Updates!

First the Bad stuff

Last September school took my time and then we found out my Dad's cancer was terminal.

He passed away in the middle of October.

The Ugly part of this was that I was (and still am) deeply affected by it. I was very close to my Dad. But I also had people that blamed me for my grief. I was in trouble in some of the communities I was in for not being communicative enough. The mods knew what I was going though and even though I put all my projects on hold it wasn't good enough for them. I had another mental break down.

But the good news is I'm sort of doing better again. Sort of.

I'm still a very sad pup. But hey the bright side is I'm not as bad as I was depression wise and that is good news right? Right.

Whoo so

I am being treated for depression and a panic disorder. drawing is like wading through waist deep mud which is icky but I'm doing a lot better.

Man BLFC was great. The dealers den was huge compared to last year.
It was great to get to spend time with friends. I miss them already and it was a great little mini vacation before summer courses started.

There were some downsides to the con, it was split into two locations. dealer's den was with the art show and registration, and the other half of the con was tucked away where it was last year. The market place was sort of hidden in the back. Not many people knew where it was, and traffic was meh until con staff opened more doors.

but major props to con staff. The theme was rad, the organization massive. The theme for next year gives this a 2 year story which is amazing.

Here's hoping that next year I can either have a table or just go for fun/work as Danji's table minion again.

So BLFC is here and man am I excited. This is the first time I'm working a table by myself in the Marketplace/artist alley. I'm a little intimidated, but so far it's really lifted my spirits from the funk I was in.

I am so very excited, and looking forwards to this weekend and getting to hang out with everyone.

I will be taking commissions at the convention, and doing badges.
But so far it's just been great to see Danji, Ino and Cerros again.

Ok so updates are in order!

Dad has started chemo. They're putting him on a new cocktail and he's part of a clinical trial for a new drug that was recently approved for melanoma. That starts March 3rd.

School is in full swing and I feel pretty much swamped. So much to do so little time. -_- I have to complete volunteer work and pick a day to do streaming commissions again.

And BLFC. I have an artist alley table (HOLY FUCK) which is pretty banging. If anyone wants to come see me and chat me up I'll be super duper thrilled to have ya stop by.

In advance I will be taking commissions. The grand sierra has SHIT for wifi, as the con is in their basement so be prepared for an internet black out. I will have pawprint necklaces and I will also be offering YCH resin pendant necklaces. They are one of a kind and well trust me, they are amazing.

So Yesterday my Mom sent me a message saying my Dad had turned yellow and he was being admitted to the hospital. We were told that the best case was infection and the worst case was the cancer was back.

Today we found out the news. And it's quite possibly the worst news.

His cancer is back.

In 2013 he was diagnosed with stage four cancer of the small intestine/organs. They did chemo, surgery, and radiation. And he was supposed to be all healthy. 2013 was the worst year of my life, because my dad almost died quite a few times between allergic reactions to blood thinners and vomiting blood and having to be airlifted out of state.

Mom doesn't want me to go out to Utah yet. But in the mean time, any extra commissions would be greatly appreciated, because I really really need to have the money on hand in case I need to get to my parents.

Oh man, It was good to visit with my family. I miss my brother and parents. But I'm much happier to be home.

Streaming will start up in a few days once I get a routine back in order. and man it's good to be home.

I will be at BLFC this year, I just bought my badge and I submitted my market place application.

IF I do not get table space at the marketplace I'll probably ask Danji if I can be their table minion again.

I do enjoy working the tables at cons, it's definitely a fun experience.

I will be tossing up a stream around 2 pm I have to go run errands first through @_@

Just got home from rainfurrest. I'll upload pics.

I did not sell a lot of my paw prink pendants but that's okay. I did do a bunch of badges and it was pretty dang cool to get to do them.

I did a disgustingly cute couples badge that turned out to be suuuuuper pretty. I did a watercolor for Draphilious of Faustorian that was beautiful. A ton of watercolor badges.

I love water colors @_@ and they all turned out amazing.

I have class today so no streams but tomorrow I am hoping to do the 2 take home digital commissions I have at around 2 pm pst.

Overall, good trip.
