It's been creeping into the five year mark since I last logged in, and honestly I'm surprised I still have any followers at all, hahaha

I recently (within the last month or so) quit the job that I had been at for the last seven years. It simply was too busy, with not enough willingness on the end of management to expand. I was doing the work of 2-3 people and I just couldn't do that anymore

Due to our living situation, my absolutely amazing husband is able to support us without stress

Which means more time for art!

It'll be a slow transition to get back into the swing of regular submissions, but I hope to start uploading things on a regular basis again. Personal art and maybe a YCH auction are to come within the next few weeks.

As I'm sure you all have noticed, I tend to have very sudden drops in activity for 1-2 months at a time. I've updated my profile information to better explain this

I may have mentioned before, but I work a seasonal job for a landscaping company. Because of that, my activity drops pretty greatly for our 'busy season,' which is Springtime (everyone wanting to get their yard projects going or maintenance plans) and Autumn (Final yard cleanups and sprinkler blowouts). I have higher activity during the summer when that 'rush' dies down, and winter time, when I am off work completely until spring time!

I hope that clears up some confusion that may have had anyone concerned :)

Hello Friends!

So I feel like I've been steaming over the Patreon ordeal long enough. I'd been waiting for dr!p, but I feel like that's going to be in beta for quite a while. And so, I'm trying this again.

My new Patreon is called Candy Box! It's furry centric instead of just general art, and I hope that more or less 'limiting' my content will help me stay on track.

Hey guys! Sorry I've been so quiet :] I went back to work in March or so and spring time is INSANELY busy for us

Like 50 hour work week kind of busy

So I've just been really tired and the stress kind of killed my art mojo

But with summer coming things have slowed down enough for me to catch my breath and get some inspiration back

So I'll get the stuff posted that I finished in that time frame, and will hopefully be a bit better about getting on here frequently again ;D

First off, I hope everyone had a safe and happy Holiday!

Next, the reason for this post. I will be closing down my Patreon, and here's why:

Late last month/early this month, Patreon announced that they would be changing how the fee structure worked to put more money into the creators pocket. However, the way the math worked out, caused this to be a huge impact on those that were pledging a small amount per month - an amount that many people did. While Patreon did later decide to not implement these fee changes, many patrons had already pulled their pledges, because the fee structure simply did not allow them to maintain this financially.

Patreon did send out an apology for the uproar this whole thing had caused, but through their initial explanation of how this new structure would work, a post had claimed something along the lines of that they would rather have just a few creators be highly successful than have many 'small' creators that just brought in a couple bucks.

Small creators like me.

While the apology was appreciated and I do respect the team for owning up to the poor decision, this comment has just left a really poor taste in my mouth and I can not get over it.

In addition to that, I feel that I myself am struggling to stay on top of it, or don't quite know what to offer to make the subscription more appealing. (i haven't had more than 4 patrons at any point during the 2-some years I've had it open) I do not want to paywall my art, so making certain pieces Patreon only isn't an option for me. I also struggle making WIP's an exclusive thing, because I get excited when I work on something and want to show, well, everyone lol.

Until something else comes along, I will see about working out some kind of rewards system for Ko-Fi donations (I am open to suggestions!)

I will not be pulling any of my Patreon pledges, so for creators on there, you will still have my support.

My motherboard was 5+ years old, and after we tried to put in a new graphics card, decided it was pissed off at existing and shorted out. Basically, my art and commissions will be delayed. We’re getting new parts - basically an entirely new PC - Tuesday, so I should be up and running again fully on Wednesday.

It’s unfortunately a large expense that we hadn’t budgeted for, so I’ll probably be throwing out some sales to get some funds back x.x

Hi guys! There have been some changes made over on my Patreon! Specifically, that in reward tiers. I have made some donation adjustments to make certain levels more appealing to both yourself and your wallet. Here's what's happened:

- The $5 tier is now a $3 tier
- The $10 tier is now an $8 tier
- A $15 tier has been added! This tier will give you one additional vote in the theme poll, a 5x7 hard copy print, and the Bronze Commissioner PLUS status! This status will get you $5 off of one commission per term, as well as one simple background at 50% off. These discounts can be combined!

Patreon is a fantastic way to support artists if you don't quite have the funds for a commission. Every bit helps, and most rewards are accessible for less than a cup of coffee per month.
