Something I’ve been wanting to do for awhile is reference sheet redo comms! So for commissioners from like…2+ years ago who ordered a reference from me, I want to offer a discounted price for allowing me to update my portfolio by recreating existing refs!

I’m thinking it would be 20% discount of current prices - the bare minimum requirement would be for me to “redraw” the equivalent of what was originally ordered. I.E. a fullbody, three headshots and an elemental shot. So on so forth. Additional add ons would be allowed, too, at normal prices to expand on existing refs.

I think this would be a great way to allow previous clients to stay up to date with my growing abilities.

I know a lot of characters I draw on regular that I’ve done the sheets for can really use a glow up. I crave to redraw them so much! >:U

I made a post about this on Twitter a week or so ago, and then another today. I no longer have FPL at my new house…the electric company didn’t bill me until just this last week for the month of July.

Which…is apparently a month where that specific company at least DOUBLED electric prices for everyone. So instead of a $250 bill I owe them a lovely $660 🙃

Commissions are closed as of last night! Anyone I’ve discussed comms with still have a chance to send me details though.

I am going to be sending people quotes as soon as I can within the next few days.

Currently I am busy moving houses this weekend, hopefully I’ll be settled July 5th and get wifi set up soon. Incredibly busy, please be aware of that! I am not ignoring questions or notes or anything, I’m just barely ever sitting down lol.

The house I’m moving to has been one of the filthiest houses I’ve lived in, so I’ve been nonstop cleaning for a few days, and I am exhausted so…bear with me.

If all goes well I will reopen commissions at the end of July or beginning of August. Reference sheets and animated icons hopefully will be available. Other animations, comics and detailed scenes are possible…if I get my queue down some.

Initially, I planned on opening those types this month, but...I am moving because the house I rent is being sold out from under me, and I have to be out by June 30th. And my mom has a spinal surgery on June 23rd to top that. I will be incredibly busy for the next two weeks, and probably the first week of July. These commissions will assist with moving expenses.

Also, for those of you who are currently ON my to-do list, I wanted to kind of provide a little update for everyone at one time. Classes started last month and have been pretty unexpectedly busy and unpredictable (pretty much...3 of 4 classes total have NO set deadline for assignments and are decided on a whim by the professors, it's great, I am suffering).

That said, I have been working on all owed artwork as fast as I can in my free time. It's been pretty good so far actually, I've been making a lot of progress. At the moment, there is no specific opening date in mind, because I would like to clear my to-do list before opening.

...with the exceptions of Patrons, that is, they always have access to buying commissions at any point, regardless of me being closed.

I'm mostly wondering cause I’ve seen a lot of animation comms recently and even simpler animation types (Ex: tweens, blinks, etc) are priced higher than I charge?? So I’m…wondering if I should raise prices on these.

Animations are one of those things I'm really struggling with settling on a price for. I know for a fact I need to raise my animatic prices, and probably full body ones too. They're very time-consuming.

I have always had my discord contact available for the public. I have now removed it from my profile ID. It is still listed on my commission price sheet for those of you who need to get ahold of me!

Why have I removed it?

I have gotten way too many friend requests (I have my discord set up so you must request to be my friend to dm me) since making it public on my FurAffinity. This may sound harsh but please understand that my discord is only for close friends and business-related discussions, like commissions or Patreon. I do not have the time for idle chit-chat or becoming someone's friend at request.

If you DM or NOTE me with "hi", "how are you?", "can we be friends?" or anything else, I will ask if you are interested in commissioning me, inform you that my discord is for professional contact only as a warning. I have had people return to me within the same day, week, or even an entire year later to start up the same thing. I will remind you, but I will also unfriend you and ignore future business inquiries.

I don't mean to be rude but it's very frustrating dealing with this. You don't go to a restaurant and ask the cook to be your friend, do you? No. Please treat me with that same respect and understand I have no interest in randomly befriending people, holding unnecessary and overly awkward conversations, or otherwise.

Just because I commission people, take commissions, and have dragon characters does not mean I have any interest in pursuing these interests with random people. I can have meaningful and important conversations about my interests with my friends, or even my patrons. Friendships and conversations form naturally over time.

So I just realized I have had Patreon for 3 years and in that span time have not uploaded a single Patreon reward to this account specifically for some reason.

For those of you wondering when I intend on opening commissions again, I've once again pushed back my expected opening date. I'm aiming towards opening around May, once this semester has ended and I am hopefully caught up with my to do list. I am slowly but steadily working on commissions while I can, and have been adding a few people to the waitlist.

Patrons are allowed access to my commissions when I'm closed.

Due to previous experiences, I will not accept commissions until after at least two months of being pledged to my Patreon have gone through. I appreciate Patron and commissions, but I don't want to have the only benefit of pledging to my Patreon...be getting access to my closed commissions.
