The BDSM Test
Posted 11 years agoComing off of the flu, and now adjusting to new heart medication. Such a good new year. :P So while I'm still not drowsy or anything I took the BDSM test. Not surprised really, considering IRL I'm sensitive and free spirited.

The Flu isn't the best way to start the New Year.
Posted 11 years agoYep. I'm weak, tired, chilling, drowning on my own nasal fluids, coughing, etc. I feel like death. Regardless have a happy New Year one and all. I hope yours goes better than mine is.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays one and all!
Posted 11 years agoEven with our blatant overcommercialization of a holiday that is now more about presents and trampling people over sales at Wally World, the holiday season is still very much a time of peace and togetherness. It even brought a war to a standstill. With that in mind, I want to take this opportunity to wish everyone a very safe and merry Christmas, and happy holidays. It really is a great time of the year, full of colorful lights, hot cocoa, stylish sweaters, cozy fireplaces and timeless music and TV specials. Even miserable, bitter old cunts can't help but get the warm fuzzies,... Okay I forgot where I was going with this, but it was supposed to be really whimsical and stuff... and things... Erh, well, anyway, Merry Christmas and happy holidays!

Wisdom Teeth are the Devil
Posted 11 years agoYeah, so... My bottom left wisdom tooth has decided out of the blue to just fully erupt for no reason, even though none of them have bothered me after around four years. So now I'm in pain something awful, not from the tooth itself, but from the flap of gums partially covering the protruding tooth, which has swollen and become inflammed. And it huuuurts. ;_;
It's been like this since friday, and we can't make an appointment with the dentist until tomorrow. Guuuh... I can't even eat it's that bad. Seems like by body just wants me to suffer these days.

Exactly the reason I'm terrified to come out to my family

I feel for Daniel, for I too live in an area full of hatemongering religious bigots just like these. These people are the reason that I'm afraid of being what I am, I did not choose this. How anyone can think another person would want to choose to be the victim of garbage like this is beyond me. I can't just be myself without living the fear that someone might disown me, or attack me in some way. I live every day unsure of myself, terrified and asking myself if I'm wrong because of who I am. I have no self esteem.
But this... This is just the finest example of bad parenting and hatemongering bigotry at its ugliest. These people claim to be of God, yet toss their child out on the street and refuse to support him, using the bible as an excuse for their hatred and wrath. This is not what Jesus of Nazareth tought, and these parents failed to learn these qualities. My blood is boiling, yet all I can feel are sadness and pity.
Judge not lest ye be judged.

wolfwingxSo apparently Minecraft is meant for kids...?
Posted 11 years agoOne thing I’ve come across is that Minecraft seems to be getting a lot of hate across the gaming sphere, but why?
Well, many of the ‘perfectly-well-thought-out' arguments I've seen include the following:
"OMG dis bloky graphix sux lolorz terrible gaem!"
"It doesn’t has story so Minecraft has nothing to do lol."
"GTA V clearly haz betar open world an graphix lawl."
"This game is for kids lol who wud play dis shiet how is it betar than Halo omg lol."
CLEARLY words from intelligent and respectable gaming genius! Ahem, but all blatantly obvious sarcasm aside, every one of these comments is wrong. Also idiotic, but everyone is entitled to their opinion, even if entitled morons ruin human society… But anyway, to the point!
First off, a game can only be better than another pureply based on one’s own personal taste. Someone who’s into racing games but hates 3D Platform games might like the Mario franchise for Mario Kart, but would dislike games like Super Mario 64, yes?
Second, if one hates Minecraft, or any game just because it doesn’t look like real life through a window, or doesn’t play realistically? One is an ignorant child spoiled by years worth of unoriginal modern AAA games.
What makes Minecraft so great is the fact that it’s completely open world, procedurally generated every time you load a new world. This means that very single world you spawn in is massive, randomly generated, always different. Every adventure you go on is one you make. Every building and monument is your creation. The whole world is sculptable clay that you can mold into a world and a story of adventure, and one can even make actual art with it. It’s completely open world with no rules, no story, no limitations set by graphical quality or anything else that keeps even some of today’s best AAA titles from becoming timeless classics. It’s new, it’s unique, it’s varied, and it has infinite potential.
There are infinite possibilities in every randomly generated world of Minecraft, there will always be new places to explore, new things to build, and Survival mode makes the effort put into something feel more worth it with creepers waiting around every corner. Modded the game easily lasts three limes longer than GTA V or even Skyrim, plus more.
That’s what makes Minecraft so great. It isn’t another 1080p-obssessed, grey, boring, AAA artsy-fartsy game trying so hard to be a movie it shits out generic and boring gameplay. The shooting gameplay in GTA V was done before, by GTA IV and several other games. Cover-based shooting has been done since Gears of War. Minecraft on the other hand is unique, different, refreshing, and original. The industry needs more like it.
As for whether or not it’s meant for kids, well… It IS kid friendly in that it doesn’t have a story about criminals robbing banks or being stranded on an island with a psychotic mercenaries.
But y’know what? Everytime I see someone say ‘This game is for kids,’ it reminds me of that one old Cheerios commercial where a mother buys her little girl a bunch of cerals like Fruit Loops, Cocoa Puffs, Lucky Charms, etc. So the toddler girl runs around pointing at each ceral going ‘THATS FOR BABIEZ!’ until she comes to the bland, tasteless original cardboard flavor Cheerios and says “O I liek this!”
Nothing makes someone look more childish than trying too hard to be an adult, because if you ask any adult the question of ‘What do you miss the most about your life?’ The answer is almost always ‘My childhood.’ Most might think they’d reply with their 20s when they partied all the time, but honestly, who actually remembers the party after getting piss drunk, passing out and waking up in a bathtub full of ice with a missing kidney?

What seperates Elder Scrolls Online from other MMOs?
Posted 11 years agoWarning, a rant wil be posted soon.
So, I'm on youtube watching various reviews for ESO. Not even reviews from official sites, just fan reviews from big TES fans, like Josh from the ShoddyCast(Who's review I disliked because of how biased and nitpicky it was, especially since he's STILL upset over the collector's edition). The problem there being 'from the point of view of a hardcore TES fan.' Naturally these reviews are biased and negative, because 'no one asked for this' or 'It's not really TES if I can't dance on a table and knock stuff off!(Yes, this literally was one argument made against the game.)'
Naturally I express my disagreements, and one guy, ONE guy, who I might add had been harassing several people in the comments who disagreed with the review like a typical mindless sheep-parrot, decides to target me and ask me the question "I want you to tell me what separates ESO from other MMOs."
As if he was daring me, that I wouldn't have a good argument. Well, something in me just snapped and I couldn't resist. I gave him just want he wanted, I told him exactly what he wanted to know, and I figured 'Why not share the sting of this burn?' Enjoy the read:
"That's easy. It's got more engaging and immersive combat, first person view, it offers freedom in class and skill structure, it's got a minimal and clean UI that doesn't cover the entire screen with 90 hotbar buttons, numbers or brightly colored usernames, fantastic character creation, engaging story with more meaningful sidequests that aren't just 'Farm 200 Guar because YOLO.' I only had TWO fetch/farming quests in the two beta weekends I played, and even then there was a fucking story reason behind it, not just some lazy cunt NPC who couldn't be bothered to go shopping. It plays more like a TES RPG, that makes it instantly more fun and engaging than any other MMO I ever played.
And before anyone tells me the past TES games had better quests and NPCs; Every NPC in Skyrim, even if they did have some semblence of personality, was just there for exposition. I've heard lots of TES fans bitching because the quests are shallow and offer no real choice, when were there ever not quests like these in TES? Picking a side in the Civil War mattered about as much as choosing between 2% and Skim milk based on taste alone. How many fetch quests did I do in Oblivion and Skyrim, hmm? NIRNROOT, Crimson Nirnroot, Jazbay Grapes, Frost Salts, Fire Salts, 'Oh please go to dungeon X and find item Y for me.' The most choice we got in dialogue options was two generic moral path dialgues, and asking about exposition.
->You're awesome. I'm Dovahkiin the good honorable hero!
Who are you?
Why are you here?
What is this place?
Tell me about X.
I don't like your face because I'm evil hurr hurr.
=EVERY dialogue with any NPC ever, at least in Skyrim. In Morrowind the Dialogue may as well have been a fucking wiki with all the damn sub links to more expositions.
I won't deny it has it's problems, but I want you to point to me ANY MMO ever that was absolutely perfect at launch, and if anyone mentions GW2 I'll slap them. GW2 isn't F2P, it's pay once, and one person in its defense told me that they release content for it often, but it's still fucking temporary most of the time. I actually enjoyed playing ESO, and was able to make it into the game without losing complete and utter interest like I did with WoW, Neverwinter, SWTOR and DCUO. It has bugs. The dev team fixed them. It had a dupe, fixed the next day. That tells me that even now the devs are continually working on it to add and fix content. Yeah the phasing issue sucks, they're working on THAT too! Jesus Christ ESO as an MMO is going to get more patches and support than any other TES game has ever gotten or will get, since Beth's done adding DLC and patches to Skyrim, yet in here come what are supposed to be grown intelligent men and women who act like spoiled twelve year olds. "Oh my gawd Bethesda y u maek dis MMO dun't u know teh MMOs suck I want my single player where I can role cheese down a hill and dance on a table to knock shit off! I PAYED MONIES U PLEASE ME NAO!"
Those are literal complaints I've heard for ESO too. By the way everyone realises how much behavior like that makes our community look like spoiled children with ADHD, right? Does anyone even have any idea how hard it actually is to develop a game, WHY it takes several years? Pft, yeah, thought so.
Every technical flaw everyone is pointing to in order to hate the game is being adressed or has been addressed post launch. And TES 'fans' that hate it? "Oh it's not free ENOUGH, exploration PUNISHES you." Bullshit. I went out on my own, found two Skyshards, got a skill point, went looking around to enjoy the scenery, got a wealth of crafting supplies, and picked up three fucking quests on the road. How is that different from Oblivion or Skyrim? Or even ANY RPG? "Oh but the mobs are leveled boo hoo they hurt me if I go to the wrong place." Same fucking thing in Oblivion and Skyrim. I went exploring in Skyrim at level five and got murdered by two cave bears, then reloaded, went a different direction, entered a ruin and got buttfucked by a Draugr Deathlord.
I'm sick of fanboys and biased idiots in general shitting on this game for what it's not, either Elder Scrolls VI: Unrealistic Fanboy Expectations, or WoW. Fucking get over it already. It's an MMO, a really good one with a surprisingly stable launch considering all things, based in Elder Scrolls Lore, which I love. Fucking hell it took Blizzard FIVE YEARS after launch just to fix a falling-through-the-world bug. Zenimax solved an issue like that before/at launch. People need to stop treating ESO like the next single player AAA-title artsy-fartsy grey generic cash grab they think it is, open their eyes and see it for what it fucking is. It's not a game with a story mode that's done the moment it's out the door with tacked on multiplayer. It's an MMO. It's a game with a fucking fully fledged dev team being fueled by the subscription to continously improve upon it over time, FOR-EV-ER. It is not something meant for players to just breeze through the story and then sell for another game. It's ongoing, and it will always be!
I hate MMOs. I hate the camera positions, the bulky unnimersive UI, the retarded asshats with no lives who name their dwarf paladin Butthole Destroyer and mod his code to be a damn farm bot, the boring unnimersive fixed-animations dice roll DnD combat bullshit, I. Fucking. Hate. MMOs. But I had a lot of fun with ESO, they had to do something right to get me to like it, and that was make it LESS like every other MMO, mix TES lore and gameplay with MMO gameplay, and make a stable online game. So there. *annoyed twitch*"
IC Character Meme Thingamajig
Posted 11 years agoThe ONLY Rule: The owner MUST answer these questions IN CHARACTER.
In-character starts here:
1.) What is your name?
Jonathan Luke Dupree
2.) Do you know why you were named that?
Eh, never really thought about it. None of my grandparents had the name, I guess my ma and pa just really like it. It rolls off the tongue too.
3.) Are you single or taken?
Single. I have feelings for a few people though, maybe.
4.) Have any abilities or powers?
None, I'm just pretty average really. Well, there is one thing. After being kidnapped by this group of people, they did... experiments on me. I don't really wanna talk about it, but I can grow or shrink in muscle mass with a mention of a keyphrase. I just choose not to, unless I REALLY need to.
5.) Stop being a Mary-Sue!
...You really think I am? Well, maybe. I'm not llike the hulk or nothing, I can't grow muscles and then just toss a tank into a helicopter. It's more I can just become hunkier or twinkier. That's why I don't really consider it a power.
6.) What's your eye color?
Sapphire Blue. I get them from my ma.
7.) How about Fur/Scale color?
Tan fur, white chest and belly, typical for a cougar really. As for hair, brown, brunette, erh... Auburn I think it's called? The light brown. I get that from my pa.
8.) Have you any family members?
Yeah, my ma, Dorothy, though she goes by Dottie. And my pa, Walton, or Walt for short. There's also my Grandpa Matthew and Grandma Pollie on my dad's side, and my Grandpa Bill on my ma's side. My other Grandma, Hazel, passed on a few years back. I miss her...
9.) Oh? How about pets?
Feral pets, or like, kinky pets? Never had a kinky pet, but I did have this one bright orange toyger housecat once, called Sonny. He was so cute!
10.) That's cool, I guess. Now tell me something you don't like
Christ you need to lighten up, you're startin' to give me mood whiplash. Hrm... Well, there are plenty of things I don't like. But the biggest thing are Christian zealots who do terrible things in the name of God.
11.) Do you have any activities/hobbies that you like to do?
Gaming definitely, mostly on console. I also like to watch TV, I really love Game of Thrones, Supernatural and Doctor Who.
12.) Have you ever hurt anyone in any way before?

20.) Do you have fangirls/fanboys
Not that I know of. Maybe one, I guess?
21.) What are you most afraid of?

22.) Okay... What do you usually wear?
Something pretty casual most of the time. My favorite outfit is usually boxer briefs for undies, blue jeans, and a t-shirt.
23.) What's one food that tempts you?
Cookies and/or pie, but mostly cookies. White Chocolate Macadamia Nut cookies... I'm so hungry now, damn it.
24.) Am I annoying you?
Nah. You could be a little less forward and douchey, but it's been entertaining.
25.) Well, it's still not over!
Um... okay? That wasn't even a question, but okay. Less time wasting, more question asking, please?

35.) Camping or indoors?
Indoors. Bees hate me I swear, the little bastards dive bomb me whenever I'm outside!
38.) Are you still wanting the quiz to end?
....Quiz? I thought this was an interview. I guess not, I like answering questions.
39.) Well, it's over. Now tag some people!
Erh, nah. I'm not gonna bug people with it.
40.) Do you want to copy this to your journal pretty please with sugar on top.. you can even have the cherry...?
Why not? I do like keeping records I guess.

I really should have done this update sooner!
Posted 11 years agoOkay so, remember a month ago when I was badly sick? Apparently it was because I ate a terrible cheap canned chow mein from the La Choy brand. Avoid the crap, it is AWFUL. Now, moving on.
I also adopted one of
mad21's characters, Danny Carter, who I'd gotten art with before as a Christmas gift: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/9431300/ That was one of the best gifts I'd ever gotten, by the way.
Also, I did get the permission in writing. This is the note I gote from mad21 verbatim:
Just as I promise, Danny character is officially your character starting today. Feel free to re-post the artwork I have in my gallery but make sure to credit the artist.
So the lot of you can expect me to be uploading lots of art with a hot studly stallion in it over the next few hours! Enjoy, and thanks again to
mad21!

Only a little over 300 watchers in four years, that's quite a shame considering how good they are. Anyway, have a look over their journal and read their terms, potentially get free art!
