Being ill sucks, so great start to 2015.
Posted 11 years agoPast few days I've been coughing and sniffling like mad, so that's a fun start to 2015. Of which a late Happy New years to everyone. And a thank you to the new watchers and faves I've been getting recently.
Seems the Starfox comic continues to grab some attention which is cool. As an update to that I have the next 4 pages sketched over the xmas holidays, just need to get them lined and shaded which hopefully I'll post in a month or so.
Other commission work is slowly getting there but still a fine balance between all the other stuff I have to work on so I appreciate everyone's patience with me.

If you haven't noticed I've pretty much had my head down working on other projects that meant I haven't really posted much stuff for like a month or so. While I don't think that will change much over the Christmas holidays in the background I hope to get some sketches done for my commissioners so at least there will be something. Maybe I'll even post them if they permit it.

Certainly made things quite annoying as I'm sure you'll agree. If you don't know I am on DeviantArt, Inkbunny and Tumblr. I'm on a few other sites but these 4 are my main places of contact.

Patreon Queries
Posted 11 years agoSo I've been seeing more and more artists using Patreon. From what I've gathered it's a way for fans to regularly donate to artists so they can continue to work on art or for specific projects. In return they get access to whatever the artist sets as tiers; like linearts, discounted commissions, etc etc.
Seems like a flexible way for both sides to help support an artist at the price they feel comfortable with but I'm viewing this as an outsider really. My only experience has been limited to some commission works, and I've no clue if I'm popular enough that ppl would like to donate to me so I can keep drawing.
So I'm just curious followers if you have had any experience with it and what you think about the service. If you actually use it yourself I'd be interested to hear how it works for you.
I would also be curious if ppl would participate if I used Patreon as well.

April Updates and current Commission Schedule
Posted 11 years agoFigured I'd do an update for myself and for all you watching me on various sites, I continue to be surprisingly busy with a lot of art. Right now it's a balance of Fallout Equestria, Panthera, and commissions to which I'm grateful for. And to the faves and watches I get across the galleries I'm on.
For Panthera fans you've probably already seen the first revision of Taylor since our hiatus. I plan to tweak the rest of the main cast, and hopefully the comic will look a bit more cleaner and less busy for the sake of it. i hope to work on Kira next, altho when is an open question. Nonetheless we still plan to come back around Summer so keep an eye out on any new updates.
In terms of commissions, I'm working on some. Here is the current list and order, but due to the size of each, they can come before or after.

Posted 12 years agoSo there's a lot of journals on their decision to leave or to stay due to this new controversy on FA's new project and their hiring of a popular artist for coding. I honestly only know about these things at the tail end as I don't know that many ppl also in the fur community. I'm not going to give my opinion on it as frankly I don't know the full picture even after reading both sides of it to judge if it was a good or bad decision.
All I know is FurAffinity will still be my main channel for adult and clean art that I create. Still, it's a helpful reminder to remind you all that I'm on other sites as well just in case anything happens.

Delayed first journal of 2014!

Didn't get any takers on the discounted commissions over December which is a bit disappointing but I'm currently working on a comic commission instead so it works out in the end. I'll have more information on that when we're closer to posting it online.
On a similar subject, requests are still closed for those asking. If I do open them again I will post it in a future journal but it'll probably be a while.

A similar idea everyone else seems to have if my upates say anything. Interesting to see a larger rise in people making Weasyl accounts however. Had one for a while but I get very little traffic there so I don't use it as much, not like I have plans to leave FA really.

So for this month its:
- Full Colour Shaded piece for £6.00 ($9.00)
- Flat Coloured piece for £4.00 ($6.53)
- Sketch for £2.00 ($3.20)
Extra characters cost 50p each. All can include a background at no extra cost.
They can be clean or mature, and I often do most mature requests except vore, scat and feral. Macro/Micro is a case by case business. Best way is to just ask me if I'd do a certain thing or not.
I only use PayPal.
No cap on slots as I don't know if this will gather attention or not but I hope all interested to have a look.

December updates
Posted 12 years agoFigured I'd update the journal on what's going on. With Trigger's piece complete I have finished all the BDSM Requests. Overall it was a fun excersise even if it did take much longer than I thought it would be. I had a few late requests but I never got a reply back sadly, so this line of requests is done for now.
When I do open them again I'm considering whether I should try my hand at more adult MLP stuff. I've been drawing ponies regularly via the Fallout: Equestria blog images so tha would be another way, not to mention something different.
I am of course open for commissions, altho I'm wondering if my prices are too high for my current skill set or that I'm not advertising myself enough. Not a high priority but it's a curiosity to me.

I'm willing to put in an additional 5 slots, but the waiting time will be much longer. Shading all of these takes much longer than just lining it and putting flat colours. So bare that in mind from now on.
So guess what? I am opening up requests. Again these are adult only, but to change it up has to be BDSM themed. The bonus? I will be doing these fully shaded, with background as well. So this would be a rare chance to get requests shaded completely from me. Change up the formula you know?

And also no, I haven't heard anything about Panthera these past few months either. While I still hope we'll sort out script wise and such, I think it's sad to say the story of Taylor and co continues to be on hold for a long while.

I've just been busy with managing stuff for Fallout Equestria. Any side art I do has been kind of pushed aside from time to time. Posted 12 years agoSo I have finally cleared the request backlog, and a fair number of ppl liking the results which is good.
When will I open requests again tho? Right now no, take a few days off doing requests all week. But we'll see over the coming week.
On another note, I'm curious about what my watchers think of my current pricing for commissions. Whether the prices are reasonable or not, or what would compel you enough to commission me. I'm still trying to figure out how other artists handle it or get people interested so all answers are welcome.
As for Panthera fans, sadly there is no new information on when we'll be back. If there is any information you'll hear it from me via journals or on Twitter.

I do apologise for that, being the new lead of the art team for this mod is a lot more busy then you'd think. It meant that I haven't been able to work on requests for a while now. My department is on a little bit of a lull from what I can tell so hopefully I can pump out these remaining requests over the next few weeks.
