I just spend ALL my time job hunting and doing local art shows. I haven't had a job since I quit mine 2 months ago now... it's kind of a mess, sorry for being so distant! :( I'm not trying to be. Honestly, what I want to do is refund everyone because I feel terrible for being so slow.
I didn't forget, my life is just a tiny bit of a mess right now, half of it I can't explain here, honestly though, I know I just owe the money back and should be reported. :/

Ugh, little progress since, my fault, long story short, I'm between jobs, kind of, because when you can't even pay all your bills, it's hard to buy a new sketchbook to draw in. :|
I haven't been around here much because I'm still working my current job up to 11 hours a day, but that should all soon change, in the mean time, I'm sketching out EVERYTHING, so don't worry, sorry for all the super slow replies. :/

There are commissions that are DONE but I simply haven't uploaded them yet because I keep forgetting, and I still don't have a scanner so you'll have to settle for crappy photos still, sorry. :|

Aiming to mail out more badges with the next paycheck or two, work slowing down a little is a double edged sword, more time to do commissions means less money to mail out older commissions with, but it will all be done in time. :3
How is everyone?
The bf, PseudoManitou, and I are loosely planning to be at AC2011, I'm not sure, but it looks like the dealers tables are almost full, and I wont be getting any extra spending money any time soon... so I'm afraid I missed out. I don't want to go unless I've got a dealers table, because otherwise, taking time off during the busy season at work is almost pointless. While he wants to go and just have fun for once. I AT LEAST would like to be part of the art show. I've got some original paintings that I'd love to throw out there.
IF we are both financially stable by the time AC rolls around, we will both be at the con, we may or may not register, we both want some chill time, I haven't been to a con since 2004 where I did absolutely no commission sales, so it will be a little weird for me and more like a vacation than anything else.
Because of that, we will be spending and not earning, and will be looking for roommates.
Also, a little random, but at MFF we met a really nice ceramist/artist from PA. by the name of Kyote, I believe that is how she spelled it, if anyone has her contact info let us know! :3

Sorry for the wait, I told everyone I had to take a brief break until January because I had some much older projects that had deadlines in January. Anyways, that's all taken care of now, whew. On top of that, when I say I work at my day job every day, I mean EVERY DAY, the last day I had off was... New years day, before that, Christmas, before that, Thanksgiving, and MFF, the latter only because I obviously called off... you get the idea. Hey, no complaints, but it does slow me the fuck down on my commissions and I seriously appologize. I'm posting this because I've got good news, I've got from Thursday - Monday off to go with my bf to go visit his mom out of state, most of the time will likely be spent indoors, watching movies and drawing, considering the weather.
I'm bringing my lap top and all my sketches and sketchbooks and I'm going to get everything done that I have time for!
After this point I will be able to get them steadily done again because the obligations with deadlines are now passed, as stated above.

I got a phone call about a death in the family last night, which is a let down.

My Christmas plans to see my bf's mom, and my family, and spend new years eve with my friends fell through ultimately because of the blizzard here, but also because someone hit my bf's car, and it would be a little careless of me to take off time during the 3rd busiest week of the year my company has.

So, I'm a little down, and sorta frustrated, and my next day off besides Christmas is probably quite literally next year. I plan to spend Christmas indoors, drawing, I couldn't even buy gifts for anyone and I don't expect anything in return. :/

I had a good time. I roomed with PseudoManitou, JenWolf and her husband, and spent the vast majority of the time drawing it up in the Artists Alley. :) I hope you checked out my art in the Art Show! Saturday night my bf and I went out with ECMajor, Farore and others, we had a great time, lots of good food and good conversation, to makeup for some terrible news I heard earlier that day, (I may have to be attending a funeral soon).
We even met some new friends. My bf introduced me to Tooie Bird, we also ran into a couple named Kyote and Kaze, who were awesome, and it was great to run into Dark Natasha again, and get high fived at my artist alley table, lol, she's so nice! Also, Gel, I'm so glad I ran into you in person, you're the best, I will get back to you ASAP!
Everyone was so great to hang out with, even if we were all a little slap happy in the Artists Alley the last day and were laughing more than we were drawing, lol, it was good.

I managed to have my bad knee (car crash, long story) flare up worse than it ever has, so I've got it bandaged and I'm not feeling 100%, but aside from that I'm feeling optimistic, I can't wait to see everyone this weekend and hopefully meet some new friends even!

This is the 4th day off I've had all month and I'm Totally not complaining, but it's crunch time for my Halloween costume. I got up before 8am on an off day because I'm crazy I guess, and bleached the fuck out of a rabbit skin I had around. I pulled most of the fur off after basically chemical burning it off in the bath tub with the fans on and then ran water over it, had breakfast, rinsed it then hung it up to dry.
It's too damn cold to open a window, unfortunately, so the house smells vaguely like bleach.
While making breakfast I accidently spilled some of it on the burner that was cooling, eww, burnt vanilla soy milk does not smell good.

I went to the leather store, bought some more rabbit furs, and then bought a little bit of faberic (half a yard) from Jo-Ann's.

I'm planning to have my costume mostly done tonight because this is my last day off until next month, including Halloween night.
Too bad it's too windy to spray paint outside today, so it will have to wait, which is seriously pushing it.

I'm also going to be selling all my old hand-made masks locally on Craigslist today for some extra cash.

I just got off work, it was a pretty damn good day!

This morning my bf and I did our food shopping and went by the hardware store for batteries and spray paint for craft projects.

Now I'm sitting on the futon, watching Food Network, drinking a beer and baking homemade pizza rolls and homemade crab wellingtons.

My bf's 35th birthday was this past Friday, so, I took him out for sushi. <3

Ah, so, at my budget of $100 a week, despite me making more money than I ever have previously, after gas, food and my bf's birthday dinner, I'm out of money to mail out commissions this week, so I'm just going to keep gathering addresses and working on current commissions and start sending things out as soon as next week.

Well, my laptop is still broken, I'll fix it soon enough, I'm still using my bf's laptop for now. Considering this means I don't have access to ANY of my files or picture lists of commissions... I'm going to have to go through the journals, comment by comment, which blows, but whatever.

The next day I work is Thursday, expect to see some new commission uploads in the mean time, or at the very least, names will start disappearing from the list again!

How have you all been?

I'm sorry if any of you have noted me yesterday or today, I'll be a little slow. My laptop needs repairs, that seem to be easy fixes, but at the same time make my lap top completely out of commission for now. Trust me, I'm going to try to get it fixed ASAP for like a dozen reasons, commissions being only one of them.

Bear with me, if I can fix it this weekend I will.... I knew it was only a matter of time before I needed a new lap top altogether..

My bf is nice enough to let me borrow his lap top, but I want to keep it to a minimum, but I'll be around, Sunday is my next day off, until then, just cross your fingers that I can get my PC fixed! :/

Yeah, I know I've already posted this, but it's fun and addictive, ask away!

I'm still sketching commissions almost daily, the only reason new art hasn't been scanned lately is because my boyfriend has been sick off and on, and had work and art deadlines left and right, and he does the scanning because I don't have a scanner, and most of my art is very large and needs pieced together and I suck at that. :P

I've also been working as much as 12 days in a row, and it's not even the holiday season yet, each shift being as long as 14 hours, including the drive there and back.

But like I said, I'm still sketching and inking almost daily, I've got over 10 badges that are done and ready to scan.

I have 4 days straight off here after this 8-day stretch of work coming up, so if you don't see stuff before then, you definitly will then, and now that I'm getting income again I'm going to go ahead and mail things out as soon as I can!

I am doing much better, SO MUCH THANKS to everyone for helping me when I didn't have income. I have a new job, it's looking very promising, I was also able to get a new car, new being a figurative term, of course, although it didn't happen before I had to give up two of my birds, but they're better off I'm sure. My car needs some repairs, but it's no biggie. I won't be at FurFright, again, I have no idea how I could manage that if I wanted to, but that doesn't mean you can't buy my art there, I'll give a specific update closer to the con.
I will be at MFF with so much stuff to sell it's not even funny, come find me! :3
My goal, which I feel is totally do-able, is to have ALL the name-you-own-price commission badges DONE before the con. AFTER the con, you can expect me to update my journal with a link to a photobucket account that is solely for my commissions, and full-sized files, I will also mail the badges out as soon as they are ALL done. Why am I finishing them all before I mail any out? Because with 150 to sort through, I'm doing each step at a time, once EACH of them are at the same step, I move to the next, so I don't get scatter brained as all hell and mail out the wrong ones or something.
I know I have a good 6 Notes sitting there, unread. I've been working almost every day this week, as well as getting ready for a local art show, and making new business cards, etc.
I have the whole next week off, so expect a lot to get done. Also, there are over a dozen badges that have since been finished and I simply havn't gotten a chance to upload yet, you'll see those up as soon as this weekend!

I say 'might' because my family and I honestly don't know what it is, but she's clearly very sick.
My dad took her to the vet recently, all he found out is that it's not a variety of worm, but he didn't have enough money for futher testing.
My bf kindly lent me his car and I spent last weekend at my parents house. I saw the cat, after not seeing her for 6 months, and I was shocked, she hardly looked familiar at all. She was always a tiny cat, never weighing more than 5 or 6 pounds, well, she's half the weight, I bet she weighs two pounds, she's skin and bone and is so skinny it makes her eyes and feet look too big for her. She throws up blood, she hardly eats, she wont let me pick her up anymore...
I gave my family $100 toward taking her back to the vet, despite still being unemployeed.

Honestly, we don't know how old she is, we briefly wondered if she is just slowly dying of old age... any cat or illness expert let me know if anything I'm saying sounds like something specific.

Even if she does die on us, she lived longer and better than she would have otherwise. She was a stray, I found her when I still lived in Ohio, she was wondering around downtown in the dead of winter and I opened my car door and she hopped in the passenger seat and just sat there, contently the whole way home. She loves people so much. :(
We don't want to put her down without knowing what it is, despite her condition she still seems so happy and doesn't appear to be in pain, then again, she is deaf, she can barely make a sound, never has, she opens her mouth and no sound comes out.

I just want the best for her. I'm not asking for money handouts, if you feel compelled to throw something my way don't announce it, I just want my cat in your thoughts/prayers.

I have a job interview today, and if I get it, the first paycheck is going to my cat.

I'm taking commissions to fund help for my cat, $20, for shipping and all, for a line art headshot badge.

I'm taking a teeny tiny break from commissions to focus on job hunting and personal art, a mental refresh button, really. I need to take a second, e-mail everyone their scanned full sized files, get all finished commssions ready to mail, put up more already done items for sale online, go to a few job fairs, get things with my car in order, get ready for MFF and FurFright, and THEN get back to knocking commissions out right and left, paid ones THEN 'name your price' badges, my goal is to be back at that before the month is up.

I'm looking for one or more people who meets All of the following qualifications!

1. You must be a regular con-goer, and attend no less than 1 con every year!
2. You must have a dealers table or artist alley table at these cons.
3. You must have 2 years or 2 cons worth experience selling your own art or craft offline/at cons, minimum.
4. I'm looking for someone who goes to well known cons, basically anything the average furry could name off hand.
5. You must have experience in taking your own commissions and know the basics of it.
6. I'm seeking people who get a fair amount of attention art-wise already.

How much will I get paid? 20%. If I make $50, you get $10, if I make $1,000, you get $200, etc. However, if the money you bring in for me is under $50, after paypal taxes, you will not get paid anything, if you have experience selling you will know your selling strenght and will have No problem reaching this goal!

When do I start? As soon as this Fall!

How often will you use me personally? As often as you will let me! If you are good at this, I'd gladly work together pretty constantly!

What will I be selling for you? Badges. Black and white, medium/large headshot badges, as shown on my userpage. They are Name-Your-Own-Price, the buyer must pay at least $1, to get one, and at least $15 to have it mailed to them, with no extra cost to ship added. I am not promoting any other items, if they ask, just tell them to ask ME later.

What else do I need to do? I will send you a small stand and business cards at my expenese, and you are to mail it back to me ASAP after the con at your expense. It shouldn't take up more than 1 sq. ft. on your table, and it must be up and visible at all times.

What if I don't live in the U.S., like you do? No problem, in fact, that's just as good, if not better, that is is spread out like that.

How do we work out the payments? You direct the commissioners to my business cards with all my info, make sure they take one, and ALWAYS take their e-mail address down. Compile them and e-mail or note me ALL the e-mail addresses, absolutely correct spelling is vital, every penny I lose is money You lose, too! Taking down and keeping character names matched with the e-mail addresses is encouraged!

Trust issues? You will NOT be taking any cash/payments on the spot from people who commission ME, I Will ask the commissions if they were asked to pay at the con for one of my badges, if I get word that you were doing so then you will recieve NO money and will not ever be worked with again, I do not tolerate dishonesty. In return, I will not keep any money from you, so you will want to work with me again, I as I am looking for regulars, once every commissions pays I will show you how much it added up to, by copying that portion of my paypal page, then divide out your percentage and paypal it to you, or send you a check or money order if you can not accept paypal.
