Urgent announcement for my commissioners.
Posted 11 years agoMy deepest apologies to my commissioners for the amount of time it's taken to get your pieces to you.
I've been spreading myself quite thin as of late, trying to recover from multiple, rapid fire catastrophes that occurred in every sphere of my life, and it's left me in quite a fragile state, but please know that I have been working on them with the available time I've had.
Unfortunately, the worst possible thing happened today. My computer has completely died on me, and I'm unable to access the hard drive to even recover files. I've lost the commission files, I've lost the Maya project files that contained stock for the Second Life store that I am in the process of opening to supplement my minimal income, I lost personal and irreplaceable photos, videos, etc.
Regarding my materials, my tools, my business, I have either lost, or been cut off from absolutely everything.
I will be doing my best to recover from this. Luckily, I still have my tablet, so if it is acceptable to my commissioners, I can restart your commissions that way, and get them out to you sooner. Otherwise, I must beg for either your patience, or help to speed this along.

About a month
Posted 11 years agoShortly before the holidays I became eager for a cintiq-esque tablet from Monoprice.com, linked below. Considering the time of year, and the fact that I had no Christmas list to speak of, (I was broke and unable to buy things for others, so I didn't want others to worry about getting me something) when my family heard whispers of my interest in it, they decided to chip in together and place an order for one on the 16th of December. Even though they will never see this, I just want to put it out there again how grateful I am for their goodwill.

Considering 90% of my creativity has been funneled straight into my education, I've held back on drawing anything that has come to mind so that I have a nice backlog of projects to use on the new tablet. "Hit the ground running", or a more so scientifically accurate phrase.

The second passed, then the sixth, and I had yet to receive a notification of the tablet's shipment, I decided to take a gander at the order form. Call to GamerFurs! - Champions online
Posted 14 years agoI'm wondering, have I just missed a group on FA dedicated to Champions Online?
Unsurprisingly, there are more than a few dedicated to WoW, however I find it odd that a Free-to-play game that lets you fully customize your character and give them powers that would make anybody weep with envy, has players scattered around FA, but nothing (from what I've seen) to bring them together as a cohesive (Super)group.
If anyone has seen a group give me a heads up, if not... I might have to create one
Also, I'm thinking of making a Super Group (read: Guild) in Champions Online to match... let me know your thoughts.

World of Warcraft account farkup/kick to the nuts...
Posted 14 years agoToday, I decided to pick up my old account of World of Warcraft and I found out a few things that shocked, enraged and saddened me...
For starters, since the last time I used my account (about 5 years at this point) it had been hacked and closed down by Blizzard because it had been used for cheating. (Oh, boy...)
A few hours after working with a lovely young lady over the phone to reinstate my account, I decided to download the 'WoW Armory' app on my iPhone and upon logging in I discovered that my old characters (all high level and with a massive number of hours put into them) had been deleted and replaced by a bunch of haphazardly named, lvl 1 characters of every kind... (even looking at them makes my blood boil)
To top things off, the main reason I wanted to restart playing WoW was to play the new Worgen race.
Since the last expansion I had purchased was 'Burning Crusade', I have to shell out $70 to unlock them. >rolls eyes<
So what started as an impulsive desire to have a quick bit of fun and may be a renewed interest in an old stress reliever, turned into what I can best equate to a swift kick in the balls...
I'm still a bit steamed over the whole ordeal.
Well, if anyone is interested, I'll be opening up 7 commission slots at $10/slot to pay for the needed expansions.
Please pass the word on if you aren't interested.

Posted 14 years agoI recently got into mask-making and I have to say, it should be illegal for the amount of fun I'm having with it!
I'm fairly certain there is a group of Catholic priests huddled together, walking around my block, using a cross as a dowsing rod looking for "the disturbance".
'Cause of course we all know the simplified cheat-sheet for Catholic dos-n-don'ts: 'If it feels good, don't do it!'
From the couple I've made already, people are loving my masks so much so, that I've already been offered a few commissions for player characters in the Werewolf the Apocalypse game I'm running, once I'm done with them, I'm planning to open for commissions on FA.
If anyone is interested, hit me up now to be at the front of the line.
I'll post pics of the masks when I've made a few and I'm happy with the final products.
EDIT: In case people are wondering, I'm making articulated masks (jaw/mouth/muzzle moves when you talk) and I'm making them with foam-rubber aka 'fun-foam'. I most likely will add leather as a material option at a later point, but right now I don't want to risk wasting a strip of leather should I make a mistake.

Back from my birthday trip!
Posted 14 years agoWent to Epcot on Sunday and Hard Rock at Universal's CityWalk on Monday.
I'm disappointed at Disney for having removed chunks from their rides, not to mention removing all the educational content and replacing it with animated videos of their characters spazing at you... Walt must be spinning in his grave.
Hard Rock was awesome though, as it was the first time that it felt like people acknowledged that it was my birthday, a nice change from the 'fluffy dog in a handbag' treatment my mum gives me. >rolls eyes<
Got nicely buzzed from a few mudslides and a few shots, then went back to Ike's sisters house where she made pizza, but I crashed out a lil too early to have gotten some :-\
Then today consisted of plans being thrown into a blender and sprayed against a wall, but WAIT! There's more! we were on a deadline to get the car back before they charged for an extra day, so everybody was freaking out and snapping at each other during the entire ride, Ike got nausea and I thought my step-dad was going to blow a vein when we asked to pull off the road for a couple, to let Ike's stomach settle... Yea, so all in all it was... I want to say fun, 'cause it was expensive as hell, but in truth the only time I enjoyed myself, was when we were at Hard Rock... Other than that, i really wish they had used the funds spent on the trip and purchased an iMac for me since that would be a solid investment instead of a short lived get-away with high risk to fall flat on it's face.

I need to buy an iMac to continue with my coding/testing for my games, but my funding was shot out of the sky thanks to unforeseen circumstances.
I'd like to offer up commissions for any parties interested in investing/donating towards my continued education and career!
The total I need to collect is $2,300. so I'm going to be hacking away at this for a while
Contribute whatever you feel you can and I'll make a piece deserving of the amount!
Ergo:
-Small donations (while still very much appreciated) will net you a sketch
--Moderate donations will set you up for an ink/colour piece
---Large donations will be worked on until they make me cry from sheer beauty!
----Substantial donations will set you up with the same as large PLUS you will be added into the "Thank you" credits for EVERY program/app made using the iMac, (serious bragging rights there) BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE! You will also receive a free copy of any apps/programs made and bonuses within the apps/programs such as lifetime subscriptions, and/or extra XP gain, increased funds collection and special/unique items/characters based on you!!! (Extras based on program functionality of course, no need for extra XP gain in a forum reader app)

Posted 14 years agoI feel like working on anatomy by doing a bunch of sketches, (a random few will be coloured too as I'm also working on tone and shading) but I don't want to draw the same small batch of characters again and again, so I'm offering to draw your characters (male only please) for free!
Most will be suggestive or erotic in nature and a few will have more than one character in it as I'm also working on group shots, so if you want a little something for your special someone, feel free to point me towards a reference for both characters.
Just as a heads up, I don't have proper Internet access right now, so I won't be able to upload them right away.
I will batch-post them to my gallery and leave a shout on your page when it's up to let you know.

The main features I'm looking for are:
Side-scrolling
Platformer
RPG style character growth
Nice sized selection of equipment
Good graphics (at least akin to Castlevania SoTN, DoS, OoE, PoR, etc.)
Large maps
The app 'Demon Hunter' fits my criteria (could be slightly better, but beggars ~ choosers)
Also, I'm sick of my 'Game Center' friends list being empty, who wants to friend up?

Unfortunately, I have until Sept 1st to come up with $100 to buy the 'Lifetime Subscription' for champions online! If anyone would be willing to commission me I'll gladly lower my price to $10 a pop if I can get 10 commissions or more! (extra money never hurt anyone, lol)
But if anyone would be able to pass out the work that I'm attempting to scrounge $100 A.S.A.P. via commissions it would be much appreciated!!!

Posted 16 years agoG'day all! I'm just letting ppl know I'm going to take some time away from the internet (unless it's job related) and working on my life and art. So I wish the best to all of you during my hiatus and hopefully when I return I'll have improved my style and re-energized my creativity.

Posted 16 years agoThis book has been raved about by an abnormally large number of people throughout my life and in my opinion everyone should give it a read. It's guaranteed to change your life for the better, BUT because I know the art of reading anything larger than a paragraph is lost to most people, it has been condensed by its' author to the core lessons.

If anyone would be willing to commission me I would be eternally grateful.
