Plot ideas
Posted 13 years agoOkay, so I'm dead tired and needing to practice my writing. Anyone have any good plot ideas?

Commission info
Posted 13 years agoHowdy!
If you've found your way to this journal, you might be curious about some things. Thins like price, do's and don'ts, or other such typical information like a waiting list. So let's get started!
Do's:
Almost anything. G-XXX rating, cute to fetish, and everything in between!
Don'ts:
Excessive gore, scat, hyper.
Price:
This is where I have absolutely no idea yet. Just getting started and not exactly sure how I want to pan this out. So in the short, send a note and it'll be a great deal! (plus you can haggle too :D)
What I need:
I need references for the characters involved, a plot idea or outline (can be basic or highly detailed, I can work either way). Send all of this WITHIN A NOTE! It's easier for me this way please. I also need at least 1/2 of the agreed upon price before I seriously start writing.
Trades:
Always up for art! :D
Requests:
Can't hurt to ask! The worst I can say is "no." ^^

Posted 13 years agoWell I figure I'm bored, currently have a bunch of time on my hands, and I need to practice my vocabulary and flip through my Thesaurus. So, starting today I'll start writing in my spare time. If anyone could be so kind and volunteer some basic plot ideas, I could get a couple stories up as a sample to get this kicked off!
TF2
Posted 13 years agoWhy do I even bother playing? (Asides the fact it's a kick ass game and I have SEVERAL thousand hours on it), people are dipshits!!!!
Yes, the spy and sniper can one hit kill....No, they are not easy classes to learn.....No you are not good at them......No you do not need to "train" when there are three other Spies/Snipers (or both) who are just as bad. No that doesn't mean switching to the opposite class of one hit wonders.
I am constantly amazed at the mindset of people who think "wow, two or three spies/snipers aren't working.....lemme be one and fix that~!"

Graduation
Posted 13 years agoAfter 4 short years, my track at Texas State is almost complete. A wonderful ceremony yesterday, I walked across the stage as a Baccalaureate candidate. It seems only yesterday I was moving into the dorms, yet now I'm moving out into the full world. 18 years in school has been truly amazing, and I only hope I'll be able to take the knowledge I've learned with me and apply it to make the world a better place.

Posted 14 years agoYet Another Small Rant on the Apparent Lack of Basic Higher Elevated Brain Functions Among the American Masses
One of my favorite past times I've recently found myself occupying lately is reading comments on news sites. Although I do read MSNBC (not my only source of news by the way. I am actually quite enamored with Al Jazeera and BBC.), I do enjoy reading the small spins that MSNBC injects into their stories. I find it is at least a somewhat decent news organization, but I digress. MSNBC is really quite nice as a way to see into the minds of various groups of people through the comments section and all I can say is "really guys?"
Case in point: There was an article today about how the US was pulling a naval ship away from Libya and the NATO operations were to assume full command of the military intervention. The top three comments posted right under the article dealt with essentially a time table for American involvement, more specifically "If America is to be involved, we should have a precise timeline of how long it will take!!!"
At this point I would like to issue a challenge for the masses: for anyone out there who is able to predict (not just guess, but actually be able to provide reasoning for the selected time) how long this war or any future armed conflict will last, I would like to recommend you join the military or the government. I will also pay out a total of one MILLION USD to said individual.
With that being said people, let's think for a minute shall we? War is tricky. War is deadly. War is dynamic. War has made fools out of many brilliant men and tacticians in the past, just as it will many more in the future. There is simply no possible way to determine accurately how long it would take to win a war, even if the odds are heavily in the favor of one side. Case in point, look at the American Revolution as an example. The British thoroughly expected to wipe the floor with the American colonies. They were THE world power with an empire stretching over 25% of the Earth's landmass, a highly trained and experienced Regular Army, the best Navy at the time and way more resources than the Colonies could only think of. Yet they still lost.
Even just based on sheer numbers it is impossible to predict. Training, education level of the troops, tactile abilities, adaptations to unique environments, all of these play key roles in determining the QUALITY of a State's (State as in government) that is not easily quantifiable. Even then, these are only advantages and does not equate to victory.
In a tired conclusion (as I cranked this out at midnight), I would like to pose another challenge to the American masses. Before you speak, before you say the first thing you feel in your gut, stop, ponder your thoughts. We need to begin our own critical assessments of our thoughts. We need to learn to think before we speak. It's not thought provoking, beneficial, or even possible to believe that anyone can put an articulate and meaningful answer to the question "How long will we be at war?" Rommel stated that war is nothing but chaos. Chaos follows its own rules.

Here goes nothing...
Posted 15 years agoHowdy!
Well I've never really been one to keep track of journals but I guess I'll give it another shot ^^;
Honestly I'm a little disillusioned at the moment. I turned 21 ten days ago and...iunno...it just isn't that big of a deal I guess. I'm just sitting around thinking "well crap...what now?" It's not like turning 15 or 16 you know when you get the sudden thrill of being able to get your permit/license and suddenly driving. The rush of adrenalin being behind the wheel of a vehicle on your own. The independence and freedom of all the possibilities that could happen just by pressing your foot down on the pedal.
A lot of people have said turning 21 was a magical thing (I also took it with a grain of salt from whom it was that was speaking to me). To me, there were many years that trumped it. Turning 10 for one thing. i mean come on...suddenly going from a single digit year marker to two!! That is memorable. First becoming a teenager at 13 was another odd period. 15/16 as already stated. 18 for the thrill of going off to college and the fear of the world suddenly crashing down.
I have also been reminiscing about my High School years a little too. I drove back home today and upon entering town a sudden wave of my life just flashed back before me. Noticing places that were previously undeveloped now a booming economic area. The restaurants and the local theater where I used to hang out. All the early morning practices and the after school meets for soccer and the geography club.
The question is usually asked at some point in an individuals life "If you could go back and redo anything in your past, would you?" I have been thinking about this a lot today, and after a brief meditation and in the process of writing this down I believe that I may have attained a starting point. I would choose to go back in time, but not to change anything. Overall I am quite content with my life, and I wouldn't trade it for anything. But I would go back, not for a mulligan or do-over, but simply to live it again. Sure there are many things I COULD have done differently, like come out as a whole and not give a damn like I do now. I could also have sat down my first real love and asked her to make a decision and not to leave me hanging like she did. Not to mention all the other things in school but I digress. I would go back, but only to relive, if only for a moment. The hanging out with old friends. the long projects and weird but cool teachers. The challenging courses and the thrill of being out on the pitch every Tuesday and Friday night.
Thus comes to my dilemma: I know it is better off in the past, and that is why memories are there, for us to remember the good times we've had and to build upon our future lives from past experiences. Despite being a junior in University at Texas State, despite continuing my life, I'm still a high school kid at heart. Not that I'm looking for parties or sex or anything like that. I just loved the atmosphere, getting to know people and thrive on a personal level. Out here...we're all just numbers. For work, for school, for politics...all just numbers. There is so little interactions where people try and get to know you.
So the question at hand: Do I force myself to "grow up", or simply keep searching in what could possibly be a futile effort? growing up will be the easiest thing to do. Fit in the system, become that brick in the wall that Pink Floyd so famously sung. But at what cost? The cost of killing essentially a part of who I am, the youth that likes to ask "Why" when confronted with a situation, the inner child who found gratitude int he most simple things, like hanging your paw out the window while in the car and letting the wind blow over. The choice must be made eventually, the die must be cast as I'm shaking them in my paws, but the thought of "growing up"...that may be the scariest outcome to land. To grow up, is a very dangerous thing....
Well I've never really been one to keep track of journals but I guess I'll give it another shot ^^;
