Posted 7 years agoHello guys! I though that I had tunnel syndrome as my ring finger and pinkie are numb but it wasn't the case. I came to neurologist today and got diagnosed with initial state of damaged elbow nerve. It is nothing too dangerous, this state is curable and revertable, but recovery comes with a dose of movement restriction
What does it mean?
I won't be able to draw as long as I want for a while and finishing a YCH or commission might take longer time.

I suppose it is all the suspended art I didn't draw during the working months (almost a year!) trying to get out all at once

Posted 7 years agoAnd I'm not sure how I feel about it! I still have to finish current shift but I feel somewhat more free I guess? I'll be looking for the new, better one job but hey! I guess I'll be depending on YCHs and commissions for a while!

Posted 8 years agoAaaay macarena I am 23 now. And I will have to spend this day on job. Future plans: try to at least get into drawing for mobile games (hopefully i'll get there myself or some mobile game wizard of empoyment will bring me there) and leave my current job

Posted 8 years agoSoon they will end I have to say it is a good experience. I kinda stopped being afraid of interiors actually. I've got a bunch of stuff to fix and make better and a wish to have money to buy concept art course about character design. I want to do things better! And possible get into game development! Even if it would be drawing smallish stuff for phone games
Also aaaayyy lmao I'm turning 23 soon. I managed to survive another year of this life and I hope it will eventually get better

Posted 8 years agoMy younger brother brought them from somewhere and last night mom found, where they nested.
Which was the sofa my bro sleeps on.
There are two good things: 1. sofa will go into trash along with the bugs, 2. there was enough of my savings to share with mom to buy a new sofa.
And one huge bad thing: my PayPal account now got a hole in it the size of Texas

Tablet trouble

It works as if I was pressing the pen all the time even if i idk
keep the pen at distance
I reinstalled the drivers and restarted the laptop multiple times but the problem stays and it troubles me a lot
This cannot be the age issue, this tablet is damn fresh
I use Wacom One, does anybody know what might be the problem?

Posted 8 years agoCurrently I am being almost buried alive with art courses, university and job at the same time so currently my activity is at the maddest low. Stress is real and my personal goal at the moment is to survive this year at all.

I want to remind it once again: my commissions are open! And atm there are going 20% discounts for Halloween-themed ones! Right now I'll gladly accept any commission for I didn't have none since August and it actually presses on my funds.

After the longest time I decided that I need to build up a PC, because, sadly, my poor laptop just cannot hold up to my needs fully.
What does that mean?
It means that I will do stuff like commissions, YCHs and all that jazz more often. When the price would be set firmly(I thank it would be aroud $1k), I am going to ut up a tracker, that will show how much money is already gathered and set some goal amounts, at which there would be some free picture raffles.
How does it all sound to you? This is the first time I am doing something of this kind, so if you got some ideas or advice to suggest, I'd be up to listening!

Commission for a person on Discord is in sketch phase
News: Either tomorrow or on the Monday I'll get to know if I got accepted for the job!
Other things: If I get accepted I'll need to eventually somehow afford Photoshop :/ Currently th monthly pay is too much for me

Posted 8 years agoSo, at the moment I'm trying to get into the company that develops Hidden Object type games.
What does that mean: I won't be too active till at least 14th due to working on the test task I was sent.
What about commissions and YCHs: I will finish all the ongoing stuff (1 commission and 1 YCH).
What are the future perspectives: If I get accepted for the job, the chances are that I will become overall less active.

Posted 8 years agoSo, I talked with friend about the job and stuff and suddenly the need in portfolio arised.
I am somewhat scared and lost, currently looking for how to build a portfolio. Friend recommended to go for dA and make a page just for that or ArtStation but with dA I'm just not really sure how to build the page???what to put in there??? and wow ArtStation looks way too professional for the current me.
This is probably a bit of a vent-ish journal but ahhhhhh i surely am in a quite a pickle
