My dad had his second cancer surgery, which requires me to be there helping during the recovery time; Again, I've been somewhat unappreciated despite doing the right thing for them (the stubborn old fool doesn't want his thing any other ways, but life only gives you ugly lemons) ... he will be getting into radioactive iodide-treatment later as well - So hopefully we are half-way of this journey with a good ending in sight

This obviously has limited my time on picture taking.
So I thank everyone for your patience and appreciation. It's been delightful joy reading and answering comments, same with seeing my pics favorited by old and new watchers

Little life update,

My dad's back home after thyroid cancer operation, and he's been recovering well

Despite us waiting info if/when he needs another surgery - we got a scare since the operation had to be stopped in fear of complications. There was a risk that his vocal chords might have been damage, but luckily this was not the case. However, surgeon left other side of throat untouched, which is why he might need another operation in near future

The recover time's been tough to all of us - Although the surgery only took three days (previous day prep, morning operation and recovery + vocal chords inspection), worst part has been with making hyperactive retiree stay resting; thou funny in some sense, also exhausting to deal with personally

Basically past week I've been helping out with the folks on their house work and groceries, plus keep telling my dad not to handle heavy fire wood carrying, the stubborn mule -.-'

Well, it's a good sign he's recovering at least. My mother also has rheumatism that slowing her down so it's been up to me and my two sibling's family to support them

Despite the extra work and time doing that, you've seen that this hasn't stopped me being creative in between

Having a tough times coming soon as my Dad has a thyroid cancer, and is getting into hospital today to be prepped for surgery - and I'll need to be helping out my Mother as well since Dad is still recovering

Luckily the predictions are good, so are hoping the best.
Still it's keeping me on my toes. It's going to be hard for coming days, It's going to be hard for me to relax

Maybe this give me time to sort out my photos - well, anyways...

Both mental and physical health had been swaying side-to-side all while dealing with family health issues

Now things are looking better with doing my job part-time and fully paid (work well-being negotiations + government support). With perfect timing since my mother returns home after being in hospital for 2 months - The free time I get from work I need to use arranging meetings and running errands for my parents once in a while. My job's 60% work load really does help by giving much needed time to relax and charge my mental batteries.

I've been slowly getting into creative things, especially in VR screenshots that I've posted in my socials

Dealing with some personal irl issues; badly ill old mother, who's been in hospital since December might be released + taking care of my practically mute father's things as well, and hitting wall from work stress

Just putting this out here, if I seem to be taking a extra long break or being unresponsive

ugh, where do I start with my life....?

It's been a emotional roller coaster for better and much worse, but briefly;
- I visited MFF, along part my very first furcon and USA trip (both good and bad)
- We broke up with my partner. Still close friends, but apparently there was no future for us...
- Feeling that I've been breaking apart from some friends while gained few close ones

- Work has been ranking up immensely and wearing me down
- Mother was taken to hospital and been there due to high fever & rheumatism related issues last weekend
- Father has been having mental issues & his back is braking on him. I've been needed to visit their home to sort out his businesses, thus taken away my free time to relax and decompress my stress

-Mother is returning to home by Christmas, so holiday eve and day are going to be highly stressful because social obligations and family issues....

To the few friends who are interested, I wish you have a better holidays and merry Christmas - I'll be better once all the fuzz dies down... take care peeps

I'm ALIVE!

My new day job & life in general has kept me busy atm - lot of stuff has been going on, but one major thing atm is that I have stable day job. As cleaner - nothing special, I enjoy the "light" work and it's a solid monthly salary - I would like to keep this job to gather some savings.

The pay is really good; 1 800 €/mo and my rent is 600€. Thus I'm going to be able really earn AND spend little for art commissions. What you know? You CAN have your cake and eat it - hahahah
(*knock on wood I'll keep the job and nothing happens*)

Although the job keeps me busy, I still try to work on my own stuff once I get more use to working schedule. The job isn't too tiring most days - I do try to get into my creative stuff again once in a while.

There's couple of stories and small art projects I'm working on my other account, while I keep Jespe's account more SFW-casual as usual....

Speaking of art projects - Does anyone know good websited to host photo galleries?

My problem with Furaffinity has been, that I'll have to write down all the details and metadata with every individual picture - while I would like to make a general folder with the general descriptions without spending too much time with the tedious part of the uploading them here.

I've been looking for general websites, maybe even payed domains like HostGator (heh, I like the scaly mascot there), Bluehost, WordPress, or even SquareSpace

With my new job and pay I should be able to pay for the paid websited for a photo gallery. Atm outside website would only host irl-photographs and nothing else.

I would still best the best pictures in FA with links to the large gallery - just trying to display my hundreds and thousands of pictures (yes, 6 thousand so far - man, I really should try to delete some of it)

So - If anyone has experience or recommendations, I would gladly hear it :)

A quick update:
I got a day job to pay the bills

For few days it's been going well and customers seem fine, but I'm having problems with the management trying to push excessive amount of work on me. Already putting my foot down to focus on doing a good job.

It would be great to hold this job end of May. Will see what's going to happen.

For those who haven't followed old journals in my other account; I'm not in the best financially situation

At least I'm still alive, debt free (so far), but still looking for more stable job to cover my bills without using my savings.

I'm been managing alright. I just haven't been able to get any better jobs with more hours than what I have now. Top of that I have to pay my government back 600€ re-claim on benefits (I forgot to report my changed income, but still it's very tough and unfair bill) which I need to pay in small parts.

I have plans moving to a cheaper apartment end of July, if my situation continues the same. Earning little bit from a official and unofficial work gigs I'm having:

One of my side work is writing a story commission. I'm not revealing any details other than I started working on it. My writing is fully focused on that - Since it IS a paid commission that I'm very happy to work on. We have to see how this turns out before I take any more writing requests. However, writing is just side work right now.

I still little spare to make small commissions to artists in more dire need, and practicing my own drawing so there's little activity on my pages.

There's a small update on few changes in my life that have been affecting my creative output

Short on money - I've been working on a part-time job with various gigs. It's been zero hour job and there hasn't been enough hours to maintain this work. So I'm looking for a new opportunities. However, having money saved I'm not stressing too much - still all of that had meant that I haven't been able to commission art like I did last year (but still few orders here and there).

ADHD diagnosis and getting medication - My road to getting diagnosis has been extremely long and tedious, but I finally got medication for my ADHD. I've heavily suspected that I had it, and been wanting to try medication. They have been helpful for getting things done in my worst days - instead of dwelling on the edge of getting things started and done, and procrastinating. There's been side-effects like heart palpitation, as well as getting tired and depressed on the next day without meds. I'm not taking them everyday, but my body is still adjusting on them.

All of that above are getting more manageable so I can work on my creative output more.

AI-using scammer tried to sell me $120 commission art, that uses stolen pieces as their bases

I gathered as much information from the scammers before blocking them
& reported all the details of them to Furaffinity, Furry Nexus -discord server, and PayPal on bases of Fraud

Longer version of the story:

6 days ago I was noted on FA by the scammer “Lyla” with an offering to make xmas art of Kadjá & Rova, my characters. "Lyla's" account gallery was empty, also the note writing was weirdly off already, but I accepted the offer out of curiosity. Quickly in our discord conversation I see that the art is AI produced from the awkward body/item positions, hovering elements and weird alignment of backgrounds.

Going back to check "Lyla’s" page again I notice in the shouts a comment to journal warning about the scam – Ssssoooo - I decided to gather intel and find out as much as possible from the scammers before blocking them.

During our discussions I found other “associates” with the exact art and without her credits or mentions of her. I noted the “Freyaisartisic” about missing credits on the art, but "she" seemed to be part of the scheme after all. I am posted with new art examples that are Favorited in “Lyla’s” account – done by new account of “Seren” unsuprisingly, but by the time of writing this journal this account has been suspended.

This point I was luring the scammer to give her paypal details – I consider this a type of fraud, therefore I reported this to paypal as well. Nevertheless, using non-paypal associated email I managed to get a copy of their invoice containing their supposed address and dummy company. I hope paypal can trace their personal detail with the account and use it to shut them down financially.

With invoice details in my hands and my real paypal email save - I bocked the scammer, and their other accounts on my discord and FA

All my details, screenshots and invoice copy were sent to Furaffinity, Furry Nexus -discord server, and PayPal on bases of Fraud

You might have seen the Furaffinity made their news update about Scammers and their tactics

What a happy coincident :)

In truth - I firstly reported on Furry Nexus-discord server days before the news post, my report to FA's official ticket system is timed roughly the same time as the news update. I can't take all the credit & one of the Footpad's commentators or any other scam victim might as well been reporting before me. Regardless -

Still I do feel satisfied having been there to kick the ball in right direction - fighting against the scammers.

Be wary of direct notes & messages asking to do art commissions way before you have ever seen or contacted them yourself

Do not trust sellers with empty galleries
Block & to say "NO" whenever you have to
Be vigilant, be safe

Let's keep AI -using scammers out of this website
