SO... World of Warcraft fans, tell me about your characters! What/where/how/when do you play this lovely game?
I've had an active account for over six years now. Pathetic, I know... but I'm still waiting for another decent MMORPG to dethrone Blizzard's monster and don't have anything better to do with a limited budget. At the very least, it does inspire me to draw -- so look forward to more WoW fanart someday.
I prefer roleplaying servers because their communities tend to be more mature and collaborative fiction is insanely fun, although I delve into almost every aspect of this game: RP, raiding, dungeons, quests, achievements, exploration, PVP, etc.

Casey update!
Posted 15 years agoI've cross-posted this to LJ/FB but just thought I'd mention here that I found Casey tonight! He was about a mile away, past a busy road (probably why he got lost), followed some random dude who actually called the number on his tag to let me know where he was. He's rather skinny, but otherwise okay and was excited to see me again. He was missing for a whole month, too! I was so depressed because I thought something horrible happened to him. x_x What a resilient little creature.
YAY for cats! I'm ecstatic to have my friend back.

What's going on with me:
- Laid off my two-year online job a few months ago, and have failed to obtain gainful employment since. Everyone knows the competition is fierce; I tried to work at a pizza place for a few days but it was so bad (WAY too much stress for less than minimum wage when I wasn't delivering much, clueless manager and employees, nothing was set up properly, etc) I had to quit. I'm living off of my meager inheritance, which will be gone by next year. My dad struggles to make ends meet and can't really help either. I'll be hoping for a miracle by January. :V
- Against someone's better judgement, I decided to spend a big chunk of that inheritance on top surgery in September. It'll be great to ditch the binders but I'm kinda doubting it'll change anyone's perspective of me. I'll be out of commission for a few weeks and hopefully will be able to continue looking for a job after that. I haven't told my family and really don't want to (read: conservative mormon) but it'll be necessary if I want to change my name in the future.
- Sold my fursuit to a friend because I didn't wear it that much anymore and needed the cash. Sad to see Zurba go, but Ozx will do him justice. c:
- Moved to a different house in east San Jose with a couple of gay furry dudes. It's a nice house, and I've had worse roommates, but I'd much rather live in a cheaper place with friends who aren't ignorant about transpeople and vehemently opposed to 420. The internet connection is exceptionally awful and no one seems to care. (Also not cool with one of them being a RSO, mostly because they didn't tell anybody)
- Casey, my beloved cat of 8+ years, ran away on August 8th and has not returned. He's microchipped, but it doesn't look good; he only had a week to get used to this place, and I currently live next to a giant park (note the predatory residents). He probably would've wandered towards the wilderness, since busy roads block off most of the other routes. I've put up reward posters, visited animal shelters, wandered around calling his name, checked CraigsList, the whole deal. You know, I could live with all of these other problems but... this really broke me. He's my baby, and I may never see him again.
- My car (a 15-year-old Accord) was stolen a week later, not even 30 feet from my bedroom window; no record of towing, and barely worth $2k with so many miles, it was probably nabbed for spare parts. If it's ever recovered, I'll expect it to be in pieces. With the upcoming surgery, and lack of employment, I can't really afford another decent vehicle right now; and not having my own transportation puts me at a HUGE disadvantage for jobs since most prospects are 15+ minutes away by car.
- Still want to go to college, but can't afford that either. A loan that includes living expenses is just not realistic with my mediocre credit. It seems inevitable that I will be working in call centers for the rest of my life... if the economy improves, lol. Everyone with rich parents that pay for your education? Better enjoy that shit because you're incredibly fortunate. Burning Man and BlizzCon are pipe dreams at this point, and it pains me to miss yet another chance to have fun (which seems like an alien concept lately)
- Might be moving back to Wisconsin if I can't find something here, and then possibly to Arizona with the same friends. Cheap is cheap. Outlook is grim, however. I really don't want to leave California but this state is threatening to eat me alive.
No pity, I got myself into this mess (mostly). Have a chuckle over my ironic misfortune. Just pray that Casey is alright, at least? Even if he decided to take over some random feral colony in the woods, I gotta know what happened to him...
