Maybe waaaaay down the line, because I'm about to have car payments for the first time in five years.

On Friday, March 21st, on my way home from work, I was involved in a five-car pileup in the Vista Ridge Tunnel. I managed not to hit the driver ahead of me until I got rear-ended. Fast forward: my car was totaled, despite basically only losing its bumper. I didn't notice a difference in its handling at all. It's going to take me a long time to get over losing that lil guy. Over nine years and 70k miles later, Ninja went to the big salvage auction in the sky. 😭😭😭

Anyone remember that junkyard scene from The Brave Little Toaster? ;__;

I've spent the last week or so Lyfting to work and my GAWD, it's a money-suck: $80 daily vs $10 daily driving myself to work (about 25 minutes from home). This past Friday, I FINALLY received my insurance payout release documents and should get my money on Monday or Tuesday. Then it's time to shop for a new car.

I've researched several, and my associate at CarMax is helping me with suggestions. I'm looking at used hybrids. If I'm being forced to replace my car, I might as well have a bit of futureproofing attached.

ON A HAPPIER NOTE: how the hell is Furlandia already next month?! Holy crap! :D

I plan on attending at least one day. My roomie has long been curious about furry cons, so we're going to celebrate her birthday with our local con! Who can I expect to see there? ✨👀✨

I hiked Tryon Creek State Park and bought hummingbird finger puppets. XD Gonna call my brother later. It's been a chill day! <3

I'm not going to rush my art this year. I haven't drawn in... a couple weeks, I think? But that's okay. I've got lots of ideas forming. Right now, I'm enjoying the outdoors, video games, and updating my planner. :D

I'm upgrading my PC soon: getting an entirely new setup. My XPS is six years old; I hate that this is ancient in computer years, meh. But I'm eager for the change, and investing in something current will be nice.

YOOOOOO so I disappeared for a few months there, post-wise. I'm still lurking! Just gotta sit down and scan / edit more art. :3

My job is still going well! But, as with any new job, I had some rough days. These days in particular, however, led me to realize that I likely have ADHD... along with autism and OCD. As the year progresses, I want to work towards diagnosis(es) and possibly weaning myself off of Zoloft to see if ADHD meds would benefit me more. Turns out, Zoloft can make ADHD symptoms worse! (Fun to learn when you've taken it for over two years, wheeeee!)

I'd begun suspecting that I may have ADHD and / or autism and / or OCD during the past several years. Pandemic introspection and all. I'd told my therapist it felt like I was looking for answers that didn't exist. Yet the more I researched childhood OCD and how autism and ADHD present in girls / AFAB children, I was like: Fuuuuuuuuuck, yeah, that describes my experiences then AND now.

Here we are: 2025. I plan on making more art reflecting how I actually feel about the States' uuuuuuuh everything.

Today was my second full shift day at my new job! Eight hours pass so QUICKLY compared to my last shift. (Makes sense cuz uuuuh I worked a 12-hour shift lol.) :U

I'm enjoying it so far. My trainer is patient while also firmly reiterating steps that I forget. Nothing to worry about during my first few days, but reinforcing proper process helps!

Swing shift... actually aligns really well with my natural sleep habits. And if I need to sleep in a bit (as I did on Tuesday), it's not an issue. I leave around 12:15, arrive 12:45ish, and have time to make a breakroom cafe latte. THAT really helped keep me going today! XD

As for art: still some straggler backlog pieces that I'll share by the weekend. Aaaaaand my two-year top surgery anniversary is fast-approaching! I want to make new art to commemorate it. <333

On that note: last week, I helped one of my besties with his top surgery!! He'd been waiting for ages and got in on a cancellation. Had a week to prepare. I didn't have to deal with drains, so it was fascinating learning how to care for his drains. New skill achieved! :D

My goal is to upload the remainder of my backlog by the end of the month. I'm eager to post new art as I create it! 💖

Good news: I GOT A JOB. Background check proceeding now, and I got my drug test over with. I start on Monday, October 7th! By that time, this will have been my shortest unemployment stint: two months. I'm grateful knowing that my new job reached out to me despite my having just been fired in August. Don't work in a warehouse without air conditioning, friends. 🥵 (They say, after working there for almost 4.5 years...)

I've gone Full Blorbo on my FA profile and keep finding excuses to add emojis and icons. XD I began creating folders for my stories and characters last night. Organization brain go vrrrrrrrrrr. <333

I'm finally pushing through my hesitancy to share more art here. I've had this account for ages, but shied away from sharing much online after deleting my social media accounts in 2022.

I am also currently unemployed (I HAVE BEEN FREED FROM OATMEAL BONDAGE), so uploading art is not my biggest concern right now--but I miss having community online. Things just ain't the same as back in Ye Olde Dial-Up Days!! XD
