Posted 13 years agoI'll be at AC after skipping it for 2 years! I'm super excited! I'll be getting in on Wednesday and I'm planning on having an awesome time! Those of you with my phone number, don't hesitate to text or call me if your going to be there so we can hang out! I want to see as many of my friends as I can that weekend!

Posted 13 years agoSo far I will be attending FWA and AC. Rooms and travel arrangements have been made, so barring some horrible financial disaster in my life, I should be at both! Who all will I see at these cons?

Posted 15 years agoI just want to tell everyone that I made it back from FWA in one piece. I had a blast! That con continues to remain my favorite con year to year. I want to thank all the staff, workers, and volunteers that made this weekend an awesome one.

No AC
Posted 16 years agoBecause of the holiday weekend and the fact I work retail, I will not be attending Anthrocon this year. :\ I have put in a time off request for the weekend of Megaplex. Hopefully that works out. This will be my first year attending that con if all goes well!
MFF 2008
Posted 17 years agoI will be arriving at the hotel sometime Thursday around noon. I'll be bringing my Border collie fursuit to wear around! Don't be afraid to come up and say hello!

Posted 18 years agoWow, it's been a while since I've posted anything to my journal here on FA. Here's sort of an update on what I have been up to since my past post.
I got my new border collie fursuit a few weeks back (pics soon) and simply love it! Work has been just that, work. I did go on a week long vacation to sunny Florida to hang out with friends and do some relaxing last week. We tried to do some suiting at Disney and was denied access with our heads on, we still ended up having a complete blast even with our heads off. :P I attended Furloween for the first time and had a super time!! Florida rox!
Next up on my convention schedule is MFF. I can't wait for this con, its one of my favorites! Good times, good friends, and good drinks make it an awesome convention. Look me up if you plan on attending!
Other than that, nothing much going on! I do need to get back to my drawing skills and practicing each day... I simply need motivation! :P
Enough from me! Time to get my tail to bed! Later!!

Baggage, Day 30

I am writing this letter on behalf of the Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson International Airport baggage department. On your recent travels out of the Atlanta Airport we have obtained a lost piece of luggage with your name and address on it, unfortunately there was no phone number to contact you. Please contact Jamie Jackson at xxx-xxx-xxxx and leave a message with information concerning your travels such as the date of travel, airline that you traveled on, and a description of your bag so that your bag may be returned to you promptly.

I called the Atlanta airport today after work and spoke with the woman that sent me the letter. She asked that I describe the luggage because she had so many luggage issues she was working on. I told her it was a black Rubbermaid tote with a grey lid and she stopped me. "Oh! The one with the mascot costume in it?!" she said rather excited. :P She took my phone number, claim number, asked what airport I flew into, and told me she should be able to get it on a plane either tonight or tomorrow morning!
Needless to say, I'm pretty happy right now... the excitement is building. :P

Missing Fursuit
Posted 18 years agoMany of you already know, Northwest Airlines decided to loose the tote containing my fursuit on my way back from FWA. After more than 2 weeks of calls and frustration, I've pretty much given up hope on finding him again. If it shows up, I'll be super happy but I'm not expecting it after this long.
I have been given a mountain of paperwork to fill out and send into the airline so they can do a more extensive search for my luggage. I'm almost done with it, all I'm waiting for is a copy of the check I used to pay for the fursuit as proof of ownership. After NWA receives this paperwork, they have 30 days to locate my tote. If it's not found before then, they have to cut me a check for the value of the tote and it's contents.
I'd like to get a new fursuit made but we'll see what happens. If the wait for a new one is too long I may just keep the money and give up on suiting at cons for a while. We'll see... It's just frustrating to have something so important to you simply vanish without a trace.
I do know that I'm never flying Northwest again. As far as checking any of my future fursuit cases at the airport? I won't be doing that either. Instead, I'm sending my critter caskets packing via FedEx to the con hotel.
