Hey all its been a while since i posted anything here. mainly because i thought no one would be interested in the projects i was working on. I have branched out into crochet and after having been making scarves and dish cloths and the odd blanket I have finally got the magic circle mastered. Now what does this mean? it means amugurami! and a whole host of other things which I am going to keep secret for now! I am currently working on what I call project octopus. What is project octopus? well its a project i made for myself to get in the habit of coming home from work and sittinf down before bed for at minimum 1-1.5 hours and working on a crochet project. I can make an octopus in that time so my goal is to make 15 octopus not including the ones friends have already comissioned by end of the month! Well the beginning of this year I started learning how to crochet I started with a baby blanket and have been really enjoying it even though there is a learning curve and I had to tear the entire baby blanket apart and start all over recently due to a dropped stitch causing slanting edges. But hey I'm learning. I'm also making dish cloths now to practice my row turns so that I keep nice straight edges. And I'm really enjoying this Avenue of creativity. So I figured I'd make myself some goals cause why not? So by the end of 2017 I'd like to be able to sell blankets, scarves, dish cloths and similar and by 2018 I would like to be able to make animal ear cowls, toques, toys, and that kind of thing. I know it's a lot to learn but I think I can do it :3

Well this is a little late but this is the first chance Ive had to sit down and write about Fur Eh. Overall it was an amazing con got to see a whole bunch of friends that I dont get to see very often just because of life and thats really disappointing. Saturday Kenta and I got there early afternoon registered and wandered around till the fursuit parade then we checked into our room and wandered around a little more before heading off to a family dinner that had been booked 2 months in advance (was super awesome but downside was we had to drive just over an hour away for it). Sunday was mostly spent with Kenta wandering with some of his friends and me perched securely behind Dezu's Dealers Den table visiting with her. The rooms..oh dear while our bed was comfy and the room was "cozy" it was also very dark and dingy, the sink in the bathroom moved a lot and the shower head looked like it was about to fall out at any second, plus a layer of dust on the appliances. I do realize that upkeep is something that takes time and everything like that I feel that for the way the room was they wanted to much money for them. that being said I will happily book a room their next year so that we can keep on partying and not have to drive home and to store our things. Overall was an AMAZING con will definitely be there next year.

Life.. well not much new in life. Things are about to get hectic here at the farm as we approach lambing season (which technically can be any day now). We have 140 ewes to lamb out in a 2 month stretch...if it goes anything like last year it will be hectic and crazy and will have the first group of ewes lambed out in 2-3 weeks which will give us a moment to breath before the next group starts in June. Hurray! Should be an interesting couple of months.

Other than that not a whole lot new and exciting just making plans for the summer which honestly probably nothing to super exciting.

That sure didn't take long...one week of nice weather and BAM most of the snow is gone and the corrals are a sloppy mess which can make things interesting for sure.

To all my friends I promise I am still alive. I'm sorry I haven't been out and about a whole lot whether for skiing or just to come over and visit. Between Christmas and then 6 weeks of not working after that the $$ was a little tight still half assedly is as there are some big things my mate and I are saving for. I will try and be out and about and social this summer but may not be as much as usual. I am sorry for that but its only temporary. things will change. But I love you all! You're all so wonderful and great and I treasure all my friends in my life.

Wow what a year...full of ups and downs. But its been one hell of a ride and a whirl wind adventure. Wouldn't have traded it for the world (well some bits and pieces could kindly fuck off but hey what can you do) and if this is the way its going to go then I should be in for a whirlwind 2015 which I am really looking forward to. Long as I have  kenta with me I know everything will be ok. There hows that for a 2014 year in review?

We got snow here yesterday and today with more on the way. I'm excited for it because Winter is my favourite season. Not a big fan of the cold but I would still take -40 (as long as there is no wind chill...even -5 with a wicked wind is game over) over plus 30 any day (anything over plus 25 and i start to melt), as I don't handle the heat very well and I like to live by the motto that you can always put more layers on but once you are naked you can't take anymore off. Also excited for it because snow means that ski and snow board season is almost upon us. I have always enjoyed skiing just have never been able to go very often due to finances and what have you. Well this year  kenta and I went to the local ski and snow board sports show where I was able to nab the gear I needed so I wouldn't have to rent which will save me a bit of money in the long run! So super stoked to be going skiing this year even if it is just to the local hills and we don't make the mountains...Kenta said he would teach me how so that I don't wind up crashing into trees or snow banks like I have been known to do.

I'm not so excited for winter because my current job requires that I work outside, and while I love my job working outside in a blizzard doesn't sound the most appealing either...hoping we get an indoor job after this one for the winter.

So yes winter is coming..time to bunker down with my mate and stay warm with tea and cuddles and afternoons spent playing video games or watching movies. Time to brave the cold with my mate and go skiing when others would think we are nuts and then warm each other up. Time to just make some fantastic memories with my mate and to kick back and enjoy this beautiful, if not slightly chilly, time of year.

Whats all new in the life of the AuFox you ask?? Actually not a hell of a lot. I'm working in the construction industry again tacking a needed break from being vet tech was starting to burn out a little in the vet clinic world. So went back to working as a construction labourer for now. Will look at going back into a vet clinic next spring. For now gonna enjoy working outside and making some decent coin. Although gonna freeze my little tail off during the winter i can just see it now.. guess thats what I have  kenta for? Snuggles to warm me up...although he's not going to like the ice block feet I tend to get in the winter nor the mound of blankets that I pile on the bed to create the ultimate nest....and the fact that I can be a blanket thief...and a bed hog....Mind you so can he so I guess it works out. We are slowly getting his stuff moved into my place which is now our place I guess XD We've been doing a trial run of us living together since July and since it went fantastically we've decided to move the rest of his stuff here and officially move in together. Its a scary yet fun step in our relationship and I look forward to where things are going with us. So in short things are going awesome.

WOW what a blast!! Had a most excellent time while I was there. It was a nice small little local con. Was well run and the staff where helpful and friendly. The venue was very nice as well. Didn't really do much by way of panels unfortunately due to some errands I had to run on the Saturday and not being their on Sunday. But I did manage to hit up the BDSM panel with  kenta and do some dancing with him at the dance while trying to prevent him from over heating. Got to see lots of friends some i hadn't seen in a couple years or more. Was pretty surprised how many people greeted me and said it had been a long time and that it was good to see me again. The feeling was mutual. Got two amazing badge commissions while i was there as well, a inked sketch badge from  fwof and an absolutely fantastic couples badge set from  shinyshiningcat when i get pictures of them all I will upload them here. All in all was a very good con and it ended way to soon. Can't wait till next year. I can see this easily becoming a yearly event for me :3

What a game! The Seahawks pretty much dominated start to finish it's almost like the Broncos forgot to show up... At least that's what it looked like to me and I don't watch a lot of foot ball but glad I tuned into this one. Well deserved Super Bowl win by the Seahawks!

Well here's a little life update for those that care.

Things have been happening over here XD lots of new and exciting adventures in the works.

Just before I left for RF i put in my two weeks notice at my job (so it would tie nicely in with my holidays) had an interview just before we left at another clinic and found out just before we came back that I had gotten the job. So I am now working in a mixed animal clinic (this means we see some large animals like cows horses sheep and goats as well as small animals like dogs and cats) which is fantastic. I absolutely love it.

Seattle and RF since its so far past I won't do a long update. But I had an absolutely amazing time!! I am ever so thankful that  fuzz-wolf took me with him. I can't think of anyone else that I would have wanted to go with. We did everything we wanted to in Seattle and also took in some of the con :3 and had many awesome adventures.


My new job is an hour from where i currently live which in summer isn't to bad but once the snow flies it would be dicey so due to lack of rent in the area i am now working, I have purchased a house :3 I don't get the keys for a month yet and I have to be out of my apartment by the 31 of October SO my kitty cat and I are taking up residence in the clinic. Her in a kennel ( I'll make sure she gets time to roam) and I get to sleep in one of the beds we have upstairs for when we have vet students for a couple weeks, Very grateful that this is an option for me,

So as you can see its been a very busy month and some for me but also a very exciting month. I'm looking forward to the new adventures this will bring for me. Should be a good time :3

Its not funny when we have to sedate your sharpei for a nail trim after we have fought with him been shit and pissed on and had anal glands expressed on us, and have pulled muscles trying to restrain your dog. Its not funny when your 11 month old bernese mountain dog is trying to bite the vet and you are feeding it treats and when it needs to be muzzled and two people to hold it just to clean its ears. Its not funny when your 150lb mastiff growls and barks and half lunges at me and then drags me around the clinic because it lacks leash manners away from you. All these thing are not funny to deal with and yet we deal with on a regular basis in the vet clinic i work at. Its frustrating because the owners expect us to work miracles and do procedures on dogs that we can't touch let alone do anything with. Please people train and socialize your dogs so that we can do our jobs safely for both us and your pet
