Time for an update
Posted 12 years agoFigured it was about time I updated the journal post.
As my gallery might suggest, I'm kinda all over the map when it comes to creative work. I do it all - 3D / Animation / Texturing / Video, drawing, writing... "Jack of all trades, master of none" as the saying goes. Or, my preferred title, "Creative hack." Most of my better work - at least the stuff worth sharing - is on DA (http://kieve-krs.deviantart.com) but as I can't publish music there, my FA gallery here gets to be the source for audio output.
Games tend to be the biggest inspiration, either from the stories I craft around my characters, or the potential for modding in new stuff. Case in point, the Planeshift "Fenki" pinups started out as a simple texture mod for my own amusement, until I ended up on the dev team doing it in an 'official' capacity (a position long long since resigned).
I'm not out to be a popular guy on FA and I haven't done much artwork (furry or otherwise) in ages, but I always welcome comments, constructive criticisms, and polite conversation.
...and failing any of those, I hope you at least enjoy my stuff. :)

Site Compliance?
Posted 16 years agoAs per the update recently posted, I figured I would make a quick, broad clarification on the PlaneShift "tailored" screenshots in my gallery (as well as any future ones I might post). Saves me the trouble of editing each one.
-I'm the same Kieve from the PS development team, and did in fact create the textures for the Enkidukai used in my images. Hence my ability to use the base fur textures, for instance.
-The "screenshots" are not one, but several, cropped and imposed, and cleaned up thoroughly with photoshop, then further enhanced for effect, with such things as fur-brush smudges, lighting, and so forth.
I suspect it's readily apparent to anyone looking that they're not straight-from-the-box game content, but I'd hate to have to repost stuff over some silly guideline confusion...

Posted 17 years agoAfter over a year of lying dormant, I've decided to make some actual use of this account. I still choose to post my artwork over at DeviantArt, but the idea of having my musical compositions uploaded is too rich to resist.
