Updates: Apartment, Dog, FWA, School and Work
Posted 15 years ago10 years ago i vowed i wouldn't become a manotanous drone... I failed. my life currently consists of those five things listed above with some spontaneous gaming sprinkled in to keep me from going postal on everyone i meet.
The new apartment has been great, if not ... dirty. But who has time to clean anymore. it's so over rated. the dishwasher has been washing our dishes with dirty water so there's that. but over all the apartment has been great.
Nami is still crazy, if it fits in her mouth she'll eat it but at least she isn't eating poo anymore. she went for her first groom and did excellent. but you should have seen the face she gave me as i was leaving without her.
FWA is right around the corner and this years game room is going to big, better, and all around more awesome then ever. I have effectively gather the entire staff (or at least the important ones) as my offical underlings in the room. We have more games then ever and we're even going to have an actually munchkin tournament, with set times and everything.
School has been kicking my ass as usual. Comparitive vertabrate anatomy is just as bad and everyone told me it would be (hurray for memorization) and it doesn't help that i'm also taking conseptual classes (animal behavior, botany, and ecology). 12 hours my ass.
Work as been the suck recently but what else is new. Someone drove into the dining room the other week when the road froze over so we were closed for a while because of that. but really it's been boring so yeah.

3 Months of Pure Hell (so not bad overall)
Posted 16 years agowow i can't believe it's been three months already. So much has happened i'm not even sure where to begin. Over this semester has been hell. Between 12 hours of classes monday through friday, 12 hours of work three days a week, and social obligations that have kept me driving all over atlanta i've been pretty busy.
But compared to the rest of it, this last week or so has been by far the worst, best, craziest, happiest, sadest, strangest week of all. I'll start with the low points:
1) In a matter of five days my parents house was broken into, their online bank account was hacked, and my grandmother past away.
2) I'm moving to a new apartment on the otherside of atlanta, dispite everyone telling me what a bad idea it is.
3) I had six tests in ten days (1 in biology, 1 in organic chem, 1 in physics, and a final in each)
but dispite everything the highlight of my week was today.
I went to the humane society to look at this dog i have been pondering over for weeks, and, after five years of wanting to get a dog, i filled out an adoption application. It was the most thrilling, scary, wonderful, craziest thing i've done and I can't wait to bring her home.
I have to apoligize to everyone for not being available this semester but I'm back now MWHAHAHAHAHAH *COUGH* *HACK* *WEEEZE*... and i'm better then EVER!!!!!

Posted 16 years agoSo i picked up the soundtrack to Where the Wildthings Are for five bucks. I figured it couldn't be that bad with Karen O doing it... It was strange at frist but it's growing on me. I'm really excited about this movie and can't wait to go see it.

School has been kicking my ass this semister (as it most likely will every semister from now on). I've been finding that I have very little free time on my hands and i have to admit the time that I do have, i put to good use with things like... i don't know... eating, or sleeping. Anyway I have to go to my second test today so i'll talk to you all again soon. I hope.

1) I strongly believe in Fate, because of this i'm a very passive easy going guy. Don't fight the current of life, dude.
2) Without a microphone, i'm pretty much tone-deaf, but i love to sing.
3) I consider myself intelligent but i have motivation issues. I'm a horrible student but a quick learner.
4) I had open heart surgery when i was five to fix a hole which i was born with between two sections of my heart. As of 2003 I've been given a completely clean bill of health (at least in regards to the surgery).
5) I'm not a very frugal person. As a result, I'm perpetually poor.
6) My favorite game of all time is a game for the Playstation one called Suikoden 2. If you haven't played it yet you should. and no, you can't borrow my copy.
7) I'm a very stubborn person. I'm wary of change but i'm quick to adapt.
8) Despite my outgoing nature, I am currently fighting cronic depression. I have varying periods of highs and lows. I've been on a record long high. This is a good sign.

Posted 16 years agoI'd just like to take a minute and thank the few people who have been reading my story. I really do hope you enjoy it because i've really enjoyed writing it. I know i'm not the best writer around but you can't get anywhere without pratice. I'd also like to give myself a little pat on the back for sticking with it for so long, usually by this time i've already moved on to something new and completely forgotten about this project. I'd just like to thank you for your continued support it really makes putting all this effort into it worth while. Special thanks go to Beowulf, my muse, and Subito_Kurai, for all the posts.

Posted 16 years agoI am unique. and before i sound to much like I'm beginning yet another self-help session. i just want to point a few things out. I am like the ultimate groupie. I first noticed this in high school when I realized i had friends in almost every clique. But i didn't really belong in any of them. i was a jock or a goth or computer dork but i had dabbled in all of them. A real jack of all trades if you will. Well i'm starting to notice a similar pattern here in the furry fandom. Now i realize that we here in the fandom are above cliques but I have artist friends and writer friends and friends who host fur cons but i don't (and honestly can't) do any of the above.

I'm available and looking for a mate.
I'm not just talking about a sex buddy either. Like I said I'm not very good at this but I do know one thing. I'm tired of being the third wheel. I'm tired of doing things with couples. And I'm tired of being alone.
So thats that. From this moment on. I'm going do be doing myself a favor and taking more chances on love. I'm not going to be afraid of leading people on and i'm going to be more direct.

Posted 16 years agoSo as you may have noticed this week's music icon is The Bravery. I'm hooked on them because of a certain bears mixed cd. I really like their earlier stuff like "the ring song" and "no brakes", but they kinda feel like a guilty pleasure since they have such an emo undertone to their music... not that theres anything wrong with that. just personal opinion.
Dinner Update
Posted 16 years agoSo i made dinner last night. Turkey Taco Salad with chips, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, sour cream, and salsa. For dessert i made cherry pie. My roommates did nothing but complain... I need someone who can appreciate me and my cooking skills, even though i am still just learning how to cook better. I also want to buy a grill. I have three more pounds of ground turkey and i'm thinking turkey burgers. Of course one of my roommates doesn't like turkey burgers so I'll have to make some bubba burgers too... *flails*
