor running. I will remain closed until I feel I am ready to open again. The only unaffected people are my patrons. The rewards are still being delivered as scheduled.

Holiday + Break

We had a lovely time on holiday, I'm all rested now :) I've been working on my 72 gallons to fix the aquascaping and transferring my fish in there! Happy with it so far! Ordered a new neon for it but the shop broke it so... another one had been ordered!
I'M ON BREAK!
What does this mean for you? Commissions and YCH are closed for now.
I might be taking a couple of commissions, I don't know, depends how things are moving! I have three people that were on my waiting list so I'll get to them in time. I'm hoping to post the vore money fundraiser, maybe an animation auction, bases, I don't know. Whatever I do, I will be posting when something happens!
Ah yes and this changes nothing to Patrons! They will be the only commissions that will get done every month! Check it out if you want a cheap black and white sketch of colored sketch!
