The post reads as follows: The CA Assembly is fast-tracking A.B. 1709, a bill that would ban everyone under 16 from social media. This censorship scheme threatens your data privacy and ignores the First Amendment. Tell your representatives to vote NO on A.B. 1709.

Contct your congress for the following, also some news in AU
General | Posted 6 days agohttps://x.com/LundukeJournal/status.....880521781?s=20 in Illinoi am age verification bill has passed the house.
The post reads as follows:
==================================================================================================
The Illinois law (HB 5511) which would require Operating Systems to add Age Verification has passed the Illinois House of Representatives and is now moving to the State Senate.
The vote was 82 to 27 in favor of the law.
HB 5511 is sponsored entirely by a group of 11 Democrat Representatives (no Republicans), and was voted for by every Democrat in the Illinois House (as well as a small number of Republicans). All 27 law makers who voted “Nay” on this bill were Republicans.
This law was pitched specifically as a “Children’s Social Media” bill, but is heavily focused on all “Internet connected Operating Systems”
One unique part of this law, when compared to other “Operating Systems Age Verification” laws, is that it provides an exemption to some of the age requirements… if the Operating Systems provides a paid “Family Account Platform”.
The idea is that a parent could create an umbrella “Family” account which would then treat all sub-members of that account (including kids) as having the same age as the parent who created the account. For example: the OS would report that a 7 year old is really 37 (or whatever age the parent is).
But this is *only* allowed when such a “Family Account Platform” is a paid feature. It cannot be free.
In other words: Age verification for your kids, on all computers, unless you pay. Then your kids are the same age as you.
Peculiar.
The bill is now waiting to be picked up by a Senate committee. This is not likely to happen before April 28th, when the Illinois Senate is back in session.
=============================================================================================================================================================
DO NOT and I repeat, DO NOT let this bill get any further, call your state senators and tell them to vote NO against the bill.

AUSTRAILIA: Under 16 ban does not help kids, at all, no shock.

The post reads as follows:
Australia’s social media ban for minors isn’t working: 61% of kids still access accounts, while 4.7M were shut down. Meanwhile, 27% moved to riskier platforms. The ban isn't helping kids— it is harming them. Parents, not the government, are better suited to manage kids’ online use, says Cato's

THE EU IS PUSHING TWO TECHNOCRATIC CONTROL TOOLS AT ONCE:

⚠️ Chat Control (YES, AGAIN)
Both sold as ‘protecting children’
Both requiring more surveillance, less privacy, less freedom.
We’ve seen this playbook before. Temporary measures means permanent

WARNING: KIDS Act package being voted on Thursday.
General | Posted a week agohttps://x.com/juliecbarrett/status/.....816186605?s=20
THE POST SAYS THE FOLLOWING:
=======================================================================================================================================================================
DIGITAL ID ALERT: The website posted on Dr Phil's account claims Congress will be voting on the KIDS Act on Thursday - assuming that would be this week. The KIDS Act - HR 7757 - was marked up in the House Energy & Commerce Committee last month.
The KIDS Act contains several other policies in one large bill. It was marked up in the same meeting as the App Store Accountability Act - which also may be getting a vote Thursday.
A ton of age verification across the digital landscape and behavioral monitoring of minors online. These are NOT child protection, they are de facto Digital ID bills.
Here's my full Substack from March on the KIDS Act: https://conservativeladiesofamerica.....congress-moves
=======================================================================================================================================================================
FIND YOUR CONGRESSMEN: Use this page to find your state rep and senator in congress.
https://www.congress.gov/members/find-your-member
Once you do, call these numbers for the respective branch, and state the name of your senator/rep, and it should take you to them. Tell them to vote NO on HR7757, leave a message if it says to do so, email, them, however you need to, we gotta make sure these things DOES NOT leave here, these bills HAVE.TO.DIE!
Do not panic and do not be afraid.
HOUSE REPS:
(202) 224-3121
SENATORS:
(202) 224-3121.
Also remember; midterms are this year so if anyone votes or actually tries to pass this bill, check their names and make sure you vote them out. My response to add to this as well is to check and see if you have at minimum a slightly less horrid polticion who won't try to screw with your freedom and privacy online.
We have to show there's political and career ending consequences when you take away freedoms, it happend before, it will happen again.
Please spread the word out.

Tell your congress to start reforming sexton 702
General | Posted 2 weeks agohttps://act.eff.org/action/congress.....-drop-the-ball
an excript from the eff:
There are no excuses for any Member of Congress to support a clean reauthorization of Section 702. Anyone who votes to do so does not take your privacy seriously. Full stop.
Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) is among the United States’ most infamous mass surveillance programs. Sold to the public as a foreign surveillance tool, it has become a backdoor for law enforcement to search through Americans’ private communications without ever obtaining a warrant. We need to act now to prevent Congress from reauthorizing 702 in a way that ignores the truth: This authority needs to change.
House Speaker Mike Johnson has confirmed that “the plan is to move a clean extension of FISA… for at least 18 months.” Our demands are common sense: no renewal without real reforms. A simple extension is a betrayal of every US resident who expects their government to respect their rights and the Constitution.
Your representative needs to hear from you right now, before the April 20 deadline. Contact them today.
Tell them: No vote on any bills that would reauthorize Section 702 without meaningful reform.
So yeah we need to make sure this gets nipped in the bud, while I'm iffy about section230 being removed or changed in away that kills free speech online, reforming this is something I can get behind.
We have 10 days left to get congress to do something right for once.

WV to require age verification Bill is on the books
General | Posted 2 weeks agohttps://x.com/juliecbarrett/status/.....600856685?s=20
The post reads as follows:
🚨West Viriginia passed HB 4412 - to "require certain websites to utilize age verification methods to prevent minors from accessing content"
This is yet another Digital ID bill - and while you might think "great, kids shouldn't see that stuff" (and I would agree), the method for "protecting kids" has huge red flags and as is often the case with laws...they expand as government seeks more control.
WV's bill has a massive expansion of what counts as "reasonable" verification - "transaction data" allows verification using public or private transactional data such as mortgage, education, or employment records.
There's NO prohibition on using sensitive life-history data to infer age, no requirement for the data to be accurate, minimal or proportionate. 🧵
If this bill hasn't become law yet, you need to contact your congress in WV, if it has, contact your govnor or petiition this things removal, it obviously won't help kids, and we damn well know they don't do jackshit about keeping people's IDs secure.

YOU control their access to devices and WiFi. YOU are not required to allow your child access to social media.
If you do choose to do that, YOU have tools available to control app downloads, websites they can access, screen time, content restrictions, and much more.
The biggest question you should be asking: WHY does the government want you to feel powerless? WHY do they want you to look to them to protect your children?
Spoiler: the data they will collect from your children, you, and every other citizen, is so valuable to Big Tech and the government, they need you to believe their lies.

He's lookin' to pass something called the "Children's Social Media Safety Act." Call your reps/senators of the state and tell them to fight against it, as there's other ways kids can be safe online without destroying freedom.
I also reccomand getting him out of office the next chance you get. We don't need people who are tone deaf and only care about control rather than freedom.

Ohio, call your reps Also some Good news:
General | Posted 4 weeks agoOhio, there's a 2nd attempt at taking away your ability to use the internet without giving up your ID: https://x.com/p9cker_girl/status/20.....27800714322269
the post goes as follows:
BREAKING: Ohio Lawmakers Launch Second Attempt At Age ID Verification Law
>House Bill 84 aka The Innocence Act: requires any company that “sells, delivers, furnishes, disseminates, provides, exhibits, or presents any material or performance that is obscene or harmful to juveniles on the internet” to deploy age verification.
>To access legal content as an adult, users must submit identity documents, biometric data, or other credentials to platforms or third-party verification services.
>That data then exists somewhere, held by someone, subject to breach, subpoena, and uses that weren’t disclosed at the point of collection.
KANSAS 'NUKES' Accountability act: https://x.com/brian_lenney/status/2.....698891559?s=20
https://x.com/brian_lenney/status/2.....891559/photo/1 The house of Reps in Kansas blocked the bill.
For some reason, the Senate always seems like the most evil of the 2 legislative branches, and I'm not even talking about just the federal ones.
ALSO:
Subscribestar has introduced alternative methods of payment so that artists can continue to go about their lives and create without VISA and MC breathing down their necks:
https://x.com/ChibiReviews/status/2.....579674381?s=20
THE POST SATES: We won against Censorship today! SubscribeStar has told Payment Processors to fuck off and decided to add more forms of payments to go around them. This means loli, furry, and other forms of "icky" fiction will be allowed to be uncensored.
I hope other companies do the same. The fight isn't over, and we need to keep on our toes. So don't go thinking the war's over.

Blackburn's 'AI bill' is full of shit -
General | Posted 4 weeks agoAs far as I am aware this thing is in the drafting stage or at least it's not introduced into congress yet, but clearly the irony of this thing is wild.
https://x.com/ReclaimTheNetHQ/statu.....373616647?s=20 RECLAIM's statement are as follows:
Blackburn's bill repeals Section 230. All of it. After that, platforms can get sued for anything "harmful" they host. The rational response for every platform is to quietly remove anything that might attract a lawsuit.
The bill also requires age verification to access AI chatbots. Age verification means identity verification...
https://reclaimthenet.org/trump-ame.....e-verification
=======================================================================================
The irony and insanity of this;
Blackburn calls it the TRUMP AMERICA AI Act. This bill has the methods to replace secrion 230 and other BS.
I've herd the argument that censorship was the reason behind it, but here's the problem with this logic; removing of section 230 will make it even EASIER to censor people; someone speaks an opinion or truth, someone threatens that platform with a lawsuit so the platform has to quietly remove it.
THe irony; the platforms removed and censored at the behest of the previous administration which is UNCONSTITUTIONAL by the way sense they would still be forcing their hands to censor.
https://www.thedesertreview.com/opi.....f945fc897.html
http://judiciary.house.gov/media/pr.....utube-accounts
http://judiciary.house.gov/media/pr.....ime-new-report
So no the solution here isn't the repeal section 230; it should be to provide HARSHER punishments to gov officials who violate the constitution even through third parties.
Call your senators and other members of congress and explain that this will help NO ONE!
;
Phone: Call the U.S. Capitol switchboard at (202) 224-3121 to be transferred to their office.
Email: Most members have a contact form on their official website (e.g., simon.house.gov/contact/email-me).
Mail: Send letters to their Washington, DC office, though note that mail undergoes screening and may be delayed. Local district offices may respond faster.
Social Media: Many members are active on platforms like X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, and Instagram—verify their official accounts (check for the blue checkmark).

the title lists as follows:
🚨America's newest Digital ID proposal just dropped in the US Senate.
︀︀
︀︀Republican Senator Marsha Blackburn has introduced a new AI bill that bundles 17 different policies into one massive, 291 page bill.
︀︀
︀︀This is just like all these other tech bills we've been seeing - a massive Digital ID framework - with universal age verification being the key to access to the tools.
︀︀
︀︀The bill includes mandatory age verification for every existing account and freezing accounts until users verify their age.
Remember we need to vote out any senator or rep who's pushing this crap on everyone.

THIS DOESN'T EXCUSE ALL THE OTHERS PUSHING THIS CRAP ON EVERYONE! I'm sure they have some nefarious schemes still rolling around in those gnoggins

The post reads as follows:
https://fixupx.com/netchoice/status/2032154609675092121?s=46&t=jGb8iQGnZpjCwZDxOwkMuw
Court Rules Against California’s Trojan Horse for Censorship for FOURTH Time
PASADENA, Calif.—Today, NetChoice secured a major victory from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, which agreed that a majority of California’s Online Speech Code was unconstitutional.
Of the six substantive provisions NetChoice challenged, five remain enjoined after today’s decision, and the remaining provision is hanging by a thread.
NetChoice will continue to vociferously make our case that the entire law, which is a Trojan Horse for mass digital censorship in America, is unconstitutional and must be stopped.
“Today’s decision is a huge victory for free speech and essentially a death knell for California’s online speech code. California cannot mandate vague and onerous changes to how speech is disseminated online. The Ninth Circuit was clear: on the substance, NetChoice is likely to prevail,” said
paultaske
, Co-Director of the NetChoice Litigation Center.
Taske continued: “This law is hanging on by a thread. To the extent there is some additional work to do in the district court, we look forward to making a full showing and striking down California’s Speech Code permanently.”
;
I will say that it isn't just Federal elections that matter, your local ones too, always pay attention as those can affect you more directly.
In any instance I'll leave that there.

the kosa bill has made it out of the E&C set up.

The post reads: The KIDS Act, including KOSA, passes the House E&C Committee and will be sent to the floor. The vote was 28-24. Onto the next bill
SO this thing basically got out by roughly 50/50 meaning it was pretty damn split.
It will be brought to vote soon on the house, just a reminder to keep calling your reps. We cannot allow these bills to pass the house!
202-224-3121 <---You can speak the name of your chosen HOUSE rep and it will take you to them.

Wyoming; call your senators to support the GRANITE act
General | Posted a month agoTHe GRANITE act has made it through Wyoming's representatives, it almost died in committee for the Senate but has been reintroduced into another committee
https://prestonbyrne.com/2025/10/18.....reign-censors/ <---this is the bill
THe GRANITE act is an anti-foreign censorship bill, even though we damn well are a sovereign country and shouldn't adhere to foreign entities especially to what applies law here in the US ya know how that is. But yeah, your state will actually be a legit and cool one to pass those. Best of luck to you to in West Virginia and New Hampshire as well.
Granted there's still the threat of KOSA in the federal side of things, and I've heard the House version will be voted on this week if ya haven't keep calling to for opposition of KOSA and all other bad bills.
Anyway wanted to give mostly some good news. Hvae a great day everyone.

I want to clarify something about the KOSA Bill(s)
General | Posted 2 months agoTheir are TWO versions one in the House, one in the Senate they're only just now starting to move towards voting them soon. THey have no passed their respective houses yet so you all got time to call and do something about this thing.
I am aware that people are feeling like congress doesn't fear any of their constituents but the thing is again; it's the midterms you have a chance in November to actually punish these people for pushing shitty laws on everyone, but it ONLY works if you actually follow through with it.
Gov'ts in the US and most of western world (what's left of it) the Politicians are servants, NOT monarchs. If you don't like what a politicons is doing, you can fire them. Same with anyone else ffs we do it every 4 years with the federal election and we again have mid terms for both House and Senate.
You just gotta figure out which ones represent your state look and see if they voted for a shitty bill, and then BAM keep that in mind, spread the word let others who are like minded about freedom know and work to at least make sure they don't ever get back in office again, and then of course explain to them WHY they lost their seat.
I ama ware there are people out there who feel defeated, bummed out, and don't think there's nothing that can be done, but that mind set is also why people don't vote and we get shitty people in office. If you do nothing you will get nothing (but bad shit.)
How much do you give a fuck about something that you're not willing to fight for it?
When some people call they tell me their senators either get a message left or they talk to you personally and say some stuff; you have to explain your argument because we've had LOTs of examples recently of what shit like KOSA, age verification, and other bad internet bills have done.
You want to stop having to worry day in and day out about not being able to express yourself? in a country that should be 'Land of the Free?' Fire the people that seem to not get that part.
202-224-3121 <
I suggest you look up your senator and representatives before you call that number of course.
ONE LAST THING:
Federal elections are not the only thing to keep in mind; state and local elections are just as important if not more so, those age verification bills wouldn't be getting as far as they have if people weren't paying attention, most people seem to forget that.
Personally I hate politics but now hate the fact that I have to get more poltically active because I just wanna have the right to have a fuckin' opinion online, and even be able to do the things I love doing.
