I'm in somewhat of a rough spot right now, my car needs a 1200 dollar repair to pass inspection by the end of February. And I've racked up a few medical bills. It would mean a lot to me if I could fill at least a couple slots to help out with these financial challenges.

2020 has had a rough start. Yesterday I had to get two fillings done, and there is a third tooth they are saying might need a root canal. This is on top of having to pay my car registration and inspection by the end of the month.

I hate having to talk about finances on here, and I refuse to consider these any kind of emergency commission. But it would help me immensely if I could fill even a few slots.

So my health insurance at work sucks. I had to go to an orthopedic center to have my knee looked at and xrayed, and I’m now on the hook for roughly $750 to $1000. Only two of the 3 bills have come in, hence the wide range. I don’t really have that kind of money, especially after missing a few days of work over all of this. So I’m taking commissions to help pay for the bill.

We made it home late last night after a 12 hour drive. Thank you for a wonderful convention weekend, especially everyone who stopped by my table to say hi! It always brightens my day to meet and chat with you guys 💖

For those that heard about my knee injury from Saturday night, I am happy to say that I’ve had it checked out and nothing was broken or torn. I can expect a short period of tenderness and reduced mobility and stability but I didn’t do any lasting damage.

I have a very short queue of take home commissions to work on, which I’ll be starting on as soon and this journal is posted. After my queue is clear, I’m planning to revamp my digital offerings and open for digital commissions soon. In the past I’ve offered small icons and badges, or fully shaded scenes, and not much in between. I’m looking into adding a flat color full body option that will hopefully fill in the gap. They will still be inked, since my sketches are just too messy to work as lineart most of the time.

This year at MFF will be my first time running a full table rather than a half! I will have prints, commissions, stickers, originals, and my usual dice and dice bags available. In order to help find the trip out there, as well as some upfront costs like purchasing supplies and merch to sell, I am taking discounted badge preorders for pickup at MFF, or to be mailed if you aren’t attending the con.

Badges are available in marker or digital, either way they will be ready to wear by the first day of the con, and can be picked up at table G2 in the dealers den.

[center]On our way out of town, my car started to have some weird symptoms. Got it to a car shop and found out we are going to need a transmission replacement. Thankfully it will be covered under warranty! But the bad news is that we will be trapped in Bako until it’s fixed, which may take a week or longer.
