Got up, took a shower, went to the opening ceremonies, those were cool. All the old awesome people made me feel like a complete newb, who still enjoys such classic entertainment such as this gem right here. Then, went to "So this is your first Anthrocon?", that was awesome, then went to lunch, had some chips. Went back for the Furthia High panel, and I got the position of videotaping the audience for reactions and stuff, which isn't creepy whatsoever. This is also the time that I learned I am a shitty videographer, because I don't have steady hands, or a tripod. So hopefully Immy can use some of the crappy footage I have. That and they never gave Quetza a projector, which kind of ruined a lot of the presentation. Stupid frreaking grhaeiufarfarva

I think after that we went back to the room for a bit? Nothing really happened that I remember. Then there was 2's show, that was amazing. Made me wish I could do comedy. I gotta get over myself and get out there. I might hurt someone. But probably just my reputation. And pride. But oh well.

Woke up about 10, went to registration but registration wasn't up yet. Went back to our room because Ches forgot his volunteer consent stuff. Went back to pre-reg a little later, picked up my badge. Saw a dude with the Sepultritude shirt, and yes I know that's not spelled correctly. Almost said something, but was too afraid.

Got my badge, aaaaaah my name is on it. Hung around there for a bit, saw Immy and Sapphire, and maybe Quetza too? Kind of forgot. They went off to set up stuff, me and Alisson went back to our hotel room. Hung out there for a while being all depressed about stuff, for no good reason. Got pizza and chicken wings, I ate the chicken wings. Some drama stuff happened, blech. Went back to the convention center, met up with Immy for a bit, went to Whose Lion Is It Anyway, which is an improv thing. Should have gone up. Also, saw Sully (yaaaaaaay she's awesome) and her fursuiter friend, who ruffled my hair and it was awesome and I didn't freak out like I thought I would. Because I'm scared of fursuits, you see. I think I'm getting better, though. Also an eagle sat next to me. And I should have volunteered for stuff but I'm too scaaaaaaared. And then we came back here.

Also yesterday was cool too. Not a lot happened, learned where stuff was, and hung out with Klone, Sphix, Immy, Quetza, Ches, Alisson, Nyil, someone who's real name is Travis, and Sapphire. I think that was everyone, anyway. Klone and Nyil took great pleasure in tickling me, because they're weird. I think I was starting to annoy everyone else with my loud giggling, but did they let up noooooooooooo. Now everyone probably hates me yay. It's all their fault too.

(Also just because it's all unused doesn't mean it's just a throwaway album, it's the best stuff out of ~110 submitted things. And a lot of work was done to get everything tip-top for a release.)

ANYWAY. This is probably the first of a few posts you'll hear me go on about, about Homestuck music being released. I definitely have a bunch of other stuff just itching to show you all.

It's been a while, that's all I'll say. Yeah, lots of crap happened over Christmas break. I'll explain.

My parents have suspected me of having some kind of mental disorder for some time. So, when I was out one day, on my way to see a friend (who I never ended up seeing because of this), my parents went through my things, found my journal, and read through it. So, they found out I was a furry, and gay/bi/whatever, that I'd had a boyfriend before, whatever. My dad called me home, talked to me for a while. Basically, he blames my sexuality and general behavior on whatever mental condition I have, if I even have one. And yeah, they're both religious.

Oh yeah, and my father also insulted the projects I did, saying I should be focusing on schoolwork. I guess since I didn't feel the need to send them my grades, they thought I sucked. The other funny thing is, a few days after this, I got invited to join the MSPA music team, along with quite a few other people. Really excited for that. It's totally "useless" and a "waste of time". (Really, it's prompting me to write even more, and the great thing is, I can use it in my composition classes as well. Two birds, one stone.)

And they also threatened me with a contract, saying if I signed it, then they could take away financial aid if I didn't take medication and get counseling. Mental condition, remember?

That was around New Years' Eve.

Then, I came back up to Canada! Much more fun. I started working hard on things for probably the first time in university, I mean, heck, I was out all day and hardly loafed around. That's just weird, for me.

And then, last Sunday, my parents visited to drop off food, talk about things, they said, since they were dropping off my older sister, she didn't get back into school until this week. So, they visited. Nothing bad happened.

And then I get a note later from my mother, saying she left a book for me, and it wasn't left behind, in case I was thinking that. I recalled her randomly walking into my room while I unpacked food, and yeah. The book was called "Human Sexuality: A Christian Perspective". Needless to say, I wasn't happy, especially when I read the bits about homosexuality.

So I wrote a note back to my mother, trying my best to keep from completely biting her head off. Told her to not talk to me for a few weeks, maybe longer. Got an email from my father, saying he wasn't happy with what she'd done (either he didn't know she would leave it, or he was trying to save the situation), and then he kind of danced around the issue for a while. I don't think they'll ever really accept it. So yeah.

It's not the most traumatic coming-out story you've ever heard, I'm sure, but it's oddly upsetting and unnerving to me. Besides that, I'm just trying to keep up with schoolwork and life.

...And no, I don't know why I feel compelled to write about it on FA. To fill people in, I guess.

Anyway, I've got a little more time tonight to be online before I need to get to bed and get up, so I'm going to get to uploading things. Plenty of big projects I'm working on, getting excited too, and I can show you all a bit of that.

Oh right, and one other thing, I have found the best piano/room to record/play in/on, it's great. The only sucky bit is, it's a classroom, so I have to find ways to sneak in. Which is just plain fun, though.
