made this due to what's going on with fa's rules and the artists i follow mainly going there. honestly i prefer inkbunny as an alternative but since this is where they're all going i'll have to follow suit. now i haven't posted anything there since i just made the account. now i'm only going to use the account to post art. i already have a strong distaste for social media in general so im going to keep myself distant from it in a way if you get what i mean. but yeah give me a follow there if you want or not. up to you there lol

so recently been having a brain rot when it comes to my favorite aesthetics. hence the journal beforehand asking what your favorites are. so i though "hey! why not make my desk setup have a bit of that y2k/frutiger aero thing going (all while keeping it sonic and sly cooper themed)?" and got to searching up stuff.
and.
the first thing i came by was the hyte keeb tkl. it's absolutely what i am looking for! it's rgb. it's got mechanical keys. and it has this clear round outer shell that diffuses all the rgb-ness. it's absolutely as aero as you can get with a modern keyboard. i want it for my bday next month! even get a set of custom key caps for it and stuff! (here's hoping)
so after finding this thing i found a gel wrist rest for keyboard and mouse that again just nails the aero vibe! but... after that the good findings just stopped. like dead in the tracks stopped. and everything else i found was just the same old "gamer" designs where everything is flat, boxy and triangular, pointy, jagged, sharp, transformers looking stuff.
like all the other pc peripherals i could find still stick to this look. like cases are still flat rectangular boxes. gaming mice look like they can stab your fingers if you so much as look at them wrong. and yes i know there are more plain looking gaming mice out there but they aren't what im looking for. (i do know about the water mice out there but i don't know what dpi it is and stuff. so that's up in the air) and even monitors too. like pc's parts and peripherals have been stuck in this style for way too long. or at least to me it has. i just want to see more rounded or dynamic looking stuff out there. it just feels so hard to find these days cuz all the manufacturers want everything to look the same. like i remember seeing a old samsung tv that had a clear curved shell around the bezel that was like made of glass. (could be wrong there) and it blew my mind on how nice it looked. there was even a couple mac monitors like that too. but i never seen any other tv's or monitors that looked like that. or how most pc cases are still very square these days. like i would die to have a modern pc case that looks just like the power mac g4 case. i still want that case to build a pc in but it's a very tiny case (micro atx) and requires heavy modding to be useful nowadays. or hell i'd love to get my hands on one of the old alienware cases. the ones that are basically the alien head and are y2k as fuck! like a modern version of those would be sick! i mean yeah alienware still makes unique case designs thankfully but man that last one they made is a bit on the ugly side.

sometimes it's just nostalgia that makes me think of it. but most of the time it's just how it all looks compared to stuff now and it makes me wonder and think. like, these two aesthetics make me feel comfortable, inspired, hopeful, creative. it makes me want to strive towards something better. i know it sounds weird but it's how i feel when it comes to this stuff.

so after getting the wendy print done successfully, im feeling a lot more confident in 3d printing again! even learned how to cut models so that i can print them in parts. my main goal is to make large statues and dioramas that can rival the likes of first4figures and such but keep it affordable y'know! but im not just going to make figures with characters i like. nah not like that. i want to make stuff that you all would want to buy! so what kind of prints would you like to see available?
like for example my next print idea being like a heavy bottom amy rose or something like that!
im ready to take some notes here!

weird issue with blender
Posted a year agofor some reason why i can't import fbx files :/
like ever since version 4.0 blender just refuses to import any fbx files. which a lot of models ripped from games come in that format. so to workaround this issue i have to go back to either 3.9 or 4.0. import the fbx file. then make a save file of it. then go back to 4.2 and then append the contents of the save file into my current project. like why does this keep happening? why hasn't this been fixed yet. like for real i've tried several different fbx import addons for 4.2 and none of them worked either. maybe the python scripts just got all jumbled or something. i dunno. just a weird problem to begin with

Posted a year agoI'm finally leaving my job and will be out on the 2nd! I got another job lined up but it'll be another month or so before I start out there. But good lord am I just beyond relieved that I'm finally quitting this stupid ass job after 7 years! No more being people's scapegoat. No more getting yelled at and being singled out and targeted. I can finally exhale and relax for once! Like for real after leaving the managers office my legs felt like jello from the sheer amount of stress just leaving my body.
Just gotta out up with this shit for two more weeks. In the meantime I'll be hunkering down on coms and stuff! Cuz I really need to get those done and out so I can open up more slots!

dealing with bad dehydration
Posted a year agosorry i've slowed down a lot lately. life is ramping up the bs again and im just trying to survive.
just learned that im severely dehydrated and need rest and lots of fluids to recover. my god being dehydrated sucks. the exhaustion and the near constant nausea makes it so hard to do stuff... all of this while also trying to find a new job cuz im planning on quitting my current one by like next week cuz im just done and not putting up with that abuse anymore.

im no longer waiting any longer than a day of being dm'd for a com. i've had several commission attempts where either the person had to take over a week to respond or just stopped responding overall. this is no longer happening. you want to commission me? then make sure you have everything ready from the get go. the only time im willing to wait for longer than a day is when im pulled away to deal with life stuff.
but here's the new rule.
