Posted 14 years agoWe have pretty much come to the conclusion that we are not going to stay married, which sucks because the survival of this household depends a lot on his income.
Combine that with the fact that we are also filing joint bankruptcy and it complicates a lot of things.
Mostly, it just complicates my heart. :/ I'm sad.

starblade has passed on in a violent manner- attacked by a friend, I guess. Stabbed.
I didn't know him, but was familiar with the whole 'fuck you I'm a dragon' thing.
It's a shame he chose to live his life alienating everyone around him, and when it was too late, wanted to turn things around for the better. They say that those who die violently never truly find peace and stay around until they've gotten their vengeance. I hope that he does not have that happen to him and he passes on and finds peace.
As I said, I didn't know him, but it still sucks when someone dies... whether they were shitheads during their life or not. RIP, starblade.

People are -congratulating him- for being honest.
How quickly they forget that there's a handful of us now, condemned to a life sentence of medication and eventual early death, touched by this incurable disease all because certain people didn't want to come to terms with their habits or actually wanted to give it to others.
At this point in my life, I'm tired of hating him. He'll never get what he deserves- he's too popular. No one will file litigation, the law will not come down on him and he will continue going on and reaping benefits that should only be bestowed upon good people (e.g. guest of honor at cons, his own con, etc). Unfortunately, that's the way the world works.
In the mean time, my social and business life has been ruined... all because we wanted to warn people so they didn't have the same thing happen to them.
No good deed goes unpunished.

Posted 15 years agoI've decided to not only create a one-of-a-kind, never-to-be-reproduced boy book that an interested party can purchase, but I'm also going to make each image available as part of a digital portfolio!
The physical book will hold all 18 originals, affixed and embellished accordingly into a small scrapbook.
The digital portfolio will contain 25 images- all 18 original images, but then 7 exclusives!
This portfolio revolves all around the male gender, and contains not only pinup style artwork of boys, but also contains romantic interactions between male characters (read: gay/bisexual) that are tastefully nude!
Basically, boys kissing with boners. Who doesn't like that! :D
If you're interested in this portfolio, let me know, for sure. I'm finishing up sketch artwork for all the pieces right now. :)

I'm going to be working on the boy book, too- do you have a sexy male character? For $8, you can get your character in this one-of-a-kind, non-reproducible book! I will, of course, be scanning the artwork and whatnot so you have a digital representation of it.
The only catch is, you have to let me do whatever I want with your character (within reason- if he is ultra-manly, for example, I won't make him cross-dress or anything like that). If you are strongly against nudity, state that too.

1. Who eats more?
Me. I'm a fatty.
2. Who said “I love you” first?
I don't remember, actually. We just kind of knew that we loved each other and I'm sure eventually it came out verbally.
3. Who is the morning person?
Neither of us, though I have to get up at 7:00 every morning for work. Sometimes when he works 7-4 he has to get up earlier than I do, but we booooooth love sleeping in.
4. Who sings better?
He can't hum for shit, so I guess he probably can't sing for shit either. Never heard him actually try. I like to sing, but I don't know if I'm good.
5. Who’s older?
Me, by two years.
6. Who’s smarter?
Oh, him, for sure. He's a physics major and all that shit looks like gobbledygook to me.
7. Whose temper is worse?
Mine, for sure. I'm constantly in an irritated state (thanks, OCD/ADD) so I tend to be snappish.
8. Who does the laundry?
We both do, but generally he beats me to it on his off days.
9. Who does the dishes?
He does them as much as I do, but his dish-fu is weak; I do them much much faster (even though as a cripple, it's hard for me to do them, I've been trying to help him more)
10. Who sleeps on what side of the bed?
I guess it's the right side, regardless of if the right side is open on the side or against the wall. Right now, the right side is open (so sometimes I fall off).
11. Whose feet are bigger?
We wear the same shoe size, actually.

Usually his if he hasn't gotten it cut. ;)

We're both pretty much at the same level.

Merlin the catface (and his now-passed-on sister Dookie) was mine before we met, but he is a good cat-daddy. We got Piper the poopy puppy together.

I am wearing makeup to work today (and a red shirt, lol, since red's my favorite color and all I wear is black since a resident was like 'why do you always wear black!'), and now I remember why I never do this... as an eyelash is persisting into my eyeball uncomfortably.
I'm old and married, shouldn't have to wear makeup. lol.

Posted 15 years agoFor the past four days or so, I've had a meddlingly high fever, an infection in each ear, sinusitis, and bronchitis.
I didn't disappear on purpose, I promise- I've been having to sleep off my miserable contagion (especially since I work with seniors).
Due to this brick-wall-of-sickness, now I'm out the $60 for the doctor's office copay, the $30 for prescriptions, and I'm going to be out four days of pay as well (appx. $300, though I imagine after taxes it'd be closer to $250), so I am definitely much more in need of fundage, especially because we have bills to pay next week as well as having to get the renewal tags for my car. Let's not even -discuss- groceries.
I hate to keep begging on bended knee for money, but due to the on-call schedule, I can't get a second job (I've tried- gone to interviews and explained my situation, but it is too much of a loss to invest in an employee who can only be present 14 days out of the month and only in evenings and on weekends during those weeks, to boot). I know I've said this before and I really appreciate all the pimpage that's been going on- but again, if you know anyone looking to hire an artist, I will gladly do business with them. We're hurting for money so bad right now it's not even funny.
Thanks for reading, and I expect to be back up and running by Monday (though, not driving, since my tags expire this Tuesday, my birthday, which is officially the shittiest birthday ever).

This is something we just don't have right now, nor do we have available credit to use for this.
I can take some commissions in hopes that I can raise enough just to pay this. I am still trying to save up for moving, but that goal is further off in comparison to renewal tags due in two weeks.
Please consider helping out or pimping this to your friends; I would greatly appreciate it. I have never been in a financial situation such as this, and I'm just not sure what to do anymore.

Usually, how it goes with me is that if you commission me, I generally do some sort of freebie as well, though the freebie is always my choice and is what inspires me at that time (though it would be of your character). It is almost always the same media you choose (e.g. traditional or digital) to save on shipping costs, but sometimes I deviate (see Nate and Sarah's icons, and then their thank you badges).
Even if you're not looking for big items, which I understand, I have a LOT of items that are under $10-- and hell, even quite a few under, or very close to, $5.
