I did! It was fun!

Doodled a bunch in people's books, spent time with some really nice fuzzbutts (not going to list them because that'd take all day), ate a lot of junk food, drank a lot of alcohol and made some new friends (they'd also take all day to list)!

Also, my roommates Fat, NorthernZip, MilkyBody & TheHeliumTiger were all so big! So round! :3c

It didn't disappoint and I hope next year's is just as good!

We're half a month away from AnthroCon's hotel registration so we gots some planning to do!

Yeah! Furry con!

Got back from Midwest FurFest on Monday but was too sick to do anything until now...
So, following the traditions of attending a convention, here's my "quick" recap:
• Wasn't able to get Thursday off so I had to drive 8+ hours after an 8+ hour shift.
• Google Maps decided to crash in the most inconspicuous way possible and it took an extra hour to get back on track.
• Almost had to sleep in the lobby but we luckily got that sorted out!
• Friday is when the fun started and the initial meet-ups occurred
• Commissioned some cool people in the Artist Alley and hung out with some fun fatties
• Friday night was uneventful.
• Saturday featured more commissions and hanging-out!
• Embarrassed myself in front of a dude that I admire and under odd circumstances to boot.
• To those who walked in on us Saturday evening, that was exactly what it looked like~
• Saturday night was when the Chlorine gas thing happened and, after getting evacuated, I slept on concrete...
• Sunday morning was Groggy Con and the goodbyes unfortunately began.
• We went to a Brazilian Steakhouse (as part of a 20+ person group) and I was that guy who kept eating when everyone else was full...
• Had a bunch of alcohol left so a sweetheart cat introduced me to a rapidly expanding room party.
• A few drinks in, I started doodling some free commissions for some guys and they both offered interesting forms of payment!
• Drunkenly wandered around the lobby and met up with some nice Quebec Furs! (Got to talk in French with 'em too!)
• Got a good night sleep and woke up already feeling the effects of con crud.
• Drive home was super long due to frequent puking.
• Had to stay home sick on Tuesday but feeling much better now!

All in all, it was a fun time and I even got to learn some unfortunate lessons too!
And, if all goes well, MFF should be seeing more of my dumb face again next year!

Since I'll be a busy kitty at MFF, I'm gonna add a tiny modification to my ''All Or Nothing Commissions'' test run!

Here's the updated info:
• I open five commission slots
• Once all five slots are filled or one full week goes by (whichever comes first), the clock starts and I begin drawing
• If I'm unable to complete and post all drawings within exactly one week from the start time, they're all free!
• If I manage to complete and post all drawings within exactly one week from the start time, they cost the listed price.

I call it "All Or Nothing Commissions" and no subject matter is out-o'-bounds! (i.e.: raunchy or tame, it's all the same~)
As for prices, I'll be using special lower rates for testing purposes so, if this works and I do it again, they might go up!
All money transactions will be done through Paypal.

Here are the test prices: (includes up to two characters)
• Sketch - $5
• Line art - $10
• Coloured - $15

As a result, I'll be closing unused slots at 6PM (EST) on Friday November 28th, 2014.

So, loooooong story short, this year's Anthrocon was pretty fun and slightly complicated! (Mostly due to work related stuff)
Met a bunch of cool people (I'd list 'em but there were a lot) and got to hang out with lots of old friends.
Got some nice commissions done and was not able to do the Artist Alley due to being dumb.
Did a lot of stuff but didn't get to do half of the things that I was hoping.
Ate a bunch of good food and only got sick a few times.
Drank a bunch and didn't get sick at all.

Roomies this year were Nate, Nargle, Odendo, Zip & Bea.
We were super dumb and, as a result, often couldn't get to sleep until the wee hours of the morning.

In any case, I'd say it was worth the trip and I can't wait until next year!

So, like many, I'll be attending Anthrocon again this year and I'm pretty psyched about it!
Not fully sure what will be on the agenda while there but the Artist Alley sounds like it could be fun. Maybe I should apply for a day or two?
In any case, if you'd like to hangout (or at least say hi), continuously call out my name and I'm sure someone will answer... Maybe even me!
(Alternatively, you could always check the Zoo 'cause I usually spend most of my time there...)

In more boring news, some not-exactly-good stuff happened, some stuff is uncertain and I'm hoping for some pretty cool stuff in the near future...

Time for a quick 'vacation wrap-up' journal!

My vacay started on June 28th with a flight down to see my sweetheart~
We cuddled a bunch and watched a lot of important pop-culture movies that he hadn't seen yet.
After a few days of lounging, we gathered our supplies and headed out to AnthroCon 2013!

We drove down with Nate and Nemo.
Lots of silly things were said on our four hour commute and we also had very important discussions on very important topics.

Once there, we (i.e.: Nate, Nargle, Unit, Bea & myself) met up for room set-up stuff and then we hung out in the Zoo.
In fact, a lot of our time was spent in the Zoo! That's where I got to meet lots of new & interesting peoples (you know who y'all are) and I also drew in their sketchbooks a bunch too!
I commissioned a few pieces in the Artist Alley, put on an impromptu concert in the Artist Alley, bought a few things in the Dealer Den, watched some drunk guy make a fool of himself on the 4th of July and did some more of the aforementioned hanging out with cool peoples in the Zoo.
All in all, it was a great convention and I can't wait for next year's~

Our return trip featured the ramblings of only Nate, Bea and I.
We discussed about our various writing projects and it was good.

For the next week after that, Bea and I basically did more of that lounging around thing that we did before the convention.
We watched movies, ate lots of chicken, relaxed together and played some video games.
It was just like a fun 'staycation' with my fiancé except that I spent it in another country c:

My flight back was on Saturday July 13th and I arrived rather exhausted in Montreal on Sunday July 14th.
I would have preferred to stay longer with my sweetheart (or to at least have a few more days before getting back to the grind) but work really needed me...

Anywho, that pretty much sums up (in not-too-much detail) my summer vacation!
I greatly enjoyed these last two weeks and I hope y'all did too!
