I need money.

I'm officially trying to hardcore save for a Big Thing that I want to do HOPEFULLY before next year, so I need to save up some extra cash in order to make this possible.

With that in mind, I'm going to really try to take a crack at selling some character/creature designs.

I know I'm not terribly well-known around here so if ANYBODY is willing to pimp out my work I would be eternally grateful. ;u;

So I know I've been pretty much absent from here for a while. Guess I should explain myself a bit if anyone cares huff

Lots of crappy personal stuff been goin' on. Mom had to get some surgery and she's been sick on and off since and then last week my grandfather died very unexpectedly. Things like that don't happen often at all in my family (the last funeral service I went to for a family member was when I was 12 or 13) and my grandpa was one of my favorite relatives so this has really hit me hard in the gut. I'll be going to visit my grandma next week with my parents for Easter to help get the house cleaned up and all. I can already tell it's going to be a difficult weekend.

So yeah. I haven't really even picked up a pencil or my tablet pen to draw in a couple of weeks now. Just haven't had the want or energy to draw or do anything creative. Hopefully I'll get over this soon.

So! Some awesomely good news on my end to report!

After nearly two months of hunting and stressing and fretting I've finally managed to land myself a job. An honest-to-goodness job. It's at the blood plasma donation center just a little ways down the street from campus and I can easily take a bus/walk/bike there until I have enough money saved up for better transportation. It's full-time which means it comes with benefits (I'LL HAVE DENTAL INSURANCE AGAIN YAY) and my starting pay is 10 bucks an hour which means I can pay my rent and buy groceries without having to worry about it anymore.

I'm a bit nervous, I'll admit. I've never had a full-time position and it's just a new environment for me in general since it's part of the medical field. But at least I won't have to bring any of my work home with me and hopefully I'll still be able to hang out with friends and all on my downtime. And I know this job isn't going to be what I do for the rest of my life, I'm just working this until I can get to the Next Big Thing in my life.

Plus I will look damned adorable in scrubs. :B

So I've been thinking about trying to start doing commissions here like I have on my deviantart account, probably mostly quickish things for the most part at first. Also I've had some thoughts about making some creature designs to sell as adoptables, likely something bird-related.

I've still got to hammer out terms and prices a bit more first, but has anybody got any thoughts about this? Would anyone like commissions from me here? :U
