I decided to create a telegram announcement channel for the artwork I commission. Currently has every piece or art I've commissioned, been gifted, and several that I've drawn myself, but those are few and far between.

It's the best way to see all of that since uploading to FA is so slow and tedious. I need to start using PostyBirb to get and catch up. Until then, enjoy!

Holy heck it's happened: I survived everything the world and universe in general could have done to kill me. My lucky streak is going strong! Another year has come and gone and I'm one year older for it!

I love wishing people a Happy New Year on their birthday because, unlike the calendar or lunar new year, this is the time when you, personally, have made another lap around the sun. Just like on the Global New Year, I think a birthday is a good time to reflect on the things you like about yourself, what you don't like, and do you best to become the best possible person you can! We're never going to be perfect, but we can always improve!

So, for everyone who I've met, for those who watch for when I get the rare burst of ambition and post some of my commissioned art, and those that I hold dear, I'm looking forward to spending another year with you all!

Thank you for making my life worth living to the fullest!

Easier just to fav the artists, but then the works get lost in the other stuff that I just really, really like.

Huh... turns out I've been impersonated for a couple years on F-List. As flattering as it is to know that someone liked me enough to pretend to be me, it's also a bit frustrating. Should be interesting to know just how I've portrayed by this guy and if he's made a good or bad impression.

I mean, it's f-list so probably not the biggest deal, but still kinda vexing.

SUPER EXCITED for a couple reasons:
1) I'll have a suit for the first time ever! Probably two! :D

Everyone who cares (or is bored enough to read this) I have completed my 30th lap around the sun. I have to say, it's rather exhausting. But from what I understand people get sad and angry if you suddenly quit.

Morbid humor aside, it's interesting to reflect on everything that's gone on. My life did not go where I thought it would and I'm ok with that. Though I've evolved into complete furry trash. I should stop that. Art commissions are tempting and addicting, but I hardly remember to upload what I get so, whatev. My dropbox is getting packed.

I wish I had something more profound to say. I just finished my taxes, so yeah, money present for me!

So, everyone who cares, you've had me for another year. Hopefully that trend continues! Tomorrow I will make a DTD then eat cake and ice cream until I feel sick!

But for now, I sleep!

I'm getting old. I'm turning 30 on the 7th. I'm not sure what to do, if it means anything, but damnit! I'm going skiing and having cake!

I have a good number of short stories and scenes sitting in my Gdocs just waiting to be unleashed on the public at large. As said public, I'm curious as to how you all would prefer them posted.

Some are scenes written in mind to accompany specifics pictures and those will be posted beneath them. Others are full short stories. So here's the question: Do I,
A) Upload the files as a doc and provide a teaser/synopsis in the submission details,
B) Format the entire story for viewing in the text area, or
C) Provide the teaser/synopsis, thumbnail, and link to my weasyl submission?

FA is rather rubbish for writers, but weasyl allows me to publish a written, living document from my gdocs. That means any edits or updates get immediately pushed to the submission page.

I'm in favor of option C with uploads to FA if I write a new chapter in the same story.

Thoughts?

Lately I've been doing a lot of thinking and that never leads to anything good.
This time the topic was what kind of contributor I am to the furry community and FA in particular. Here's the results:

For the longest time I thought of myself as a writer. I've always been good at RP, I really enjoy world and character crafting, and people seem to like the way I phrase things. I've written quite a few short stories and am currently working on more. The thing is, I don't seem to finish editing and publish them anymore; I haven't uploaded a single one since the change to my new account.

What I have been doing, and in large quantities, is paying people with artistic skill to do sexy pictures for me and my characters. I've rather bought into the narcissism of having my 'sona and his supporting cast being displayed all over. I can't say I regret it in the least; I finally am at a point in my life where I can afford to do so without regret and I enjoy the people it's let me meet. However, until I actually start finishing my own works, I'm not much of a writer.

And despite a few continued attempts, I'm not an artist either.

I am an art whore.

So what do I provide at this point? Money to people who can give my character the personality that I haven't been lately. Given that people seem to like Inq's design I'm rather enjoying doing something that lets fantastic and friendly artists keep doing what they're doing.

But I also don't really want to delude myself. I really needed to be able to admit I'm buying exposure out of envy and a need to be recognized. Hopefully I'll be able to start contributing creative, original works again soon.

I want to feel like I've earned it rather than bought it. I want to belong based on my own merit.

So... my first AnthroCon...

I have never seen a city that accepting of furries before. I guess money makes friends out of everyone and holy hell does AC pull in a lot.
While I knew it was the largest furry con in the country, I never quite grasped the full scale of it! Met people from all over the world, got to laugh, drink, tell stories, make friends... I don't think this is an event I'll ever be able to pass up again.

Goal for next year: Suit!
Secondary goal: Volunteer so I get to meet more people and help make an already incredible con even better!

So, I'm still going through my list of commissions and sketches and have a ton left to upload. I've been trying to write out some simple scenes to go along with a few which has been causing some of the delay. Writers block and trying to be a productive adult has slowed the art torrent to a trickle of new things as they come out.

Older stuff is still in bound including  LadyNoFace96 's Narga x Magala set. I'm trying to write a good story to narrate that progression for when I post it.

Over the past year and a half, I've been getting gifted a lot of art, mostly from  Kenvey of his character and mine. Along with the few pieces I've commission, a few I've drawn, and gift art from several other people, there is a lot that has never made it to FA under my profile.

Now that I have a new account with the new layout and new... pretty much everything, I'm trying to go through my folders and slowly upload everything I have. Hopefully I can get through two or three a day.

Once I finally get everything out of my queue, I'll make another journal post and then everything after that will be fresh and new.

At the moment some new stuff is going to be mixed in with old.
