gonna make a realistic suit of my fursona this time around
definitely starting from a resin base. probably DVC
gonna be expensive aaa
but hopefully worth it!

also does anyone live in the tri-state area and own an airbrush/know how to use an airbrush??? because like
i honestly dont look at a realistic suit as complete until there's some airbrushing done, it just adds to the realism exponentially when done right. and i'd really like to learn/practice/have access to the tools so i can do it on this suit uwu
heck i'll pay you, just come to my house or meet me somewhere, bring that fuckin airbrush, and lets brush it up
(i wont need this for another few months tho. still gotta get money for the DVC parts and then assemble the head before its time to airbrush)

My manager is a real taskmaster, there's no way for me to get out of this. I'm also working til 10 today and Friday, and working from noon to closing on Saturday and Sunday.... Yeah this is fucking horrible. There had better be a fat paycheck waiting for me at the end of this. I did NOT sign up for this, I'm a full time student. The only two salaried workers in the store are the manager and assistant manager and they work less than most of the part-timers x.x shits mad unfair yo

ITS TIME FOR FURRY CONVENTION PLANNING

im settin up to go to FurTheMore, Anthrocon, FA United, and maybe FurFright if im lucky in 2014. no way am i making it to FurFright this year, unfortunately xAx this is all up in the air, i'm really not certain if circumstances will let me attend any of these yet, but i'm trying my best.

i need rooms and rides to all of these yes yes
ultimately i’d prefer to room and ride with a group of friends whom i can trust, and not be behind the wheel myself because i only have a probationary license atm

i can rideshare with someone except i can only take one person and they have to be +18. but if one person fitting that criterion wants to go, we can take my car, go halfsies on gas, and take turns driving (you’d have to handle any driving done before 5 AM or after 11 PM)

also you have to be responsible, i refuse to drive with someone who’s gonna be drunk, stoned, roughhousing, distracting, irresponsible, anything like that. i dont wanna die

as far as rooms go i was hoping to get together some roomies before Anthrocon room reg goes up in February, hopefully if we do that we can snag a room at the Westin and not have to schlep our bags, fursuits, and gear all the way across downtown Pittsburgh every morning and night. I -might- have roomies for FurTheMore already, but I don’t have any yet for Anthrocon, FA United, or FurFright.

i can be kinda picky about roommates because i’ve heard a lot of horror stories, but heres how my criteria go:

-i’m tolerant towards drinking and smoking (tobacco or weed), but please refrain from doing it in the room or trying to pressure me into it. if i want to partake i’ll let you know, but most of the time i prefer to be sober. if your behavior when drunk or high makes me uncomfortable, i’ll either leave the room or kick you out, temporarily or permanently, depending on the circumstances.

-close friends ALWAYS get priority when choosing roomies, because they’re people i know better and like to think i can trust more.

-please be civil, don’t break anything, don’t steal anything, dont… be shitty. i will kick you the fuck out if you do, and demand compensation if something is broken or stolen.

-don’t leave the room a sty. i’m really particular about cleaning, but i can agree to a “this is my side, this is yours” policy as long as you’re not literally leaving garbage lying around.

-if i’m down to fuck i will let you know. if i’m not, do not fucking touch me. im a huggy cuddly person with people i trust, but i’m pretty reserved sexually IRL, and i will make my boundaries very clear. if you cannot respect my boundaries or the boundaries of someone else, i’m kicking you the fuck out.

-if you’re inviting someone else up to the room, i’d prefer an introduction first. if i’m in the room at the time, feel free to bring people up, i’m friendly, i dont bite! i just have issues with the idea of random strangers being in my room when i’m not there.

-if you need “privacy” with someone else at some point, i’d kind of prefer if you used their room, but if it can’t be avoided then i’d like a heads-up beforehand. i need to come and go and get my stuff and leave my stuff too, and it’s kinda shitty to lock someone out of their room while you bang

-the cost of the room will be divided evenly among all the people staying in it. money up front, i’ll show you exactly how much i’m paying for transparency’s sake, i want to make sure things are fair for everyone involved and nobody tries to skate out of paying their part. i am not made of money, i can’t pick up your tab.

I'm still doing the best I can to find employment, but the search goes slow. And what I really want more than anything is to go to anthrocon with my partner this year.... and a trip like that is expensive as fuck. So I want to start saving up ASAP in case I dont find employment between then and now

So commissions are sort of what I'm trying to fall back on here. To get people to commission me, I need to be producing art that people want to buy. There are a lot of directions I could go in here, and getting feedback is hella important

So here's some ideas I had. I really want to hear what you guys would be interested in buying, and these are some things I've been considering marketing:

-Themed icons and adoptables
-Fursuit parts (like tails, ears, paws. Smaller projects, I'm scared to commit to something big)
-Custom papercraft commissions. I'm trying to make my own templates for papercrafts and I could charge to make customs from those templates. You'd get the papercraft pattern, maybe printed on cardstock and sent to you physically. At cons I could actually assemble them for you after designing them :3
-I could give YCHs another try

UvU i was hoping to go to Anthrocon with my partner  griffin-smut in the summer, and i'm having significant difficulty finding work right now. Since i'll probably be unemployed for a while, i want to start saving up for long term stuff right now.

i'm intending to get a new phone with the last of my current savings, because right now my phone is TOTAL garbage. doesn't even function. i can barely make it through trying to type out a text before it shorts out and restarts itself. ive had this piece of junk for 4 years, its a damn flip phone -_-
but after i make the upgrade, i'll be entirely unable to pay for anything that isnt absolutely necessary. Not "flat broke" exactly because i can still afford the most basic things, but my budgeting is going to be very very tight for a while.

so uhhh, my commissions have been open for like..... months and months and months now.
anyone have any ideas for incentives i could start pushing? specials, adoptables, gimmicks, discounts, anything??? it'd be nice having a little wiggle room with my finances again.
