Unemployed and Look.
Posted 6 years agoI have a ko.fi account. Find it here.
Also, I have a GoFundMe... Which you can find here.
Any help that you are willing/able to give, including just passing this along, would be amazing.
I've recently lost all form of income due to being 'let go' at work for a bogus reason, and the world doesn't care. It keeps spinning, and my bills keep coming, but I have no way to pay them. If you can find it in your heart to help, that would be amazing...

Posted 12 years agoWell, here we are. So much has happened since the last journal. So much.
We moved out of my in-law's house last February.
Last July we found out we were pregnant when I went into labor. Sadly, we lost him. Good rest to you, my baby Lukas.
We've both lost our jobs. Our rent is climbing by the month. I finally got a job at the beginning of March. It's part time, but at least it's income coming in. Duryn's still searching.
Between losing Lukas and me getting a job, Duryn's mother came to stay with us. Let's just say I had to be put on anti-depressants and anti-anxieties while she was here. I'm better now, though.
I'm still doing art, traditional and pixel. I need to post here more. I'm sorry for that. I'm trying to post some stuff now, but can't seem to find my way around it again... Give me a bit. I'll figure it out. Then I'll post some!
Duryn made a new friend and he comes over regularly to play video games with Duryn. They're fun to listen to. Since my job involves me being at Walmart a lot, I get to hang out with our friend there during the day when we both work. So, it all works out!
Stick around! I promise you've not heard the last of Kenly!!

So, here we are, in NC. I'm not happy in the slightest. I did -not- want to move into this house... I don't want to live here!! I'm sick and tired of being treated like a child.
I was berated by my step-mother-in-law for burning an incense stick... I was quite literally told that they're not ready to have the house burnt down. Yeah, because I'm totally irresponsible...
Today, I was basically yelled at because my sister-in-law put the chicken in the fridge to defrost instead of leaving it sit in the sink all day. That's what the defrost function on the microwave is for. Not to mention, it's boneless skinless so no matter whether it's frozen or not, it's not going to take -that- long to cook...
I've been conducting an experiment the past few days... I've been sick since we got here, pretty much. The past few days, I haven't eaten any food prepared here unless I've made it myself. I've felt better the past couple days... Still visiting the potty more than I'd like, but it's better than it was. I would not be surprised in the slightest if it's because the fridge is filthy, and meat is left out all day, in the sink, to defrost. But, I can't say anything because what do I know, you know?
And she just won't stay off Duryn's case about finding work. Like he's not trying, or something. He's been calling every day to try and find something out. He's looked up information and is going tomorrow to inquire in person at another location. I don't know what the hell else this woman wants.
And then they wonder why I don't feel welcome here...
Other than absolutely hating where we're living, I do very much enjoy the area. That was never an issue. I enjoyed it last time, too. I just can't stand living in this house... I can't.

A Couch Is Not A Home
Posted 15 years agoI went with my non-biological brother’s wife (which, I suppose, makes her my non-bio sister-in-law) to the welfare office on November 22. Currently, she and her daughter are homeless. I’m sure you’re asking yourself why she and her daughter are if my non-bio brother isn’t. That’s a long story better left for him to tell. Just suffice to say he’s been stiffed by the authorities and now he and his wife are paying for it.
In the long and short of it, they have to have two house-holds until his 'durpdurp' councilor gets off his special-ed ass (no offense to anyone who -is- handicapped) and writes the paperwork he’s supposed to do. Due to this, she and her daughter are currently homeless because they can’t afford to keep two house-holds.
Anyway, I went with her so she didn’t have to go by herself. She’s got a job cleaning hotel rooms and her daughter goes to school two towns over. Maybe three or four, in all reality. I’m not entirely sure. She was late by 3 minutes on the 22nd, by the way.
At the welfare office, we were informed that she makes too much money by $200 to get cash assistance. Mind you, I did say she’s homeless. She’s been sleeping on my couch for the past… few weeks. I couldn’t see them sleeping in their car.
Speaking of car, their insurance ran out on the 19th because it’s 3 months over-due. Why? Because she can’t pay for it. They said they’d do a deferment on that, though. Bully for them (which they have yet to do).
Then, about a week ago, we had ice on the roads and she was on her way to work. She got into an accident and pretty much totaled her car, so now she doesn't even have that.
She gets food stamps (which they're screwing around with now), so they’re not starving, but that doesn’t really help when they don’t have a roof over their heads. She also has to see a mental health counselor because she suffers from depression. Hmm… Can’t imagine why.
And now they've taken her daughter away due to the fact that she has no stable home. My husband and I are willing to do the renovations to our storage room that need to be done to turn it into another bedroom, but we don't have the money to do so. As it is, we're having a hard time keeping afloat.
What I'm asking of you is to order a stuffed star from me for $10 (including shipping) each. The star will be made either by me, or by my sister-in-law. The money will go to help fix our home to give her a stable place to live, and by doing so allowing her to get her daughter back.
The pattern on, and of, the material used will be randomly chosen, so your star design will be a surprise!
I can accept Paypal and money orders. If you want to send cash through the mail, that's on you. We have no control over whether or not it will make it to us or not. I'm willing to ship internationally as well.
If you're able to help, and want a star, send me a note!
If you're unable to help monetarily, re-posting this is also a -huge- help!

Inked (in color): $15
Inked in black and colored: $25
Inked in color and colored: $30

If it is a doll you wish, it must be done on one of my bases, found here: [link] or you may choose one of the bases by Feymeggan, whom has been gracious enough to allow me to use her pixel work for my own monetary reasons, and can be found here: [link] .
Plushies
*you specify what you want, and I'll do my best to accommodate you.*
Right now, I am offering two size, Silver (large) and Gold (small). The heads are the same, regardless of the size doll you want. Gold dolls start at a base price of $15. Silver dolls start at a base price of $25. The price will go up, depending on detail you want on your doll.
Contact and Order Forms
Please, if you're a DA member and wish to commission me, feel free to either post it in this journal or PM me. PMing me will guarantee I don't loose it, though.
If you're not a member, please email me at kenlybop1(at)gmail(dot)com
I have no 'order form' for you to fill out because I want you to tell me exactly what you'd like me to do. If you're shady on poses, that's ok. I'll use artistic rights. Otherwise, please tell me as much detail as possible.
Extras
I'm willing to do almost any kind of character you want. I'm even willing to do adult situations, within reason. Each case is different, however, and all wrinkles will be ironed out in the discussion stage of the commission.
Payment
I must insist on at least a $5 down payment on your commission before I put any kind of serious work into it, however. Consider it a lay away fee. This guarantees that neither of us will waste the other's time, and if you decide for some reason, that you no longer want the art (or cannot afford it anymore) I've received at least a little compensation for my time.
Please add an additional $5 to the cost to cover shipping. Please add an additional $2 to cover the cost of paper and ink if you wish to have your commission done digitally.
Thank you all, in advance. I know a lot of us can't afford commissions and it's the thought that counts, but if you can, please do.
Also, if you need payment options, I can use a money order faster and easier, but if you can only do paypal, I have that, too.

New...
Posted 15 years agoSo, I'm also Kenly. I messaged the address I was given to reset my password and get my original account back but no one ever got ahold of me, so I just created this one. *sigh*
So, I'm back. I'll try to keep on top of this account. I'll also post some of my old art from my other account, to keep everything in one place.
Ok, that's all for now. See you all on the flip-side!
