Vote for next drawing!
Posted 2 months agoPatrons voted on what I should draw next for them, and "Inflatable" won this round. Nikki became an inflatable hotdog. Don't know who Nikki is yet? She's a clone of Nick! and has been getting into her own series of embarrassing mishaps on the Patreon.
Anyway, I'll be posting another "draw next" poll in the coming days, so if you want to vote on the next thing I should draw, become a patron. I'll leave a link at the bottom.
These are the options in the next poll;
Egg yolk in pan
Rubber Duck
Frog
Demon/imp
Gargoyle/petrification/statue
Flattened
Mushroom

Major Announcement!
Posted a year agoSince Patreon is moving to billing Patrons on the same day of pledge each month, I've grouped the Arkuatica comics into three omnibus's, so that it only takes 3 months to get them all!
Month one, issues 1 to 6.
Month two, issues 7 to 12.
Month three. issues 13 to 17.
I've decided to do this because I don't want to have to keep checking up who needs a comic sent every day of the month for so many people.
All those comics in 3 months? Wow!
Annual pledgers (5% discount) will be sent all the comics month 1
Join up here for the comics and all the other Patreon drawings too!

The New Arkuatica $1 Tier
Posted 5 years agoThe Arkuatica Patreon now has a $1 tier, the "Nudi' Supporter" for those who've been and downloaded all of the Ark comics in the $21 "All The Things" tier, and would like to continue to support my oceanic endeavours, as well as see the occasional exclusive Patreon posts. So drop back in and give me a thumbs up like Marco!

Japanese Translator Needed
Posted 6 years agoHello. I would like to post the first Arkuatica comic on Pixiv. Would any of my Japanese watchers like to provide me translations of the dialogue? Or do you have any Japanese friends who might?
The English text can be altered to better suit the language, but should be able to fit within the existing speech bubbles.
All I would require is a text file, with the speech for each new bubble on a new line.
If you wish to take a look at the comic again, here is a link to the first Arkuatica issue. http://fav.me/dcfnzy9
If you are interested in helping me, please comment.

New Chapter: IT'S MAGIC: Food Party!
Posted 6 years agoWith the first chapter of It's Magic is concluded, we begin the second. Featuring Rick and Danny as they join a house party themed around food transformations with a rent-a-slots, one armed bandit machine. It's essentially a transformation roulette, but the level of TF varies. You could be an anthropomorphised food version of yourself, all the way to being actual giant food, and edible!
Become a $3 patron now, to start reading the comic, with 2 pages posted every Friday. Get all of It's Magic chapter 1 with 20 pages of transformational shenanigans immediately, and even receive my other comic Arkuatica, monthly.
Most patrons pay $5 a month for benefits like these, but this tier from me is only $3, and with that value, becoming a Patron just keeps on getting better!
https://www.patreon.com/DonPretzel
The first chapter follows the 'Flyby Transformations' short, that I posted a while back. Featuring a witch on a transformation spree.
Now that's complete, the series continues with the Food Party Bandit story, that feature a food bandit machine at a house party, and a myriad of food related transformations. Everyone familiar with my bandit illustrations from a while back will know how fun that should be.
From there, we'll then spend a night with a stage magician as he... and you guessed it, performs transformative magic tricks! :D
And then to round it off, we should be taking a visit to Tairary, a planet just oozing with a magic aura. A hotspot for tourists looking to get "changed".

New Comic: IT'S MAGIC

There's more than a dozen pages already up on Patreon, with 2 new pages posted every Friday. But that's not all! 'It's Magic' comic tier Patrons will also be subscribed to the Arkuatica comic and receive issue 2 when you join and a new comic each month, with 7 comics currently available.

Give shiny, get Arkuatica issue 2
Posted 6 years agoIt looks like everyone's going gangbusters on the new 'Shinies' feature.
Well, I'd like to give you all the opportunity to get something back, for your 'Shiny'.
So. tip (Shiny) me $5, and note me your e-mail address, and I'll send you Issue 2 of Arkuatica, within a day. The comic is by most intents and purposes, a children's comic, but there is a TF of sorts, in all but 1 of the issues.
A regular subscription to the comic on Patreon, along with everything else posted there, is actually just $3. So this is for anyone who'd like to dip their toes into the next issue of Arkuatica, but don't want to commit to becoming a patron.
And like others have said. Support your artists.

My Mission
Posted 6 years agoMake a sustainable living, through illustrating.
How.
1. Commissions (Minor)
2. Patreon (Major)
Comic/s
I will try to improve my output and quality of illustrations.
I will continue to evolve my Patreon, improve Tiers and benefits.
I aim to keep working in this direction, towards my goals, for at least, the next 5 years, to see whether income will grow to where I will feel comfortable in starting part 2.
Look to expand revenue streams. Ko-Fi?
Sale of comics - Gumroad, itch.io, e-junkie.
Part 2. (2022?) Must have reached at least second goal on Patreon, of $270 p/m.
Begin working towards making a full length Arkuatica Cartoon (At least a pilot episode)
How.
1. With funds/savings from Patreon, and commissions, and/or with a Kickstarter, GoFundMe campaign etc.
2. Find and work with other independent professionals, to create at least the pilot episode.
(College students for V/A's to work in person for proper consistency and direction)

How to see my commissions sooner.
Posted 6 years agoSometimes, I hold commissions back for various reasons. They'll now be uploaded to Patreon, as and when completed.
It's usually because I have more in a series to complete before posting, or commissioners accompanying stories aren't posted yet.
Moreover, all other commission sketches will be posted on Patreon too, ahead of completion and posting here.
I have quite a number now, that won't be publicly posted for a while, so over the coming week, I'll be uploading them to Patreon.

My Patreon
Posted 7 years agohttps://www.patreon.com/DonPretzel
It's been a long time coming, but apart from commissions I have no other income. Commissions have been great but in the long run, it's not enough. So I've created a Patreon where I'll post all my WIP's and between getting regular commissions and my long term comic project, there's quite a few building up. If you want to get involved, $1 is enough from any of you and in return you'll get instant access to all the drawings that I have never completed, or don't make the cut, as well as my long term WIP's and all the new ones as I create them.
But wait, there's more!
I'm currently working on a long term comic project Arkuatica! it features merboys and mergirls and a number of the chapters include transformation. (Become a patron to find out more.) All patrons will get to early access to issue 1 as soon as it's finished and way long before it goes public here. $3+ patrons will also get to see all subsequent Ark comics as soon as each are finished too. In addition, $6+ will also get 10% off commissions and $12 patrons get 20% off.
If you don't have a Patreon account, signing up is quick and easy. You type in the name you want, enter your e-mail and create a password, done. Then all you have to do is link up your Paypal or other payment method and you can start supporting me straight away.
https://www.patreon.com/DonPretzel
Side note. Becoming my patron gets you turned into a balloon. =P

Mass Upload Of Old To New Next Couple Of days
Posted 8 years agoJust gonna be uploading a backlog of old artworks all the way up to the new stuff these next couple of days. In the hope of finding new commissioners and getting a few commissions here too. :)
My fees range from $7 for a sketch to $19 for a fully lined coloured and shaded piece. I'll make a more comprehensive list in the next journal soon, and I'll be submitting good examples of the quality you can expect, and it's better than what I've submitted so far. They'll be labelled 'Commission' or 'Commish' in the title.
