Posted 15 years ago*clears her throat* Ahem...seriously. Wow. Really. I go away from this place for like a week and I come back to over 300+ messages and alot of them are about: OMG I'M LEAVING NOW! THE SITE GOT HACKED! BYE!
*arches a heavy brow over one midnight colored eye* Um hello? This is the Internet? Everything is hackable the last time I checked. Emails, this site, any site, whatever. So people got hacked...shit happens. I got hacked last year...my email. Did I whine and cry about it? No. Yeah, I was angry, sure. But I dealt with it. I immediately changed emails, alerted who I needed to, and went about my business.
*Sighs* Yeah, yeah, I know. An email is different than a site. Sure. You can all just jump ship and run off with your little tails tucked firmly between your legs off to another site. What will you do when that one is eventually hacked? If one or others can hack this place, what makes you think the other places are more secure, hmm? What then?
And some might say, 'well, Khyrs, it sounds like you're defending FA'. Maybe I am. Inkbunny is alright, I guess. And so is SoFurry. As well as DA. I'm a member to all of them, actually. So you know, regardless of whatever site gets hacked, I'm a member to all. I'm not sticking up for any specific, but I don't really see the purpose of abandoning one JUST because it got hacked. Say all eventually get hacked, where will you go then?
I've had a shitty week and it's not getting better. So this little speech I'm letting out is actually rather mild compared to the rage that is seething within right now. All I'm saying to all of you that are going to read this, and there aren't many of you that really do...mostly because I'm not offering free shit or anything like that...just consider what your actions are before you just give up on this place. Yeah, I know it has its rough patches, but its kinda like a well-lived-in home: it's comfortable in a tolerable kind of way.
At least, it is to me. And that's how I prefer it.

Help Please
Posted 15 years agoI'm always trying to help out others, by either giving out the helping journal, pimping out another artist, or handing out a few bucks for a good cause, but now I need help.
That's right: the dragon needs some help. -_-
Here's what happened.
I started my morning off yesterday just fine. Went out, did my first appointment without too much problems, then went to my classes. Did my three tests in good time, felt pretty good about them, then went home. As I got out of the truck [own an s10 ext cab], I shut the door and heard *PING!*. I whipped around and there was my truck door, just hanging there, half off my truck. Panicking, I grabbed the pin that was SUPPOSED to have been in the top hinge of my truck door and spent a good 15 minutes trying to no avail to get the pin back into place. I hurt myself pretty good and only succeeded in getting the door back against the truck.
No, it's not fixed by a long shot. It still tries to swing open when I drive, but I need this vehicle because it's all I got. It will cost me $200. I have about $50. Here's what I'm asking you guys. Even if it's only a $1, is anyone willing to donate? I've never asked anyone before. I've done free art for people, pimped furres out and always tried to do for others....and never asked for a thing before. Please help if you can. And if you can't, can you at least post a journal to help? I would never ask this lightly.

2. Hold my interest. It's not as hard as one would think.

Day Two: Nine things about yourself.
1. I'm more broken than most I know. With all the health problems that I go through, a good majority of my friends don't even know a sliver of what is wrong with me. Probably because I don't want them to worry. On that same note...I'm a fighter and a survivor.
2. I have a terrible weakness for sugary things.... <---my downfall
3. Once you get to know me and I've accepted you completely as a true friend, I'm there for you through everything and anything, oftimes willing to give the shirt from my back or the last bit of change from my pocket for your happiness. Always an ear for your troubles, a shoulder for your tears, and smile (complete with joke or witty comment) to brighten your day.
4. Horror movies give me terrible nightmares -_- Yet I keep watching them.
5. I am more tomboy than lady. Not that I don't know how to or be a lady when the time is right, but I'm more comfortable rough-housing with the boys. I play football, street hockey, and soccer. I go camping, hiking, canoeing, fishing, shooting and hunting, and play on four-wheelers. I enjoy having airsoft gun battles with others.
6. I'm an animal lover. I see an animal in trouble and I'm usually the first to jump to the rescue. I do rehabilitate animals [not very often] and release them back into the wild if they have been hurt.
7. I'm easy to deal with and low maintainence. I don't require jewelry or expensive things. I don't require that the man spend loads of money on me. Just treat me right.
8. I'm a jill-of-all-trades and of none. lol I'm a mother, a professional cook, a mechanic to my own truck, a tech to my own computer [and sometimes others], a therapist, an artist, a singer, and many other things. The only things I CAN'T do is fly a plane or helicopter, dribble a football, and pee standing up.
9. I get scared, insecure, afraid, frightened, lonely, depressed, and anxious, just like anyone else does. Only I guess that I'm better at dealing with it and/or hiding it better than most people I know.
