Does anyone know any really great ref sheets or anything that teach or help with drawing animal toes better? Like.. dog, or cat? It is one area I always have trouble with and I see soooooooooooo many great pictures with beautiful feet. So I wanted to ask around and see if you guys knew of any great 'how to' or ref sheets.. .or anything. I would so greatful!

What happened to this place? Does no one leave comments anymore on pictures these days? I used to love talking back and forth with people. But after going away for a bit, I come back and notice not many people leave comments. I see people fav a lot still. Do they think their thoughts don't mater to the artist? So they don't want to bother? It's kinda sad really. Cause there is a level of disconnection about it. I know I am trying to leave more comments around.. since I was away for about 2 years sort of. I miss it. Interacting with other artists.. and fans and friends.

Due to a huge mix up with bills and taxes, my power company turned off my power and damands the bill be paid in full. In any event, I am opening up commissions so I can get my power turned back on. I do have a couple commissions still being worked on But I am reopening back up for more cause of the issue. Yes I am a bit slow, But please know I put 150% into my commissions to make sure you get the best you paid for. Any help would be so greatly appreciated. You have no idea. Real internet again! Finally! No more using my phone and getting FA to not work. My computer up and killed itself. Straight up killed itself dead. I was updating windows and the computer had an issue and shut off while in the middle of the updating.. which will fuck Windows all up. So I restared, and windows wouldn't load at all. I tried everything under the sun.. and the computer was not having any of it. Everything I did, had an error in it. EVEN wiping the entire thing and reinstalling Windows from a real Windows cd wouldn't work. Kept saying the cd was damaged. Or bad.. or something. And it wasn't. So the last option we get to erase all our computer issues wouldn't even work.. So needless to say.. my computer internal hard drive is super dead. So I've been without a computer for a couple months. Got a new one. It's a new family computer. So I have to share it, but It is way better then nothing. Thankfully I had everything saved on an external HD.. so I didn't lose anything important.

I did have some work done but haven't been able to put the last little touches on it until now. So I plan to do that right away and upload some work again soon. Gotta get back in the hang of things again.. just.. ug. Computers hate me. u.u ...I feel like most of my journal posts are about it breaking. Same computer.. ps. I just need a new one. Which I am working on getting. ::crosses fingers:: For now.. I'm back in the FA world again. wheeeeeeeeeee!

After a VERY long month of broken computer.. Not being home to get it properly fixed, and then death in the immediate family, I am home for good and finally have my computer working again! After all the issues, all the errors.. and bullshit with it.. It turns out it was just a loose wire inside the tower. ::foams at the mouth:: and this is why I will never work with computers. It's stupid bullcrap like -that- that drives someone into madness. u.u Thankfully I didn't lose any of my files or anything. Thank GOD! So I can finally get back to work. I'm so sorry commissioners for the wait. Thank you for being understanding. This is a quick journal.. I will send personal notes later after I run a whole bunch of file checks and things. <3

(I am writting this from a friends computer) So this means at of right now.. my commissions progess is at a pause until I can get this problem sorted out. I hope I can be able to save this drive so that way I dont have to lose anything.. And can return right where I left off..

Right now I am out of town for two weeks house and baby sitting.. ( i brought my computer with me so I could work on things... glad that worked out well.... ) So I wont even be home for two weeks. All in all... this royally sucks.. and I should have done a better job backing up my stuff after the last two drives died on me. Im an moron..

First, thank you to those who wished me a Happy Birthday!!! Second, My internet has been having major issues which leaves me unable to get online the majority of the time. Which is annoying to say the least. It's been going on for about a month now. Not sure if its Comcast itself, or the fact that there has been construction going on around here that causes it.. but hopefully it will knock it off soon!

As I'm trying to get work done.. in the background I have one Animal Planet and the show.. Fatal Attractions. One thing talking about animals connection with humans caused me to tune in more and listen. It was one about big cats. I have no relation to this as I don't own any big cats, but I do own 3 domesticated cats. I'm more of a cat person then a dog person... and I love reading about cat behavior. Sometimes I wonder... what exactly do cat's see us as? They don't think the same as we human's thing... However it's clear they see us as something different then everything else in the world. Maybe because we are unlike any other animal?

I do see kindness towards humans as a learned behavior. Since feral cats fear humans. Still.. it is a very odd attachment if you think about it. Cats act towards humans, like a kitten acts towards its mother. Crying when it wants something. As cats get older, they stop meowing for attention. Their communication between other cats is done mostly with body language. However, the hissing and spitting, followed by the low rowl... are some sounds cats make towards each other. But the moment a human comes into the picture, they almost revert back to their kitten days and start meowing at us. Some experts say that cats don't love their humans.. and I think that's not exactly true. They might not understand love in the human form, but they do have attachments formed for either other cats, or people. They don't always interact with us only when they want to. There are a lot of times when I am in another room and feeling lonely. I will call out my cats name.. and he may be sleeping soundly in another room and once he hears me calling him. .He gets up and comes to me. Maybe to see if I have something for him, but even when he sees that I don't have a treat or food, he still jumps up on the bed or couch and snuggles with me. My other female cat is very attached to me. She grooms me all the time. My 3rd LOVES to have conversations with me. I will meow.. and she meows back. All of them hate not being able to get into the same room I am in. I think cats do many things to show they are fond of their human owners and have strong attachments for them. And the more new things I find out about cat behavior, the more I love learning about how meaningful it is the way my cats treat and interact with me.

I dunno.. just rambling my thoughts really.

I looked over and noticed that it has been forever since I updated my journal. I'm not even sure people read journals anymore.. ah well. To catch up, this summer I moved in with my cousin to help baby sit her kids.. They live on a farm and had no internets.. So I was foaming at the mouth not being able to get online. haha but at least the farm animals were fun to hang out with. She has horses too!

After that, I came home and had a fun little earthquake. Like much of the east coast did. Then delt with hurricane Rita. And now it's Fall. Just had a major nor'easter.. and of course it fell on the day I had to drive up to NYC. Man AM i ever happy me friend and I made it. We saw so many cars get into accidents because they just drive like crazy in snow and think they wont ever crash.

2011 has really been a year of very extreme weather/seasons. Winter has a lot of storms and a lot of snow fall. The spring was record breaking with Tornadoes. Summer was hot for the mid west.. with 100 days almost the whole time. End if summer for us was record breaking rain fall and major flooding. Now Fall is here.. and instead of pretty colored trees... we got snow. So strange. Nothing messes up your inner clock more then dealing with an unatural day in a season. Snow all over trees that were still covered with all their leaves, was really just to strange.

Going to be in a wedding in 2 weeks up in NYC.. fun times all around.

ps. already seeing christmas commercials on the tv. Seriously?! Who are we... Canada? (Canada doesn't have Thanksgiving at the same time we do, so after Halloween, their next holiday is christmas) the US has another major holiday that is between Halloween and Christmas. That lovely middle child by the name of Thanksgiving!! Can we just not flood Christmas in our faces so early again this year? It really and truly kills the mood. By the time Christmas rolls around, I am soooooo burnt out by the 2 months of it getting shoved in our faces.

Oh My Goodness... ::pants:: So I am back -finally- after dealing with a really broken computer. Not Only did my main hard drive die, but then my backup drive (which I had all my shit on) Died as soon as I put in the new one. Thankfully I was able to get everything off my 2nd drive onto the new main one, but I no longer have a back up drive. So I hope no more goes wrong with this thing! ::crosses fingers:: In the middle of that I've been running around doing family things.. and talking to my friend who built this computer for me.. So it's taken a shit ton longer then I expected! ::pants:: But It's been a week and some change and nothing else has gone wrong with the computer.. and SO.. I can finally get back to work. u.u Sorry for my absence and being in a black hole for 1 and a half months. Just.. Blarg! Glad to be back though.

Not been around much because the new hard drive on my new computer died. And in the middle of me doing lots of stuff. I had to go out of town for a week and leave my poor broken comp at home. Anywho... that fun is waiting for me when I get back. u.u

Thanks to a wonderful friend of mine who, out of the goodness of his heart and not even being asked to at all, built me a whole brand new computer, and a new 21 inch flat screen monitor! Has the internet always been this fast?! Hahaha! Oh man.. I had an old Dell from 2005 and a tiny 15 inch cinder block screen. Sai is one of the easiest to run art programs out there, and my old computer couldn't handle it sometimes. Blah..

In any event. . I hope this leads to new art to come! I've been trying the past week to get my old stuff onto the new comp.. It's all about getting comfortable on a new computer to start working. I'm there! And excited! The colors on this new screen is mega nice.

Goodness.. is it almost Valentines Day already? hahaha Already?! Can't it be Easter? I'm done with winter. Snow every week! (not normal in my area) and the cold.. ehhh.. I'll take cherry blossoms falling from the trees over snow any day. I hope everyone has been having a good new year!

Goodness has it really been 4 months since I uploaded a picture here? UG. Well,, last year sucked and I am looking forward to this new year being better. My mood is indeed better, and my artistic cravings is back again! Which makes me happy again as well. I left last year and I was very unhappy about it.

I'm still breathing. Been having some family problems with stepdad's death and lawyer craaaaaap. Aunt having to go in the hospital for operation, and followups with that, which requires me to not be at home cause I have to baby sit my two nieces while aunt is laid up. (hehe i know confusing huh? She babysits her daughters kids. Who is my cousin. But they call me Aunt Stephanie, so i think of them as my nieces instead of 2nd cousins) Now just found out my grandmother's not doing to well. It's like goodness. WTF! Anywho, i'm trying to get back into art when I can. Getting only 2-4 hours of sleep a day is just suckage. When I do get free time, I'm to tired to do anything.

Anywho..I hope things calm down after next week. But just wanted to say hi to everyone and let people know I'm still around.

So, I live close to the great city of Philadelphia, and nothing makes me feel more proud then when a tourist comes up to me and asks me questions about the city, to which i know the answers to. (Proud that my brain even remembered anything in the first place) But I have to say, there is one question I was asked.. that has always had me in wonder about something. I had a friend visiting me from another state, and i took him over to Philly to play in China Town. I then thought it would be fun to take him to see where Ben Franklin is buried. He is in a grave yard, next to an iron gate. You can touch his grave if you stick your hand in. So it's right on the sidewalk. Which is pretty cool) It just so happened that Obama was speaking in Philly that night.. and so A LOT of people where in the city. Obama picked to make his speech in front of Independence Hall. Since it is right next to where Ben is berried, I took my friend there to show him the building and such. (I didn't care about Obama really at the time) As I was standing in front of the building and taking a picture.. this cute couple walked up to me and said.

"So ok.. What is this building? I mean. Why is it so important? I don't get it" I looked at them in awe for a moment, then said..

"It's Independence Hall. Where the Declaration of Independence was written.. Thomas Jefferson, Ben Franklin, John Adams.. all signed it in there."

They looked at each other and then went "Oooooh ok! I get it! Thanks" And walked away. Now.. what I found weird was that they just didn't know about it. Growing up in South Jersey, all that shit was shoved in my face since i was a baby. So I know how important Philly was at that time, and what that building was.. but it made me wonder how much school's outside of my area.. taught it.

SO my question! Do you know what Independence Hall Looks like? Or would you know of it IF you walked by it. My friend who grew up in Indiana, knew it.. and was amazed the couple didn't. As was I. But now I'm honestly just curious.

Ug.. I've been so fed up with myself lately. I really think taking vacations and getting away from my work has a bad effect on things. Ever since i got back from a 2 week vaca, it has been extremely hard for me to fall back into things. Not to forget that events keep happening -all- the time here and I always have to go.. Which takes away from my time with art even more.

What pisses me off the most about myself is that i will never ever be that type of person who can just sit down and draw something fucking amazing without any effort. And do so, every fucking day. I have friends who do this, and it annoys me when i see them make picture after picture after picture, day after day and they always come out awesome. Where as if i want to make anything even remotely that good, it takes me 3 times as long, and i have to be in the right mood or even have my talent be working that day. Not being able to have this ability makes it extremely hard at wanting to be a pro artist.

Not only that.. but just everything i make.. sucks. i can't color anymore. I just am not doing good mood wise with my artwork. Maybe its just one of those down time moments all artists get.. but I honestly can't stand disliking my art this much. It makes me want to just give up and allow other people who are 50 million times better at this whole thing, just shine more.. I dunno. Im NOT looking for pity or anyone to pat my back. I'm venting my anger pretty much.

Oh its April. Not only my birthday month, but its also Sakura Season! i looooooooooove Sakura season. The trees here are in bloom for it too! I am soo happy for Spring. It's like taking an upper drug. Just lifts your spirits after the cold winter. And man.. what a winter we had here. over 70 inches of snow fall. Yikes, Most snow in a whole winter season. I will remember this winter so i can tell the youngsters when i get older "This aint nothing! In my day, we had 70 inches of snow!" hahaa

I hope the spring is finding you all in good spirits.. and to those who live on the other side of the equator.. uh.. enjoy the fall? hehehe. Fall is fun too! Though i don't know how much it changes the seasons down there..

haha ok not really.. but I'd love to say that ALL that snow has finally melted! WOOHOO! And I hope it stays melted! But if i know March.. i know not to hold my breath. April too. More art to come from me in this month. Yaay.
