pixelhoot to help artists figure out what commissioners want to see the most. It's a question that many people, including myself, struggle with. As such, every response we get is very important data that can really help artists answer this puzzling question. It doesn't ask for personal info and only takes about 5 minutes to complete. Questions about the future?

So, I've been thinking... thinking a lot. I realize now that my life has really gone downhill in terms of happiness, and while I wish I could express all the ways that it has, I don't believe in burdening my watchers with negativity. But I will say this, I'm sick of years of stress and no fun. I miss my friends, I miss going out and doing things, I miss drawing and ART. Dear god I miss ART, just all of the drawing and painting and sculpting and etching and crafting and creating!!! It hasn't been a serious part of my life since I left high school and I feel like I'm losing my god damn mind because of it (and other things I won't mention).
I'm so sick of it all that I've decided enough is enough and I'm taking back the things I love! Change is upon us dammit!
So what does this mean for you guys as watchers?
Well, I can't make any promises right now because there are so many things that I need to get in order, so many little pieces to pick back up. But I am thinking about the future. The things that I can do and make that inevitably will bring some fulfillment back into my life.
This is where I need y'all's help. Can you guys tell me what y'all want to see?
-Tell me what you like about my work/what you hate about it
-Tell me what I should improve upon/what you want to see more of
It's ok to be a critic, I'm at that point in my life where I need to hear the hard truths because I'm determined to change for the better. So please be honest with me guys, I won't hate you for it. <3
As for the ideas I am currently toying with:
1) I'm thinking of making LED resin signs (like these: Link ) in the future. I'm going to start by making one for myself with my logo on it as a test run. If it goes well, I may offer them as custom commissions. If I did, would you be interested in them?
2) I've always wanted to try making sculpy mini charms (like these: Link ) and I have all the materials to make them. Though this is something that i kind of just want to do for fun, how interested would y'all be be with something like this?
3) I also want to try making animal totems that are about the same size as the charms, but I haven't quite figured out how I'm going to do that yet.
4) I wan't to try doing more marker drawings (like this: Link ). Would y'all be interested in seeing more of this? maybe badges too(so long as I can get hold of a lamination machine)?
5) I also wan't to go back to my more realistic style a bit too. You guys haven't seen very much of it here because I don't have any way to scan 90% of my traditional work. So I wan't to try to get more of that side of me online. ( Don't worry, I still plan on practicing with toony stuff too)
Anyways, I know this is a lot to read and consider but I would greatly appreciate hearing back from you guys on this. Honestly the more of a response I get, the more driven I will be to see this through.

Still alive baby!
Posted 10 years agoSo yeah, been gone a while I know. But hey here's an update.
Life got mega hectic with midterms before spring break but then spring break hit and things got crazy in a different way. 9w9 I finally got to sleep and pick up some extra shifts, so that was nice. But the best part was I got to hang out with friends that I haven't seen in almost 2 years! We went to a Saint Patricks day party, played the new Smash, drank, ate cake and delicious food stuffs and had quite a few interesting conversations. (really didn't realize how much I missed that ;w;) Also it was my birthday over the break, ffff I'm getting OLD! '>.> Still had fun though. Ate delicious ramen, my friend baked me the cake from portal (and she put brandy in it lol), and I got a pissed off Toothless plushy. Seriously the thing has the angriest face I've ever seen on a stuffed animal. xD Other wonderful gifts were bestowed on me as well: an N7 sweater, Alpha Sapphire, Ocurina of Time, Majora's Mask, and a... unmentionable item plus accessories from the lovely
twbviper.... Damn perverted fox (still hate you for buying that for me btw! >m<' )
Since then I have returned to the land of working your butt off and edumacation. Gotta say I can't wait for summer at this point. Also I was in a car accident... which is always such a nice thing to experience, and I'm in the process of dealing with the damages. No worries though, I'm physically fine and it wasn't my fault so the fucker who hit my car is gonna pay! *Bwahahahahahahahah*
On a positive side note, I may in the future post some doodles documenting the birthday adventures from spring break. We shall see. :d

Four hours of sleep for 3 days in a row, which is happening at least once a week, is crossing the insanity line a little too far.
This poor devil loves to sleep and is being forced to write essays and lab reports, do math and chemistry learning modules, ICAs, quizes, Hw and worksheets instead. Oh the inhumanity!
First world problems, I know. xP

Posted 10 years agoWell first off I'd like to say sorry I haven't been around the last couple of weeks or so and I hope everyone had an awesome new year celebration. Mine was hectic but very fun. The family and me went out to a pub and listened to live music till 2AM. Then everyone went back home and took shots of tequila and vodka and other stuff (can't really remember). Next thing we know we are dancing it up in a gay bar with a crazy light up dance floor till 4AM... so yeah it was interesting xD
As for the rest of the lowdown, I've been working A LOT and taking qualifying exams for this upcoming semester... which is of coarse so much fun >.>
Speaking of next semester, I have 17 credit hours! Of which includes: calculus, chemistry, chem lab, biology, upper division psych, and a debate class!(all on top of work) So in other words... I'm Going To DIE! TwT As an added bonus, just 1 required text book (literally ONE) to rent is $148. Not like I'm required to have 8 textbooks this semester, right?
Well you know what they say, there's no rest for the weary. Maybe I'll get to doodle something on my tablet between classes ;w;

Random Question (and potential prize!)
Posted 11 years agoDoes anyone know of an animal anatomy site that displays images or 3D models of muscle structure?
(similar to this one, just not with people: http://www.posemaniacs.com/ )Reason I ask is that I've been having trouble finding a reference for a tattoo I'll be working on. While I may have confidence in my ability to draw this design, I think it would be nice to have a reference to fall back on. Especially when you consider the pose my client wants has never been drawn in a realistic fashion. In this case specifically, I'm looking for Big Cat references.
***As an added bonus for your help in this matter; whoever provides me with the best reference site for what I am looking for will receive a FREE PIECE of ARTWORK from me. Nothing too complex, probably a bust shot or feral drawing, that is fully colored and shaded. Your choice of digital or marker drawing.

It's been a long time
Posted 12 years agoIt's been a retardedly long time since I've updated my journal, so I figure this as good a time as any.
Seeing as most of you know I'm really bad at giving regular reports, you probably aren't going to read this with any real expectations, and I can't say I blame you. As such I'm not going to pour out pages and pages about what has happened in my life since the last update. But between this journal and the last I've come to realize something... I am a VERY obsessive person. I get an idea in my head that I really like, and I focus on it non-stop everyday seven days a week for a couple of months and then, that idea falls off the face of the planet. ._. This is not a good personality trait, and I'm sure it has left many people hanging. For that, I sincerely apologize. If I ever agree to do something out of leisure and have talked extensively to you about it, please feel free to get me moving with a cattle prod. Just because more often then not, I've already started it and somewhere along the line (be it because of work, school, etc.) have simply forgotten it, and need a reminder that it's still there.
On another side note, I've been updating too much cartoony stuff lately. It seems as though that's the only thing I do with my tablet now a days, and considering I still don't have a bloody scanner large enough for my traditional work, this trend doesn't provide a very interesting gallery. '9-9 So I'm going to try, and I say this very loosely given what I've said above, to create some more serious works to post along with the cartoony stuff. Hopefully this time I'll be able to keep my word.
As for a random update about me: I'm in the process of trying to transfer between colleges, started watching Lost (I know, I know, I'm waaaay behind that bandwagon >w> ), started watching Archer, finally read all of the Hunger Games books in 3 days (the last book sucks btw -_- ), I am now offering logo commissions, I may or may not be designing a tattoo for someone, I'm still studying my sword style, I dropped fencing, started doing game commentaries on Youtube, and made a Weasyl account (same username as this one).

Seeing as most of you know I'm really bad at giving regular reports, you probably aren't going to read this with any real expectations, and I can't say I blame you. As such I'm not going to pour out pages and pages about what has happened in my life since the last update. But between this journal and the last I've come to realize something... I am a VERY obsessive person. I get an idea in my head that I really like, and I focus on it non-stop everyday seven days a week for a couple of months and then, that idea falls off the face of the planet. ._. This is not a good personality trait, and I'm sure it has left many people hanging. For that, I sincerely apologize. If I ever agree to do something out of leisure and have talked extensively to you about it, please feel free to get me moving with a cattle prod. Just because more often then not, I've already started it and somewhere along the line (be it because of work, school, etc.) have simply forgotten it, and need a reminder that it's still there.
On another side note, I've been updating too much cartoony stuff lately. It seems as though that's the only thing I do with my tablet now a days, and considering I still don't have a bloody scanner large enough for my traditional work, this trend doesn't provide a very interesting gallery. '9-9 So I'm going to try, and I say this very loosely given what I've said above, to create some more serious works to post along with the cartoony stuff. Hopefully this time I'll be able to keep my word.
As for a random update about me: I'm in the process of trying to transfer between colleges, started watching Lost (I know, I know, I'm waaaay behind that bandwagon >w> ), started watching Archer, finally read all of the Hunger Games books in 3 days (the last book sucks btw -_- ), I am now offering logo commissions, I may or may not be designing a tattoo for someone, I'm still studying my sword style, I dropped fencing, started doing game commentaries on Youtube, and made a Weasyl account (same username as this one).

Okay, so I know it's been forever since I said I was doing these free sketches on the FAF (like back in october...), but now they are done! Sorry it took so long, I haven't had much time to draw or do anything leisurly in RL for quite some time.

Posted 14 years agoWell since I've joined FA I realized I haven't done very much to really introduce myself, so I figured I'd start now by answering some questions with my very first journal. So say hello to the:

Race/ancestry: 1/2 Brazilian, 1/2 American (AKA: a lot of mixed whiteness)
Religion: Don't have one :/ I kinda just have my own belief system going down

Explain your username:
iTallaNT (pronounced I. Talla. N. T.) : This is a combination of my nickname ("Talla"), my initials ("N.T."), and a stylistic choice used to somewhat say that "this is me" ("i" like in ipod). It came into being when I needed a username for a video game and wanted to have something that sounded cool but was also original (like none of this : bob1234, xX_bob_Xx, or 130b). Also I realized after I made it and started to play online that a lot of people read it out loud as "I Talent," which I thought was kinda funny but cool too. So since then iTallaNT has been my thing ever since.
Explain your icon:
Right now, it's a pic of a Taz that I sort of tweaked a bit to make it look more like my fursona with some warpaint/okami styled blue markings.
How would you describe your personality?
hmmm.... lazy, sarcastic, stubborn, tomboy, and fierce when there's a need to be. I'm calm normally but man if you hit my buttons I'm a bottle full of attitude. xD
How would other people describe you XD?
Crazy, nerdy, loyal, and caring are things I hear often
Are you Afraid of anything/have any phobias?
Roaches.... and some other bugs. I don't mind if they are outside or in someone else's place, but the second they are on me or in my food I freak out
What’s your favorite physical feature about yourself?
Hmmm... My nails (or should I say claws lol)
What’s your most hated physical feature about yourself?
All the fat... the scars on my waist, my hips, my eyebrows... My SHORTNESS! D: I'm not too proud of myself
Do you have any physical disabilities/ailments?
My hips are out of place due to a car accident (it was so bad that I had to learn how to walk again) and they didn't re-set them while I was in the hospital. So now my muscles set in really weird, giving me some severe issues.
Do you have any SPECIAL/FREAKY Abilities 8D?
I can Draw!OMG!11!1 jk, lets see... I can move my nose like a rabbit, pop nearly every joint in my body, and dislodge that muscle that rests at the base of the lower jaw (like a snake)
Are you the first, middle, last, or only child? And who are your siblings?
I'm the middle child, got 2 bros
How many cousins do you have? Big family?
5 on my dad's side and like 50 something on my mom's side... crazy Brazilians lol
Do you WANT to have children? If so how many?
NO not happening, I'm not gonna have kids cause for 1)it's painful (especially with my hips) and 2)there are plenty of children out there already who need good loving families. IF I want a kid, I will adopt one.

An Animal Behaviorist and on the side a concept artist

Yes, kinda. I've been making a fursuit for an okami tron crosover cosplay for a while now. Everything is finished except the head (Which I'm having issues with =T^T= ) and the detailing.
