Street Fighter (2026 Movie) - Trailer
General | Posted 4 days agoMy Current Status
General | Posted 6 days agoIt seems as though I've been thrust into a stressful time. It isn't easy keeping up with my art, and other projects, or my gaming backlog, or spending time with my friends and family, when it feels like my job is starting to close in on me. New hires are in the cards again, so the situation may calm down in time. But for now, I just gotta deal with this, no matter how stressful things are getting.
My birthday falls on June 4th, as usual, and I'm thinking up my list, though at this point, a chance to relax would be enough of a present. I am doing my best to keep on with my art, though I'd prefer to do things on my terms.

What I'd like to see on NSO's Gamecube service
General | Posted a month agoWith Pokémon XD having been shadow dropped today, and both Super Mario Sunshine and Pokémon Colosseum set to come out later this year, we've almost gone through the first batch of games promised for the service since the Switch 2 launched last year. But what comes next? Well, here are my thoughts on the matter. But first, some notes:
1. I'm excluding Pikmin 1 & 2, Metroid Prime, Tales of Symphonia, Metroid Prime, the Baten Kaitos duology, and Paper Mario The Thousand-Year Door, purely because they are already available on the Switch in some way (and perfectly playable on Switch 2), so adding them to the service would be kinda pointless.
2. Any licensed games must be within reason. While Quest for Camelot on the Game Boy service made no sense, having GoldenEye 007 on the N64 service did, mainly because of that game's popularity during that era.
So, as for the games:
-Billy Hatcher & the Giant Egg | I'm including Sega games, because Sega brought out some great games for the system. And this is a game I feel needs more attention.
-Custom Robo Battle Revolution | Speaking of games that needs more attention, we have this. This was one of the only game in the Custom Robo series that made it out of Japan, and I've been hoping it gets a comeback in some way.
-Lost Kingdoms I and II | Before FromSoftware made people rage over games like Dark Souls, they created a pair of card based action RPGs. Might be fun to see them.
-Mario Kart Double Dash | I mean, why not? The other NSO services have their consoles' respective Mario Kart on the roster.
-Mario Party 4 through 7 | Okay, admittedly, I'm wishing for these in place of a friend.
-Mario Power Tennis | Not only is it a fun entry in the Mario Tennis subseries, but that opening cutscene is hilarious.
-Metroid Prime 2: Echoes | I'm aware that this is considered the weakest of the original Prime trilogy, but excluding it wouldn't feel right.
-Nintendo Puzzle Collection | Well, they've put Japanese games on these services before. And really, you don't need to know Japanese to know how to play Dr. Mario, Puzzle League (Panel de Pon), and Yoshi's Cookie.
-Skies of Arcadia Legends | A fantastic RPG, that's been cut off from a lot of people due to some crazy online prices. Having it here could remedy that.
-Sonic Adventure 2 Battle | Often seen as the definitive version of the game, it would be great to see this game back.
-Star Fox Adventures | For many, this was seen as the beginning of Rare's downfall (they were bought by Microsoft not too long after this game came out), and it was never meant to be a Star Fox game at all, but it's still worth experiencing. Even if it's just for Krystal.
-Star Fox Assault | Not every Star Fox game needs to rehash the original game's plot, and this proves it.
A lot of this might be wishful thinking, but we'll just have to wait and see.

I'm sorry, everyone.
General | Posted a month agoThis will be the last vent journal I ever make.
Recently, I've been under a lot of stress. Work. Scheduling. Trying to balance everything going on in my life. It came out in a bad way. Through a journal I should've never posted at all.
A friend of mine, a very good friend, got the wrong impression of what I meant. He thought he was the cause of all of it, because of his requests. And I think it hurt him to read that now deleted journal.
The truth is that no one is to blame for my slump. No one is making me write this journal except me. I lost motivation because of me. I held on to all things I'd kept bottled up to avoid hurting my friends, only for it to happen anyway. And for that, I'm sorry. I will never vent again.

How it feels playing Pokemon FireRed
General | Posted 2 months agoGot this on Switch 2, and so far, I do not regret my choice. Playing this again reminds me of good times. Times before social media, political BS, doomerism, and a non-existent "culture war" kept trying to ruin my peace. I'm getting back my simpler times, and I'm all the more happy for it.

About my crash out...
General | Posted 2 months agoIf I made anyone uncomfortable with how I acted, I'm sorry. That being said, my opinions haven't changed. I'm not going to panic about Discord like so many others have, especially since it sounds like they're rolling back a few things.
Still, I would prefer my opinions on the matter be respected. I don't want to be looked at as a "corporate shill" just because I'm being positive. Just like with the now deleted journal, and that horrific comment. And frankly, I'd rather we drop the subject completely and move on with all our lives.
In short, I apologize for my bad behavior, but not my ideals.

Why I don't do complaint/vent journals
General | Posted 2 months agoThe answer should be clear. If I'm annoyed by them, then why should I subject my watchers to complaints? It's best to just ignore it. Though it'd be better if the complaints stopped. Then stress levels all over would go down.

General | Posted 3 months agoYesterday, a fire spurred on by high winds devastated an entire block somewhere within my home county. No one was killed, thankfully. But several local businesses were destroyed. One of them set up this Go Fund Me campaign. If anyone's interested.

Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic
General | Posted 4 months agoAre pets worth it?
General | Posted 4 months agoAnother of my family's furry friends has passed the rainbow bridge. Buddy, a rescue dog that had been saved from some cruel home in the past. Not all the details are known. He had a few medical problems, but he seemed to be holding on. Until today. His suffering had to stop.
And so soon after I lost Violet.
I've been wondering if its even worth it. These creatures come into our lives. We care deeply for them. Make them a part of our families. And then, before we realize it... they're gone. And it never gets easier.
And yet, for some reason, you never regret those moments. You don't regret that you've given them better lives than what they had. So at the very least, when their time comes, they will have at least known love. So yes. It is worth it. Even if it hurts.

I don't understand self-imposed Gaming Challenges
General | Posted 5 months agoNow, I understand that we all want to challenge ourselves every now and then, but one thing I refuse to do is play a game in a certain way that goes against the way it's supposed to be played. For example, Nuzlocke playthroughs of Pokemon games. Since Pokemon can easily be popped back up at a Center or a Revive item, I don't understand the point. In fact, it's always come off as cruel to me. You're basically abandoning a Pokemon just for getting KO'ed in battle, pretending that it's "dead". Doing these playthroughs doesn't make you a "hardcore gamer". It makes you a horrible trainer.
If a game gives me useful tools for me to use, I'm going to use them. I will use these helpful mechanics if I need them. I'm not going to nix them from whatever playthrough I'm doing just to feel "special". Play games the way they were intended. There's no reward for self-imposed challenges, either in game, or in the real world.

General | Posted 5 months agoForget what I journaled yesterday
General | Posted 6 months agoI was upset about a little glitch when I wrote that, and it started attracting the wrong kind of response. So, I deleted it. I don't enjoy rants. Especially when they end up as a part of my journals or submissions.

I will not waver
General | Posted 7 months agoThere are plenty of people who keep attacking two certain companies that I hold near and dear to my heart since childhood. These people blow their problems out of proportion just to make themselves feel better. I will not do the same. My loyalty will not change no matter what garbage social media tries to feed me.
I have enough things to deal with on a day to day basis. I don't want or need that ragebait slop in my life.
