A little while back, I was trying to upload an updated version of "Father of Mine." Unbeknownst to me at the time, I accidentally uploaded a copy of "A Modest Promposal." To make matters worse, I had lost the original file for "Father of Mine." So, I decided to rewrite the story from scratch. At some point, I found an archive of FA files, and thus, the original file for "Father of Mine," but I put off uploading it for a while. Now, I've reuploaded the original file. But I'm still revising some elements in a new version. That new version will be uploaded once it's complete.

I've been toying with having Ferrous Frog get transferred to another city. Currently, he's stationed in Los Angeles, but I'm considering having him sent to Portland, Oregon, in a possible future story.

For context, Portland in the Colmaton Universe is an epicenter for supernatural occurrences and paranormal activity.

Some of you may have noticed I hadn't been around for a few weeks. Well, I had been primary caregiver for my mother for years. After we learned about my nephew's suicide, she suffered multiple strokes on top of vascular dementia. Lately the stress of helping to care for her took its toll on my mental health. I had already been diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety Disorder and Non-specific Depressive Disorder. Lately, I'd been irritable, neglecting self-care, stress eating. My oldest brother took me for a psych eval on advice from his own psychiatrist. The evaluation determined that I needed inpatient treatment at a behavioral health facility. That's where I was from September 20th to this past Friday. Now I'm in an outpatient program. I'm on my way to getting better for the next chapter of my life.

Just two years away from fifty.

Last night, after posting "Lightning Strikes Las Torres" and "Breaking The Ice," I ran my cursor over the link to my folder marked "Voltage Vixen II - Kayla Bowles." The number of submissions popped up:
