1. What is the name of your fursona?

Cyan Nicholls Lupino. I think. His middle name might also by Nicholas. He only had a first name for a long time. Kinda like Cher.

2. Where did the name of your Fursona come from?

Well, Cyan comes from his eyes. They're very striking, and are intensely colored. I love the color and could star einto such eyes for days. Nicholls comes from SL, it's his "last name" and comes from the suggestion of my dear Shadow. And then Lupino... sounds like "lupine" and just seems to fit.

3. What species is your fursona and why did you choose that species?

Fox. Ask anyone that knows me and they'll echo that I am very foxy. I'm silly all the time, and when I was first thinking of what species, fox just 'clicked.'

4. What color is your fursona and why?

Kind of a light, creamy brown, with white fur covering his chest, abdomen, and crotch. He used to be dark brown, but that didn't seem to fit him, so he's slowly gotten lighter and lighter.

He's shy and reserved around others, but is otherwise silly, romantic, intensely caring and sensual. I like to think we're very similar.

Here's something I've been thinking about a lot lately. A lot of artist's use reference pictures, or so I'm told. However, having taken no real formal art training in drawing, no one's ever really explained what a reference photo should be, how you use it, and how close you can go to reproducing parts of it.

For example, say I wanna draw a person sitting down, but I don't know how the cloth would pull/snag/crinkle. I go online and find a picture of the pose I want.

What can and should I do with it? Can I look at it and then try to redraw the parts I need, or is that considered bad? What about using another artist's art as a reference picture when nothing else works (for, say, how to draw a good anthrohead or tail or what have you).
