I watch cartoons - TELL ME I'M NOT ALONE
Posted 12 years agoYesterday I watched The Emperor's New Groove and Cats Don't Dance, which I've seen a bunch of times over the years; then I watched Bambi II, which I'm not even sure I was aware it existed. My general attitude toward Disney straight-to-video sequels is that they MUST be crappy, lacking the original animators, directors, and voice actors. And, some of them are truly awful. But the second Bambi... maybe I've become more open-minded, but I really enjoyed it! :D The animation is decent, and while the voices felt... odd, it is realllllly cute, and I enjoyed the awkward father/lonely son aspect of the story.
I've also recently watched Chicken Run and both Goofy Movies. I used to LOVE the first Goofy movie, but as I watched it with my 7-year-old stepdaughter, I could see that MAYBE it was a little inappropriate in places. I mean, there's a dancing corpse in one scene, and in another Max nearly says, "My life is a living hell." XD Oh, the things we were allowed to watch as kids (ie, Ren & Stimpy, Rocko's Modern Life, etc) would never really fly for kids these days. Disney doesn't have ANY good shows anymore, and the other networks hang on to a couple good shows, but sometimes I just don't know.
Ed, Edd, 'n' Eddy was on the air for ELEVEN years. I may have to go back and watch every episode.
I'm glad my fiance doesn't leave me for being a huge nerd.

Due to tight finances, I am taking commissions. $10 sketch, $15 for an inked sketch, and $20 for full color. Tell your friends! You can either note me here, or if you have a dA account, watch and note me there (I'm likely to read it sooner there). Paypal is accepted. Please folks! I am practically desperate without admitting as much =D Plus I don't think my art's that bad...
If you're a fan of my Hazards of Smoking comic, it is a good example of commission work from me (I pour my heart and soul and fingers into these things!)
Anyway, thank you for taking the time to read this.
