Schools Back in Session!
General | Posted 13 years agoGreetings and meowliation to those precious few that actually choose to view the stew that is me.
That was terrible, but in its terribleness, you read through to the end. Kudos to you!
I am 1,3 semesters into my degree programs (Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technician and Industrial Control Systems - Maintenance and Repair)
One will net me a career as a soldering bitch for a few years as an intern, the other would have me being an industrial handyman fixing anything from a leaky toilet to the hydraulic lines feeding into and out of three story robot that builds car parts.
I'm enjoying both programs and am exceeding expectations with the EET branch of my learning. The IST side still needs some work.
Turns out we managed to link my mental woes into a classroom environment and see the polar opposite effects it had with out realizing we were doing a study.
End result: I THRIVE on the Electronics. I'm learning it faster than not only my instructor, but his two adjunct instructors are able to keep up. If I maintain the grads and find a way to curtail my attention to where it needs to go, I might make a promising adjunct to replace Brian (his current) when his term ends (when I happen to graduate).
As counterpoint, the basic electrical wiring and the hydraulics/pneumatics classes bored me enough that I was afraid I was going to fail out of them. Thankfully the teacher recognized by the 5th week what kind of a learner i am, and when we sat down and talked about my brain some it all made sense. So he graded be on a curve that dealt less with physical shown work and more on practical ability. I passed both finals on the first try with no errors and no suggestions for improvement and could confidently explain what I had built. He gave me 25% of my final grade just off that.
All in all Yay me.
I was legally declared disabled and I'm waiting on the mountain of paperwork that generates before my insurace cards come. (and the associate large sack of money, but priorities here. Health back on track so I can live to spend that money) There will be some blanket repayments going out to people who've loaned us money and we may or may not have repaid them, as well as local money matters.
All in all, life is taking a turn for the better for the first time in a long time.

Return to productivity.
General | Posted 14 years agoThree years since my last journal, and nearly as long before submissions. I haven't had an original submission in a long time, but I've starting getting back into writing music and doing musical remixes which means I actually have things I can upload and show off. Completed works will be in the gallery, works in progress or stalled projects that I can't decide where I want to take them will be found in the scraps. I don't know if scraps triggers a submission message or not, but from time to time stuff will be in there if you want to take a look.
I might as well say this now, tho I doubt it will ever come up; no, I am not, nor likely will ever be open for a commission of musical nature. I don't care if I upload something that you think would be awesome in a video game or is the perfect sound track of your life, I'm not taking requests. I will listen to comments and criticism since with out the harsh feedback, its hard to improve.
Do not leave a comment along the lines of "OMG SUXORZ". Instead leave a comment like "OMG SUXORZ and here is why." Please note: If you're a fan of music, but don't actually produce music or have some sort of a technical background in music; don't try and get technical in the comment. Just compare it to something ("it should sound more like this or flow like this but less like this").
If you like the submission and want to leave a positive comment, please take an extra sentence and tell me what you like about it or why.

Some new uploads...
General | Posted 17 years agoI've been uploading a lot of artwork done for me over the years. Please go back to the original artists for comments and favorites, as it's not my work - just my character.

General | Posted 20 years agoMy art isn't great, but I'll show it anyway.
