Midyear Report?
Posted 16 years agoWell, my second annual Anthrocon visit is over with, so it's back to reality.
And the reality of it is, I'm getting kinda tired of not making anything of my life. Sometime here in the second half of this year I intend to get working on starting up an animation studio... I dunno if anyone's ever heard of a fellow named Neil Polenske (I know Rafe actually heard of him, which was surprising for me to hear), but he had a concept for an animated show that was so totally awesome no studio would be sane enough to take it. I want it, though. ;)
Anyway, pipe dreams aside, one thing I wanna do for next year's AC is to put some of my artwork into the Art Show auctions and see what happens. I've got a preview of one piece up right now; check it out and say what you think. *shrug*
Greg's also trying to get me to go to FC this year, but I don't think I'd be able to make it right now. We'll see, but I'unno. *shrug • 2*
Other'n that, I'm just stuck in contract labor hell still. =\ I'm getting along, I just thought I'd've made something of myself by now, really.

ARTIST SEARCH
Posted 16 years agoWell, you seem a good group of guys... gals... and various androgynous types...
Anyway, I don't know if any you know or care, but I haven't been the artist for Steve and Mac for goin' on a while now... stuff came up in my life and I decided to just take a step back and let someone else helm the art duties. I think Philip's still gonna let me write a little with it, but he's taking more control in the same way I took more control with Comicarotica.
NOW.
That aside, the artist that he thought we had found to replace me has since... disappeared from the face of the Earth. :o So we're artist-less again. Another guy was interested too, but when he found there was no money in it, he dropped out of the running...
So, what I'm asking (for him) is... if any of you guys, or someone you know might be even remotely interested in replacing me as SMac's artist, you're welcome to give me or him a ring at our "steveandmac" gmail address. You can find our website at http://steveandmac.comicgenesis.com/ or steveandmac.com (if it's still active... I forget when the registration's supposed to wear off). All the art has been done by me, but it doesn't get even halfway decent until about six months ago. If you think you can approximate that style, or improve on it, that'd be a great plus. =) It's not anthro' though, Philip's a bit of a furaphobe (despite the fact he "hangs" with me so much =P ).
I don't plan on making anyone redraw our archives, so don't worry about that... and ummm... I guess that's basically it. We're just desperately in need of an artist 'cause we've been dead in the water so long, and Philip can't come up anything himself. So I'm lookin' to you guys for some help.
Help?
