💥UPDATE: Where i've been + Where i'm going
General | Posted a year agoHowdy hey everybody.. been a hot minute since you've seen me in ur inboxes, hasn't it?
First off, let me just apologize from the deepest depths of my heart about my sudden absence. It was never my intention to disappear on everybody so suddenly and become so incredibly hard to get a hold of ;; I'm still working on reaching out to commissioners individually, but figured i'd make this journal to let everyone know im still alive and kicking. :") To the best of my ability anyways..
A majority of my absence has been because of frequent hospitalizations over the last year + this one. I've basically been living at hospitals and rehab centers for what I thought was simply persistent symptoms from my anxiety disorders + daily stressors fuckin' with my internals, but it actually turned out to be from (unbeknownst to me prior to these hospitalizations) years of un-monitored Stage 2 Hypertension. And after multiple hypertensive episodes, they eventually developed into a series of mini strokes. While the strokes weren't horrendously serious in themselves, they were...consistent. I've had to spend MONTHS in rehab in order to regain proper hand-eye coordination to be able to even draw at the same caliber I was before all this nonsense started. Which is it's own special brand of infuriating tbh.
Admittedly, some of the silence has come from never experiencing health issues at this caliber before, and not knowing how to really handle it. It's frustrating. Embarrassing. Upsetting. I've been so out of my depth and trying to handle it. Everyday is learning a skill I previously had and at some point the agitation gets nauseating. But i'm trying. I'm trying so fucking hard because I actually love what I do and would like to keep doing it. Art means a lot to me, and being unable to do it consistently has been gut-wrenching. Which sounds dramatic and silly but...ya know..weeks in a hospital bed with no access to any of my personal shit and no support system or ability to create as an outlet will make me a lil weepy.
I just wanted to make my presence known again so ppl know i'm around these parts still. And to ask for everybody's continued patience and understanding with me while I try to rearrange my life (again) and accommodate for this lil setback. I genuinely have every intention to make up for lost time and owed work. Now that i'm home again (hopefully for good..if my body and blood don't betray me again) and have access to my computer and tablet full-time + reliable internet access, my replies should be faster and more consistent than the shitty wifi at the hospitals allowed.
SORRY FOR THE NOVEL AGHHHHH thank you for reading and for those sticking by me and for my wonderful commissioners for reaching out, being understanding, and allowing me the space to get back on track at my own pace 😭💖 I've never had a queue for this long before, and figuring out how to get back on the wagon is a struggle, but one im willing to take head-on now!!!! I've honestly been burnt-out and, while i would've preferred to NOT have this break in medical facilities with work still owed, I have to admit it's helped me iron out what I want out of being a freelance artist again. It's nice to have that perspective re-calibrated. I love being a commission artist. I love drawing for people. I love sharing my work. I wanna keep doing it (especially now that it truly is the best/only avenue for me income-wise). Being an artist is an important part of me, and now im feeling a bit more confident with where im going, and how im going to get there. Just need patience. And time.. wah..

I'm opening for a couple doodle commissions to help me cover getting to my upcoming appointments next week, as well as another prescription fill, so I thought it'd be fun to do something and celebrate Pride a lil bit with my fellow peeps 🌈💖 I'm aiming to keep these quick and loose, so I can get them done as either warmups or as lil breaks between my other queue work! c:

General | Posted 2 years agoBoy howdy, I hate how common this has been for me lately fhgsjfhfdg, but a quick update on what's been goin' on over here that's slowed me down quite a bit;
I just wanted to make this journal to let people know i'm still very much actively working on the queue despite the quiet, and I've been wanting to message everyone individually for updates on my current situation, but because of said situation I've had little time to myself and have had to rearrange my schedule to compensate for helping take care of my dad (he had a fall where we thought he broke his hip, was running back and forth between hospitals and rehabilitation visits, and I was helping mom with him for the time being). I've been passing out almost immediately once crawling into bed to get ready for the next day of running around. But now that he's back home (and we have in-home nurses coming by to check in on him), I can get back to my own space and back to work 💪🏽 i'm aiming to reply to people and have some wips ready to send out over the weekend! c:
Another big reason for the wait has been me deciding to go back and resketch some of the commissions I had already gotten started on before this whole mess happened. I'm kinda glad I was able to go back and rework some of these, because I feel more confident about how they're coming out and can't wait to show peeps! I'm also pondering a telegram channel specifically for updates and announcements for delays like this where people who commission me can join and be kept in the loop. It's easier for me to generally update everyone like this AT ONCE vs individually tbh. Telegram seems like something lots of people use still and would be good for something like this 🤔
But thank you guys so much for your patience and understanding ahhhg ;; Just figured i'd say something so y'all would know i'm still around and kickin'!

General | Posted 3 years agoI know January is almost over but I still feel compelled to make a post about it since things have changed quite a bit on my end and I wanna address them a lil just to sooth the rattling in my brain hahha.
Without going into too much detail, i've had a slew of massive irl issues slamming into me one after the other that has made working, socializing, and generally surviving harder and harder with each passing day. I'm basically stuck in a situation with no real immediate solution except to make big changes to my outlook and how I go about things from here on out. I don't have much experience with where i'm at right now, so i've been struggling with figuring out a balance for everything again. I'm sure people who have followed me for a while have noticed how much less active I am in most spaces these days, and commissioners probably absolutely noticed how much longer it takes me to get through a queue :"") I've been increasingly embarrassed at how it takes me 2-3 months to get through a small queue these days and am desperately working to change that. That's the main reason i'm planning on making YCHs (both big and small) a regular part of what I offer. They give me more wiggle room and they're a good way for me to experiment with different styles and stuff without feeling like i'm straying "too far" from "my brand" and blah blah. Which is something else im shedding myself of this year. I like sharing my art with people (in all it's forms) and relegating myself to treating myself like a company that has a Content Quota to meet has made my relationship with being seen as an artist....extremely...unsavory. lol. SO im working through that as well. Generally, I'm just trying to be easier on myself. Tired of being on that Grind™ and want to actually enjoy being someone people want to give money to so I can draw their characters for them. I want to put MORE of MYSELF into the art that I do. For others and myself. I've spent too much time trying to "keep up" with everyone else, even when the way they do things doesn't work out for me. Running a race I didn't even want to be a part of in the first place, if that makes sense fhgsdfg.
So, thank you. For everyone's patience. For supporting me through everything. It doesn't matter how much or how little. Through commissions or tipping or donating or whatever. I don't think i'll ever have enough way to express my gratitude of people who've supported me for years and continue to do so, and for all my friends who've stuck by me despite my massive gaps in communication and general being around and for being so understanding. Thank you guys for supporting me as a person and an artist while I figure out how to navigate this part of my life from now on. I'm dedicating 2023 to getting back on my feet and re-learning how to make all of this work again, but in a way that is more suited to me and benefits my mental health a bit more. I'm gonna go on a bit of an uploading spree of some stuff from the last 2 years i've had lying around. I'm also going to be opening for a batch of chibi commissions later around 7-8pm my time (MST) so if you're interested, keep an eye out around then!

I finally took the plunge and re-launched my Patreon! I've been talking about doing this for so long and have never done anything due to anxiety, lack of confidence, or just simply forgetting it was something I wanted to do LOL. But if you're interested in checking it out, head over to

Bit of a reminder, this Patreon is a casual thing. It's main purpose is to give me a chance to experiment more with my art and a place to put all of that experimental art, as well as house a variety of sketches and doodles I normally don't post here, or even twitter. I want it to be a place where I don't have to worry about having something "finished enough" to be deemed worthy to show to the public lmao. Also allows me to share hi-res files of everything I do, including wips and such!
Saying that, I must reiterate that I'm still doing commissions publicly, and that most likely won't change. Patreon comes second to this bc I still rely heavily on commissions to be able to afford bills and help w/ rent. I really want to offer things like Patreon-exclusive commissions in the future, where I can open for things that I usually wouldn't offer publicly and the like, as well as discounted things, but as of right now (until I get into the hang of this) those are limited time things, and aren't guaranteed each month unless I have the means to dedicate to that. I don't want Patreon to become a second job, if that makes sense. I don't wanna balance all my commission/freelance work with a heavy Patreon workload as well. So i'm taking things slow!
And because I know "paywalls" are such a sore spot for people in this fandom (for some reason lol), do know that finished pieces will be uploaded publicly eventually. On to the uploading schedule; i've decided that I'm going to try sticking myself to an upload schedule where i'll be uploading 2-3 times a week. This will help keep my galleries updated more consistently, as I have quite the backlog due to uploading to Patreon more consistently. General | Posted 6 years agoI know my presence here has been pretty non existent lmAO. My bad. That was never the intention. And I know it's been a while since i've opened for commissions over here as well. Also not my intention. I've been opening for small things on twitter, but I don't see why I couldn't be opening for them here as well. I'm gonna be changing that and hopefully going back to being able to open regularly on both sites to give people a fair chance, wherever they are active.
I've been getting Patreon all ready and will probably be launching it next month. That's the goal anyways. To preface this a bit, it won't impact regular postings of things like commissions and finished pieces at all. It's just an early access thing, and they'll be posted a few days to a week afterwards. I'm probably gonna keep sketches and doodles there a bit longer, if not, exclusively. They're things like what I post to twitter, but a lot of it is stuff I don't post normally anyways, so, no paywalling there.
There will be more info when I link it, if things go accordingly. I'm running it in a very unorthodox manner, and Patreon is a side thing that comes second to me freelancing like i've been doing. Commissions aren't being restricted,and I will continue to open publicly before anything else. It'a glorified tip jar kinda deal, focused mostly on posting rather than rewards. Things like that.
Think that's it. A lot has been happening on my end. I lost my cat the other month, which took a huge blow to my creativity and overall mental health. Being in a house without a pet is weird. I'm getting back on my feet though, and creating lately has been fun. I'm hoping i'll be able to do a whole lot more for you guys in the future. I had an emergency tooth extraction I had to get taken care of yesterday because one of my molars was absolutely killing me, and it got to a point where I couldn't close my mouth without feeling the sharp, immense pain ;; It went well though!! Kinda bummed I can't enjoy Thanksgiving leftovers for a few days, rip, BUT !!
I want to take commissions as soon as I can because my parents took out a loan to help pay for the cost of this and I feel terrible ;; I wanna help them pay that off as quickly as possible since our financial situation wasn't really prepared for this lol, so i'll most likely be taking a huge batch of commissions to cover that. However I might be a tad bit slow, because while I can sit at my computer and draw just fine, my pain medication paired with my antibiotics makes me super sluggish for a bit. I'm constantly lying down to snooze for a bit before I can get back up. I'm working on maybe scribbling some adopts to sell just so I can still make some money in the meantime.
BUT YEAH I had a tumultuous weekend lmao, but i'm so, so glad to have gotten this tooth out.

I still like the digital sketchbook kinda idea I had when I first thought about bringing it back, and am just curious if that'd be something I could do and people might be interested in??
I don't expect (and don't want) to use it as a means of replacing commissions. I'll still be relying on those to make most of my income throughout the month, and will still be opening for commissions publicly. This Patreon I guess is just a little...side thing? Also isn't going to be a complete paywall. I'll post everything in public eventually (minus unfinished doodles or just things I don't want to or don't have the time to finish). This excludes commissions though!! I'll post those (or commissioners can repost their pieces) regardless of whether I post them on Patreon or not.
I'm still thinking about tiers, if I should offer multiple or just make it a one price per month kinda thing. Given my mental health and also just current situation, I don't think I could offer tiers that guarantee custom art for people pledged each month ;; maybe once in a while or something very small and basic, but I'd feel bad offering this kinda stuff and not have the time/means to deliver in time. I might do a first dibs on YCHs kinda thing since I don't do adopts often. Still thinkin' on this!!
Perhaps when (if) I do this, i'll just see how it goes? If it gets enough interest I can add new tiers and try to offer more custom tailored works for people. I DUNNO. I'm rambling ahahhhh.

I have 5/7 worked on; 3 of those are lined, and i'll be lining 2 more today. Depending on how hard the jet-lag hits me, i'll try and get the last two sketched and lined today/tonight as well!
