Saber-tooth fursuit - Taking Offers! Also, fursuit account!
Posted 11 years agoHey there! As you may or may not know, I've made myself an account for my fursuit only work, so if you're interested in seeing only my fursuit stuff (along with nifty WIP pictures and whatnot of suit work) be sure to give it a watch at
sushinomsuits ! SushinomSuits is in fact the name I have picked for my fursuit business, just something I found to be fun sounding and a reflection of the things I love!
Speaking of fursuits, the toony Saber-Tooth I made is still looking for someone to give it life! I am looking at all offers and possibly willing to part as a partial suit, though I would prefer to make it a fullsuit! The head will fit anyone around 23"-24", the mo-hawk can easily be styled up or smoothed down, fangs are soft and plush, and overall it's just an adorable yet fierce suit! I will be taking more detailed shots of its features this evening for anyone who would like to see! The fursuit will also come with a free badge and fursuit sized bandana! Send me a note if you have any questions or are interested! (Note that the paws can be remade if the buyer chooses, they do not have to be the ones shown)

Free art update: For those who helped spread the word about my friend
I am working on all of your badges and will have them done in the next couple of weeks! Once they are finished I will post them and message you for an address to send it off to, hurray! If anyone else is interested in getting a free badge, post a journal advertising for the saber tooth fursuit and link it to me!
Anyone who does so before April 2nd will get a free badge (head or bust)Two Free Badges!
Posted 11 years ago***Please Read Through Before Posting!***
Hey there! I've been feeling like getting into drawing more again but I'm not sure what to even draw, so I thought I would offer up two free badges(can be bust or full body)! Post a link to your ref and an idea of what you'd like for a badge (pose, expression, etc) and I'll look through and pick a couple. And if I don't pick you the first time around, don't worry, I may go back through and pick a couple more once the first two are done!
The catch! It's not a big catch and it will only take a moment for you, but if you could post a small advertise journal on your FA for my friend
and give her a watch, that would be amazing! She has beautiful art, cool fursuits, and even is doing a rainbow tail raffle right now! Just add the link to the journal in your post when you post your ref sheet! Open for Fursuit Commission quotes! Saber-tooth Stuff!
Posted 11 years agoHey there! Have you been considering getting a new fursuit? Maybe just a head, maybe a whole full suit! If you have, now is your chance to get a quote and maybe nab my open spot for a fursuit commission! Completion time will be only a couple of months at the most, so you can have it before AnthroCon this year! Prices vary on complexity of the character and are shown as a base for a more simple design, but here are some general prices!:
Head Only: Starts at $600
Partial Fursuit (Head, handpaws, feetpaws, and a tail) : $1200
Full Fursuit (Head, handpaws, feetpaws, tail, and bodysuit) : $1700
Fursuit Parts: I can make separate fursuit parts, please contact for pricing.
Fursuit Options : For extra charge Fullsuits can be made with digi-grade padding, indoor or outdoor soles, pawpads, claws, horns. Prices for these things will be calculated with the commissioner before the commission is started.
***Saber-tooth Fursuit For Sale***
The mohawk clad punky Saber-tooth fursuit head I recently have made is still up for grabs! He is being sold as a Full Fursuit, made to your choice of colors and fur patterns! The fullsuit can also be made with full digi-grade legs if the buyer chooses! I am looking at any offer over $2000 at the moment!
Whats also great about this suit is that it will have a ONE MONTH completion time! That means you can have it by the end of April 2014! One month does not mean I will be rushing this fursuit, it means this will be the only fursuit I will be working on to be sure I give it as much detail and care as it deserves! All seams will be machine sewn for durability and a long lasting life! Please send me a note if you have any questions or if you are interested!
sushinomsuits - JacekSaber tooth fursuit for sale! Taking 1 fursuit commission!
Posted 11 years agoAs you may have seen in my most recent submission, I have finished the head of the Saber Tooth I have been working on, and I am now taking offers on him as a FULL FURSUIT ONLY. This would include a custom made body, feetpaws, handpaws, and a tail built with the color and patterns you pick out! I would like to make this a digi-grade fullsuit, but it is not a requirement.
I do however, require a Duct Tape Dummy to be sent to me about 2 weeks after payment has been made and the work has been started. This suit will be completed roughly one month after the rest is started on and the suit has been paid off, so that is plenty of time to get it for AnthroCon this year! If you have any questions at all please feel free to send me a note, or e-mail me at bluedagron(at)gmail(dot)com!
Also! If you are interested in commissioning a fursuit from me I am debating taking on ONE fullsuit or partial commission to be completed by June 2014! Message me for details!

Oh hey, it's 2014
Posted 12 years agoHaven't posted for a long while so I thought I would! Though it's nothing amazing, and my life overall is kind of boring, I am however still alive and kicking!
I'm still working at the medical assembly job, and have been working there a bit over a year now and still enjoy it for the most part. I got a raise and I have my own position there, rather than just being a medical assembler I do all sorts of things. So it keeps me busy! Being the main income of my family now has been kind of stressful, but we're figuring it out. My wife
was laid off a while back, but we've made it so far and I plan to keep on going. Which brings me to what else I've been doing!
I've been working on fursuits again (though slowly) and getting back in to the swing of things. I work on them for about 4 hours every night after I get home from work. My main goal this year is to complete at least one fursuit a month to sell outright. I don't have plans on taking commissions at the moment as that does not work very well for me, but it could be in the plans in the future as now I actually have help with them. It will be a lot easier for me to get these done now since Fiwi will be staying home and can work on parts while I am at work. So we'll see where this all goes! I am hopeful and looking up, 2014 is going to be a good year with more ups than downs, I know it.
As for everything else, it's pretty much the same. However I've not been to a local furmeet since maybe last June? So I hope to maybe do some things with them again sometime this year, like the picnics and local fursuit meet ups if they happen, and of course our very own
furcon, Furry Migration, in September! So that is something to look forward to for sure.
http://con.furrymigration.org/ ((link if anyone wants to know more!))
I hope everyone else has been well and got through that terrible "polar vortex" we had going for us earlier this week! Have any questions for me or want to chat please feel free to shoot me a note! Take care all!

My big problem with furry conventions...
Posted 13 years agoIs that I get so used to fursuiting so much everyday during the con, that I get the itch to fursuit even more once I am back home! Gah, I wish Corecon were sooner XP I don't really know any other events or situations I could squeeze fursuiting into until then! I really want to do some fursuiting in the snow this year as well, which I am not as nervous about now since I retiring my current version of Jacek pretty soon (once the new one gets made..sometime)
Any local
want to plan some suiting in the near future? =3
Also, for any of my friends in need of fur to start on their own suits, or ones already in the process, Fabric.com is having a 50% off sale on their faux furs, including their shag furs. So you're only spending about $11/yard on furs and get free shipping on orders over $35. They're having this sale until Monday, so I think you should check it out!

MFF!
Posted 13 years agoWoo! We got back home from MFF last night, and let me tell you that was the most fun I have ever had! I'll do a full official "con report" at a later date, but I just wanted to say, it was all super amazing. I hung out with my bff
as well as the super awesome and fantastic
for a good portion of the convention. I also had the pleasure to meet and hang out with
which was a ton of fun! I met so many suiters that I have only ever seen on FA or in videos, and to actually be able to see them in person and interact with them was so much fun! I also got a few really awesome badges from artists, along with a monster doll from
, who was also so fricken awesome to meet and talk with.
As for now, I have a bit of "con crud" but I do hope with a lot of rest today, and a four day weekend, I can kick it in the butt and be better soon! Thanks so much to everyone who helped make my first furry convention a memorable one. I'm for sure planning to come back next year!

Update on house Burglary!
Posted 13 years agoI got a letter in the mail today from the office of the county attorney saying that both guys who broke into our home, ransacked our bedroom, stole our belongings and our piece of mind back in August have been arrested and are being charged. It makes me very happy to know they are being help accountable for the pain, anger, and fear they have put in our lives. I do plan on going to the court hearing to share our side of how they have made us feel and effected our everyday lives.
Just wanted to update everyone on that, it makes me feel a lot better. I do hope that by being caught and charged that it will help them change their lives for the better. They are both only 18 years old, and both originally from Indiana. Will make me sleep better at night knowing they are caught.

Saying goodbye to your fursuit.
Posted 13 years agoI came to the sad realization the other night that MFF will most likely be the last time I wear my current Jacek fursuit. I try not to be sad about it. By MFF I will have had and worn her (a lot) for a good 4 years now. But the way she was made was far below the work I do now, so she is starting to fall apart a bit. Most of her head was glued together and now sewn like I do with my suits now. I still love and adore this suit, but I know it will be the right time to move on and make Jacek Version 3.
For some reason I have such anxiety about making her. I know that I do better work now and that I am sure it will turn out wonderful...but there is just a nagging part of me that worries. I like this suit so much, will I really be able to make another that I will like just as much if not more? I'm sure it will be fine..I'm just not sure what all I want to change at the moment. I think I will keep Jacek Version 2 around still after the next is done. As long as she is not completely falling appart and looks decent, I can use her for things like Charity events where I know I will be getting dirty and whatnot. Anyways, that's what is going on in my head. Hope everyone is well!

Anyways, that's what is going on in my head. Hope everyone is well!
MFF Meme!
Posted 13 years agoWell since I do have a new job now, I am happy and comfortable saying that I will be attending MFF this year! So, here is my first fur con meme =3
Stolen from
Arrival and Departure:
Friday-Monday
Staying at:
Main hotel
How are you traveling?
Riding with
and
(I think?)
Who are you rooming with?

Where will you be? How best to find me?
I'll be all over I hope! It will be my first furcon, so I want to entire experience!
Who will you be with?
for sure. No idea who else really. Guess I'll see who I run into!
Which suit(s) will you be bringing?
Jacek and the Soda Pup for drop off! Possibly Giga if I finish his partial stuff in time.
Do you do free art?
Maybe, not sure.
What is your gender?
Female
How old are you?
23
How tall are you?
5'6" short and chubby.
Can I talk to you?
Of course!
Can I hug and/or snuggle you
Ask first, and please don't be creepy about it. One hug is alright, pose for a photo and stuff or just for the hug. But please don't fallow me around, asking more more hugs or just being a creeper...please..
Are you nice?
I think so =3
Are you cliquey?
Not really, I like talking to anyone. If we get along and you're cool and want to hang out or fursuit or whatever, I'm down.
If I see you, how should I get your attention?
Well most people pronounce my name wrong (saying Jay-sec rather than Yah-sic) so yelling Dagrons might be better..or just come up to me and say hi =3
Are you fursuiting?
Of course! I can't go to my first furcon and not fursuit. I mean really.
Can I ask you to dance with me during the dances?
Sure, I'll break out my super glassy moves lol *is terrible at dancing*
Can I buy you drinks?
Oh please do!
Do you attend parties?
I hope to!
Can I take your picture?
Of course!
What's your goal(s) for the con this year?
Make new friends, meet artists and fursuiters I have admired over the years, and have fun!

First day at the new job!
Posted 13 years agoWell I was called the other day and asked to start today, so I did just that! I already like this company more than the last one I was at. It's small, the entire staff is about 25 people strong, so it's much more personal. I still am doing medical assembly, but there is much more variety on the products we put out. Currently I am working in the clean room, but they let us have mp3 players in there as long as only the cord for the ear piece shows. Everyone seems very nice, though I am not sure where I fit in yet socially, as most of the staff speak Hmong and choose to talk among themselves, I'm not too sure where to give my input or joke around yet, but we'll see! They all bring lots of really good food to share at break times though! Lots of self grown veggies and fruits, very awesome.
Other awesome things are this job are they do not penalize you for taking a day off for being sick or being late by a minute. My last job, each and everything would be an "occurrence" and you could only have 6 (but really 5) occurrences before they would fire you. This place understands that we are humans, not machines, and that we do get sick or make mistakes, or that the bus can run late. I like that a lot about them. There is also never mandatory overtime, but you can take overtime any day you like. They just have it up for offer if anyone ever wants to stay late or come in on weekends. No pressure to do so or not.
In other news, I am happy to say that the Collie fursuit I had for sale is now SOLD! The awesome
wanted him, and honestly I think he is going to be a great performer for that character! The collie is also now named Chance, so look out for a partial of him to be posted soon, and then that pup will be bouncing around ZooBoo this year as well!
Hope everyone is well and thank you all for your encouragement and wonderful comments you've all left me through the good and the bad times. <3 You guys all rock.

What a week! Fursuit for Sale!
Posted 13 years agoAs you may have seen/read from my last few journals and submissions, I was laid off about a week and a half ago. During this time I decided to try and make up the lost wages (and all the new free time I had) by making a fursuit head with the intentions of selling it. And here it is, 11 days and he is all finished up!
So, I am taking offers on this guy for 1 week. If I do not get any acceptable offers by then I will be throwing him up on the Dealer Den. So if you're interested in him, please shoot me a note with an offer!
I can also make him into a partial very easy. I have all the materials needed for it, so just a few quick measurements and you're on your way to having a nice partial just in time for Halloween or MFF. I can even have him ready and shipped for anyone attending Furfright for an additional rush charge!
In other news, I am just waiting at the moment for a start date on my new assignment. It is another medical assembly job that is only 7 minutes away from my house, and just a 15 minute bus ride! I'm super excited, because my last assignment was about 40 minutes away and I needed to rely on too many people to help me get to and from. This way I can be much more independent and no longer a burden on those I care about. At this job, I will be packaging disposable one time use medical supplies. There are many different kinds there, but it's a very similar job to my last one. The one HUGE change for me though is that it will be first shift. So I will be working 6am-2pm Monday-Friday, rather than working 10pm-6am Sunday-Thursday. But, I'm sure in time it will be a welcomed change.
Anywhos, I hope everyone is well. If you're interested in the suit please send me an e-mail or a note! If you know someone who might be interested, please pass it on! Thanks a bunch for reading!

Life stuff and Collie fursuit for sale soon!
Posted 13 years agoWell I went in for my interview today for STI Surgical Technologies and I got the job. I'm excited because it's only 7 minutes from my house and only a 15 minute bus ride! It's also first shift, so I can go back to sleeping during the night, not that I completely minded third shift, but it will be better this way I think.
As for other things, I'm finishing up a tan and white collie fursuit head (WIP pictures in my Scraps of the early stages) For now it's just a head, but I'll be taking gauging interest and taking offers soon. I'll be willing to make it into a partial as well in time for Halloween or MFF(Free delivery at MFF! Also free delivery for MNFurs if they attend meets or want to pick up) So I will be posting that in the near future! A little about him: He is a tan and white collie/mix with perked and flopped over ear tips. The ear tips are black, Static jaw, toony eyes, sculpted teeth, and plastic large K9 toony nose by
Pictures will be up as soon as he is all finished.
One last thing, my friend
is in need of a bit of help to pay for college this upcoming year and is offering some very cheap written commissions. She'll write you a poem or a nice short story for only a few dollars. She also gives great help services on Furcadia. So check her out and show her some love!
I hope everyone has been well, as soon as get a new scanner there will be more artwork posted as well. Stay tuned!

End of Contract
Posted 13 years agoWell my contract at my job ended unexpectedly today (as it did for nearly all the other temps where I worked as well) they came and told us 10 minutes before our shift ended that it was our last night there. So no goodbye potluck, no having the time to get used to the idea...just a sudden rush of emotion that these last few moments were the last ones you would be doing your job, seeing the people you've known for a year, being in that building. I did not like the job or company much, but the people made it worth it. They were my friends. We laughed and joked and we made every day bearable to get through for each other. To give us only 10 minutes to say our goodbyes and leave for the last time was unfair and just an overall shitty thing to do. I cried, I felt corned with no where to go and I just cried in front of everyone, it was embarrassing even though I know they understood. They wont even let us finish off our work week. Ug. Anyways, that's what I am dealing with now. Life has been one thing after another and just when I think it will even out for a bit, something strikes again.
I know it will all be ok in the end, it always is...but I want it to be ok in the start and the middle for a while too. Guess I have even more time to work on fursuits now, so that's a plus.

Taking Time
Posted 13 years agoThings are taking their time settling back to normal here, but we are much more relaxed and safe feeling in our home. Thank you to everyone who sent us well wishes and wanted to help in any way they could, it was so much appreciated.
In other news, my time at the job I am at is coming close to an end in mid October. I'm not quitting or being fired or anything, my contract is just ending (it was a year long contract through a temp service) And though I will miss the friends I made while I was there, I am in no way going to miss working that job or dealing with the trainers we had. What a joke of a company that is, for real. But, I am happy to be taking a month off from work to work strictly on fursuits and art! I will be finishing up commissions and maybe working on a few suits to throw on auction or sell out right at MFF this year (finally going after 7 years not being able to make it!)
However, after a month I am set on going back to work, hopefully finding another good long contract job or a temp to hire closer to home.
In sad news, I was told my cousin took her own life the other day, leaving behind her three children and many people who loved her. I have not seen her since I was younger, but when I was young she was around often. She was a very sweet, wonderful woman and she will be missed. I may not have had the chance to talk with her for years, but I still do feel upset about it and wish the best for her family in this rough time.
That's about all I have for now. I hope that everyone else has been well and didn't go too crazy in the FA outage, I'm just glad it's back up. I needed another site up to constantly refresh every 10 min. XP

It gets easier.
Posted 13 years agoJust wanted to make a small update.
It has been 3 days since our home was broken into and our peace of mind violated. During the first day it just felt like nothing could ever be or feel the same again. I felt all hope was lost to feel safe or happy in my home. But as the days went on and I finally was able to get some decent sleep, the anxious feeling and dread shifted more to anger that people would do this to someone else.
We're still not 100%, it will take time to get there I know. But I am so thankful I have such wonderful friends in my life who help me get through all of this.
has been an amazing support. We have been working through this together, sleeping in shifts to keep each other feeling safe while the other sleeps. And comforting one another whenever we need it, even if it means waking the other up.
Friends like
who goes way out of his way to call, text, or IM to talk with me and make sure I am doing alright in this hard time. Everything he has done for not only myself, but countless others, it just absolutely amazing and in itself makes me feel like there is still some hope for humanity. That not everyone out there is bad and out to hurt you. He has truly been my angel in my times of need.
Friends like
who doesn't get angry at me when I call her at 2am to see if she wants to come over and hang out because I am lonely and afraid to leave the house. Who will listen to me ramble on and on about the same things that are bothering me without every complaining or acting like I annoy her. The patience and care that she shows me lifts my spirits back up. I'm so happy to have her as a part of my life.
And to everyone else who has sent me and my partner well wishes in this hard time, thank you so much. It means the world to us to see so many people who care about our well being. The monetary items that were taken from our home can be replaced, but our spirits need to be lifted back up from this mess and all of you are helping us get back to that point. It may take some time, but we will get there. Our house will feel like a home again, it will feel safe, it will feel fun, and it will be ours. These burglars, these lowlife scum, they will not win over us. What they did does not define who we are, and we will take back our home and our lives.
:: Also to add as a note
is selling this really amazing fursuit head/handpaws set for a very reasonable price (only $440!) He makes such wonderful quality fursuits and this guy definitely deserves a wonderful home http://www.furaffinity.net/view/8452648/ please check it out and pass it around. Whoever buys it, I'll do some art up for you to go with it! ::

Posted 13 years agoWas gone for a couple of hours today, the start of my vacation, came home after being gone for not even 3 hours and someone broke in. The stole lots of small electronics. They busted in our door really bad too. I don't know how someone could not have seen it, we live on a busy road. They hit the door with something very heavy as well.
We called the police, did a report. I found a cigarette they left behind, was lit only for a moment it seems. Police came back and took it and said they could do a dna test on it most likely. I feel so drained right now and so violated. It doesn't help I have been up almost 24 hours again trying to get my sleep schedule to daytime hours so we could have a good vacation and anniversary together. But now we've canceled all of our plans. Neither one of us want to leave the house, or eachother alone here. I really feel so broken.

Lake Superior Zoo needs your help!!!
Posted 13 years agoWith the flood this past week, Duluth's own Lake Superior Zoo has taken its toll in damages. The zoo has been flooded, animals have drown, and even their Polar Bear Berlin escaped her habitat (though was tranquilized and is now being housed at Como Zoo in Saint Paul, Minnesota for the time being)
If you live in the upper Minnesota area and would like to help out, they are looking for any volunteers to help clean up the mess left behind by the flood waters. They are also accepting donations to help them get back on their feet and fund this massive clean up project.
If you would like to donate, please visit the link below! Send me a note and I will draw you something up as a thank you for your donation! (wont be anything too huge, but a little thank you for your help!)

Update! And Birthday Soon!!!
Posted 14 years agoJust thought I would give a quick update so you all know I am not dead or anything =p
I apologize for not being on too often lately, I have been working a crazy amount of time (from January 28th - Feb 10th with only one day off that I thankfully got this weekend) And I work strange hours, 10pm-6am. So my online time is a lot less than it used to be as most of my free time is catching up on sleep and getting ready for more work.
Other than that, everything is going decently! We had some car issues, but we have the parts to fix it up again so I'm not too worried about that. Yeah things seem to finally be smoothing out a bit, which is nice because I am not sure how well I could handle working so much if my life was just all crap right now =p
In other news, my birthday is coming up on February 14th! I'll be 23 this year and I have no idea what to do for my birthday other than go out for sushi before work...maybe I'll find someone to commission as a birthday gift to myself, but we'll see. Also, Corecon will be coming up in May and I am so super excited to go! Not even really for the con itself, but to be able to hang out with
and hopefully
as well (( and
, of course)) ! I miss them all quite a bit so it is going to be fantastic to spend some time with all those awesome people once again, and hopefully get a good amount of fursuiting in there as well!
That's about it for now! I need to get ready to head out to work but I hope everyone has been well!

2011 Year End Meme
Posted 14 years agoWell since I have not posted in a while and everyone else seems to be doing it...and man am I a sucker for peer pressure =P here it is!
1. What did you do in 2011 that you'd never done before?
Went to Corecon, volenteered at Zooboo, and a few other things that don't seem as approproate to post here X3
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Ha...no. Well sort of. One of mine was to learn something new every day, which I have kept up on. However a diet plan always seems to fail me.
3. How will you be spending New Year's Eve?
Having a party at my home with the people I care most about.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
Not someone close to me, no. But someone who was close with many others I know, which effected me.
5. What countries did you visit?
None other than my homeland of USA. I didn't get out much this year.
6. What would you like to have in 2012 that you lacked in 2011?
More money, but I have a new job that helps with that. More fursuiting though, I want to get out and suit a lot more.
7. What date from 2011 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
There are too many to choose from really, it was a much different year for me than most. I just really can't choose one date.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Getting a decent paying job that I can actually feel proud of.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Either being let go from Caribou(though was a very good thing in the end) or moving out from my house.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Just a couple colds but nothing big other than bad heat exhaustion after ZooBoo.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
Sushi, always sushi.
12. Where did most of your money go?
..sushi. =P And booze for this weekend.
13. What song will always remind you of 2011?
"Party Rock Anthem" by LMFAO
14. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Fursuit, just was not enough of that this year.
15. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Procrastinate or worry about things so much.
16. What was your favorite TV program?
"The Walking Dead"...fallowed close by "Breaking Bad"
