Commission Progress Update
Posted 5 years agoIt's been brought to my attention that "a" update on things is better than no update at all, so here we are again.
Where am I on the Witch's Brew YCH and various commissions? I thought you were trying to be done back when the year started?
That was the plan, but life had other plans. As of January, I put progress on the remaining YCH on hold to focus on one big owed commission I promised for far longer than I'm willing to admit, as it deserves more priority for that reason alone. On top of that are other projects being worked on for both personal and private reasoning I cannot get into. So my workload is... quite troublesome and I've only been able to chip away little by little.
I know "some progress is better than none", but when it's my own work I judge myself pretty hard which makes it difficult to want to work. And if I try to do something else to take the stress off, I find I waste too much time and hate myself for not drawing. Rinse and repeat. >_>;
So, that's the situation, thanks guys for your patience. Back to work for me.

Art Progression Update

November frankly was not a good month for me, for both personal/private reasons, and just for trying to be productive. I don't have much an excuse beyond just "I wasn't prepared to deal with things at the time", and for that I apologize. I hate myself for taking so long on things and having you guys wait on me to get my shit together and finish things.
Now that all said, I've resolved quite a bit of some distractions, so I SHOULD be resuming effective immediately with finishing up owed work. I am pushing to be completely cleared of owed stuff before 2019 is over so I can finally move forward come 2020.
Wish me luck and as always, thank you for your patience.

Figured I'd owe some of you an explanation for my lack of productivity, though I will admit it's not an interesting story.
As stated before, I was seeking professional help to assist in my ongoing depression as I've been struggling with productivity for well over a decade now. Having little to no drive to finish things, and being unsatisfied with what used to bring me joy.
Which is not a good way to live.
Anyway... as of the past couple months have finally been having said sessions to help out, gaining some clarity and enjoyment in things again. Taking it one day at a time, and already finding my mood improving a bit.
Now the big question, "does this mean you'll be drawing again?" YES... Fucking yes. Been going slow/small, but have made it a daily requirement that I draw at least "something", even a doodle to help get out of this funk. And I need to, I cannot keep delaying things and feeling bad about how long I'm taking on stuff or letting people down. Maybe I'm not, but tell that to my mind.
Anyway, that's all I feel up to saying at this time. Again, my extreme appreciation to everyone being so patient.

Posted 7 years agoSo have scheduled meeting with a therapist for some counseling, so here's hoping it helps as still been having more bad days than good ones. Also looking to bring back some livestreaming sessions, both for helping speed through commissions and for fun (including another request sketch stream). That's all I have for now.

Posted 7 years agoGood question, and it's such a difficult question for me, it's both taken this long to comment and even then I'm struggling to make sense of all of it. At the time of posting, I've gone over and rewritten this numerous times.
In short, I'm a depressed miserable asshole who keeps most people at an arm's length because I often feel I don't deserve to be liked.
For those not in the know, I have severe depression, and even though I'm taking medication to help, I still have periods of when I go days, weeks, and in this case, months without being able to do much without forcing myself to. Which, I hate myself for that happening almost every day and night, being caught in an endless loop. I'm also too shy for my own good, leading me to not be very social around people. And even so, when most extend a hand or ear out to me, I'm more than likely to not respond than to accept it.
Despite so many people waiting for new artwork from me, and ESPECIALLY those who ordered commissions from me that have taken this long to get finished. Which, thankfully you have all be beyond patient while I have dealt with that, in which I cannot thank you enough.
With that said, in the coming days will be an art dump of those finished, as well as other pieces just to showcase vastly better artists than I.
Again, I apologize profusely for taking soo long on this, and I wouldn't blame any of you if this has turned you off ordering any further with me until I can get things sorted with my life.

Revenge of the Updates
Posted 8 years agoAfter months of silence, felt it was about time I gave an update on things, despite in my own thoughts, things not being that interesting.
Ultimately is more of "same old" with me, in that during this dry spell I've been dealing with a combination of other projects that take up priority over this account, as well long periods dealing with depression fueled artist blocks that kill any and all drive to work on anything for days, weeks, etc.
Which I have to both give an enormous apology and thank you to those who are still patiently waiting for me to finish your commissions. I am so sorry it has been taking this long to finish your pieces, I cannot stress how awful I feel making you wait this long, and thank you for said patience for said commissions while I've been dealing with things. I promise you, they are coming, they will be finished hopefully soon.

The Updates Wars

First off, commissions. Those those who have made one and still waiting, thank you for your patience, it's much appreciated. Don't want to go into a lot of boring details, but let's just say the past few weeks have been an emotional roller coaster, which has made progress slow. Things are starting to improve, so hopefully they will be finished soon. Again, thank you for your patience.
Second, looking to have some live-stream sessions very soon to help speed up the process of said commissions, and something *I* might regret but you'll definitely enjoy XP In that, planning on hosting a sketch/doodle live-stream opening up suggestions/requests for characters to draw a feet/tickle related image... BUT with guidelines/restrictions. In that 1) no OCs and 2) one character suggestion per user.
Originally was thinking of limited it only to my list of characters for future victim pages (https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/7736778/ ), but that's not really fair to you guys to go "pick ones I wanna draw". Any in the list you want to use, go ahead, but don't feel you have to if someone else is higher on your list. When the event of said sketch/doodle stream is held, the choices will be selected at random.
Oh, and thirdly of this update... is it kinda weird all the revivals we're seeing of 90s and early 2000 programs now? Samurai Jack season 5, DuckTales reboot, FLCL sequel, Dragonball Super, Mystery Science Theater 3000 revival, TV movies for Hey Arnold, Rocko's Modern Life, and now also Invader Zim?! I mean, holy shit, man!

However that wasn't the sole reason I created this new journal, but to basically mention that commissions are going to be basically closed for the time being, as I have been neglecting other work that needs attention to. So until I start to narrow stuff down enough I feel I can balance things out again... or I'm in need of some extra cash, things will be slowing down for a little bit again.
On some brighter news, I can say the newest Journey Edge is 70% done, so you can look forward to that coming back at long last.
Anyway, that's all for now.

What are you hoping for in Journey Edge?
Posted 9 years agoHey, sorry for the long silence. Been busy with work, the holidays, and a really nasty cold/sickness. Thankfully have freed up enough to get some long overdue stuff done before the year concludes.
Naturally one of these is the next few entries of Journey Edge, which I am in dire need to getting the one finished and uploaded. But a thought occurred to me, naturally we're to have Jenn in the future involved in some tight spots with tickling, bondage, etc. But what type of scenarios are you guys hoping for, exactly for her to get involved in. Basically it's completely open for possibilities from monsters, ancient booby traps, dungeons, wizards/witches, pirates, giant spiders, technology, demons, etc.
So what do you want, or at least hope, to see Jenn and whatever characters to come get wrapped up in?

The Full Unfinished Wanted Series list
Posted 9 years agoWith the 9th year anniversary of the first Wanted entry in a few days (the 8th of August), felt something was special despite the series having been put on indefinite hiatus due to a combination of other projects and a personal lack of interest in continuing it.
I've explained in the past I've had a list of characters/entries I intended to do over the years, but never revealed a full release both to keep said characters a surprise, and not to get people's hopes up if I didn't end up making them.
So in honor of the anniversary (despite the debate of whether or not it will be more in the future), here's my list of who I intended to do pages on before it ended. Maybe one day you'll see some of these made, maybe it will remain a what-might-have-been. Or even maybe one of said choices catches your fancy for either yourself to tackle on your own or to ask for in a art commission. *shrug*

I listed Sandy in the past as someone I considered, despite her not being an obscure character. Among the last few Victim entries that followed a theme, this came closest to being one of the final pages. Again, idea is fairly simple, picking characters from 80s properties nobody thinks of (well, except Brain from Inspector Gadget, he's still fairly well known). I went with Swiftheart instead of an actual Care Bear because, honestly, the bears have been done, and again my whole theme was obscure choices. So why not Swiftheart Rabbit? And Belfry was just a random choice as I felt not many will even consider that show for something like this.

I've explained in the past I've had a list of characters/entries I intended to do over the years, but never revealed a full release both to keep said characters a surprise, and not to get people's hopes up if I didn't end up making them.
So in honor of the anniversary (despite the debate of whether or not it will be more in the future), here's my list of who I intended to do pages on before it ended. I listed Sandy in the past as someone I considered, despite her not being an obscure character. Among the last few Victim entries that followed a theme, this came closest to being one of the final pages. Again, idea is fairly simple, picking characters from 80s properties nobody thinks of (well, except Brain from Inspector Gadget, he's still fairly well known). I went with Swiftheart instead of an actual Care Bear because, honestly, the bears have been done, and again my whole theme was obscure choices. So why not Swiftheart Rabbit? And Belfry was just a random choice as I felt not many will even consider that show for something like this.

Gadget has been a constant favourite amongst suggestions and requests for years, so figured I'd toss people a bone. Miss Kitty Mouse was a late choice after rewatching The Great Mouse Detective around the time of planning the page. Bridgit is a character from a Canadian cartoon called Eckhart. I didn't watch the show, but figured it's both obscure enough to be included, and I have a weakness for tomboy girls. And Jeopardy Mouse from the Danger Mouse revival, do I even need to say why she was included? XP

Return of the Updates: FAQ
Posted 9 years agoHey guys, been awhile. Which unfortunately not much exciting it going on to keep you updated on, beyond the obvious of more Journey Edge is coming, I'm doing the next one right now, actually.
So, why update at all just to tell us that? Well, beyond that (and keeping up appearances), wanted to address some questions I've gotten in the past couple months that ties to said project.
1) How come Jenn is a thief now?
"Journey Edge Jenn" is more or less a separate character, much like how there are three Izzys (original, wanted, and orange).
2) Why not just make a new character then? It's confusing!
Because I like the character and rather than go through the trouble of coming up with a slew of new cast, figured it's be easier to focus on the characters I have, just in different situations.
3) I thought Journey Edge and the regular versions were connected? You wrote that in Jenn's profile picture.
Originally yes, I had planned a prologue piece that revealed Jenn getting plugged into the game ala .Hack//SIGN, but ultimately it never even made it past those initial plans. Mainly because overall, it had little consequence/importance to the plot, and me just wishing to get the story moving forward. So, for all intents and purposes, just view Journey Edge as a separate thing.
4) Does this mean the scientist Jenn is gone for good / Jenn is gonna have 5 toes from now on?
Not at all. The original Jenn is still around and may pop up from time to time. It's just another scenario like when I did Wanted with Izzy. Wanted never stopped me from drawing the other Izzys. As for the toe thing, the scientist/Original Jenn will have the toony three toes, while Journey Edge Jenn will have humanoid five toes.
5) Who else is gonna be in this series?
So far I gave Tabitha and Sammy a cameo in the first entry, with plans to have them reappear down the line. In addition Izzy and Tech will show up, along with some other special guests or at least nods to others. Not unlike the Green Dragon tavern logo slightly resembling Kyle Dragon's logo.
6) When is the new entry coming out?
When it's done. I have no consistent timeline plans, as my focus and time is being focused on other things, so Journey Edge is completed by matter of when I find time/desire to work on it. It's one of the reasons I ended up making it a sketch comic, to speed up the process so I'm not wasting days/weeks working on a picture.
7) Are there gonna be any feet / tickle / bondage stuff coming up?
Yes.
8) Are there gonna be any "MALE" feet / tickle / bondage stuff coming up?
Yes. I'm not ignoring half of my viewers on this series, despite the female lead. All in good time, people. Be patient.

But rather than repeat myself for the third time in the whats and whys, thought instead of covering any answers people might have about it as a whole. As in, you all obviously had choices you were either secretly or very openly passionate about seeing me tackle. Now I couldn't obviously make everyone happy, but for curiosity sake what did you want did you want to see me tackle? No judgement on choices, just it's an interest to know who and importantly WHY these characters meant enough to want to see in this. Who knows, might even get added to the list of potential future candidates if/when I do more down the road.
Hell, out of the 29 entries of Wanted I DID tackle, which ones were your favourites and why?

Production has already begun on Jenn's own venture, which again will be something different from my past work. For example, it's progress will again depend on where you the audience choice to send her based on poll votes. I'm actually really excited about this project, and I hope you guys end up liking it once it gets going.

Ongoing Commissions I owe:
My apologies for taking so long guys, your pieces are still being worked on and hopefully will be finished soon. The reason for the delay is basically a combination of balancing projects and my depression acting up. I'm in a better position now, so progress has picked back up after weeks of feeling like shit. Again, sorry for taking soo long, and thank you for your patience with me.
Wanted Series:
After talking to a couple of close friends, the next Victim page will be be the last one for awhile. Now, the series isn't ending entirely... but my interest has been wavering on it for awhile now, so following the next entry it will be going on a hiatus for awhile. Technically this is good news because originally it WAS going to be the finale, with an added epilogue of the character saying goodbye and more or less establishing there are two separate Izzys, not all the same guy, etc. But AGAIN, after talking about it with a couple of people, I was reminded the Wanted series started from my desire to tackle obscure and overlooked characters for fanart (or in this case, tickle fanart), and convinced it better to leave it alone with the possibility they may be more in the future than ending it entirely. Upcoming "Choose Your Adventure/DnD" type project:
While one project is ending, another begins. Since late last year I've had an idea for a project to both keep the IrkinGIR accounts going, while also giving you the users/watchers the chance to help assist in the progress of it's plot. Like those whole "choose your adventure" books or even a little like Dungeons and Dragons, the project in mind is a series of short comic entries with each end giving a series of options that you, the viewers, will vote on how the next pages turn out. Sometimes the option chosen will progress the story, and sometimes it leads right into an ironic fate resulting in a game over/refresh from the last safepoint. Think the death animations from the Dragon's Lair games, but instead of violence it's... well, you know~ XP

Abandoned Ideas (Halloween Edition)
Posted 10 years agoIn the past I've gone over planned Victim Pages for the Wanted series that got scrapped for various reasons (eg. The (Lost) Wanted Series entires), but given this being the month of October, thought I'd share some Halloween-based ideas I had that just honestly never got produced for this page.
1 - Getting the obvious one out first, the piece Botany Study (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6823757/) was originally going to instead feature sentient jack-o-lanterns as a result of trying to create "scarier" pumpkins for the holiday, resulting in Jenn and
sorcererlance's Tatiana on the receiving end of ticklish torment.
2 - Slightly inspired from the horror film Trick r Treat, Jenn returns home after a costume party too exhausted to stay awake and ignores a trick or treater by pretending to be not home. This results in revenge via a creepy "possessed" clown doll being left behind, makes it's into the apartment (never shown how), and causing some scary events to happen to Jenn until, as obvious with my work on here, Jenn finds herself bound in her bed, being tickle-tortured to hysterics by the clown doll (now physically moving). A part of me wishes I made this (or will make this), but it'd be a massive project to undertake.
3 - Psycho Izzy accidentally ends up in Lovecraftian-esq universe and by sheer impulse warps back into Jenn's lab to escape it. But one creature manages to latch onto Psycho Izzy before he warps, and ends up putting Psycho Izzy, Jenn, "Normal" Izzy (yes, there's TWO Izzys), Tabitha and Sammy into their own personal nightmare scenarios. This was fairly non-fetish based in that the climax was not some tickle session, but like the last one, never made because of the time and effort needed to go through with it.
4 - The simplest of all with just the cast in costumes dressed as other characters. Don't ask me what, because I never thought much into it other than just "cast in costumes".
There might had been another, but those four best come to mind.
