A lot has happened. First off I am working. I am working full time as a delivery person. So fun? I guess >.>....
I also am working on some different ideas as well as the artwork for the TFF winners. So do not worry y'all! It is coming I promise!
And well last I suppose worth mentioning. I am starting drag, yes being a drag queen. I have talked to quite a lot of friends about it. I found a few bars in town (San Antonio) where they have amateur drag competitions. I have no worry I won't win. I can lipsync a house down and dance and perform like any drag greats. Also having the make-up work I have done, I know how to beat my face. It is just getting the wigs, make-up, and heels, and I have been saving for it. My mother knows and surprisingly enough wants to come watch. If it goes well, I do plan to audition for RuPaul's Drag Race at a later season time.
Also, my drag name is Genna Cyde, and my drag sister who is doing this with me is Betty Rage. So if you see those names. We have made it big lol.

So I thought why not have a meet and have some friends over?
This will be at my house, will start at 7 (if you wanna show up earlier that is cool, just let me know so I can plan store trip accordingly) and will end at no certain time...basically till everyone leaves, and will be open to all. If you want to come, please post on here so I can get a head count, and if you HAVE NOT been to my place, please PM ME so I can give you my address.
I will have some crash space, a lot of floor space if you have a sleeping bag or inflatable mattress, and a couch spot or two. Those will be first come first serve.
SO now to the fun things :3
I have a big backyard, a trampoline (with net so no one SHOULD fall out...I am sure it is not impossible >.>), a big screen TV and Xbox with Netflix and Time Warner with all the on demand channels and such. Hookah, and more.
This will be a potluck, so you are free to bring something (sodas, chips, homemade stuff) or you can donate like 5-10 bucks for a store trip and I (and anyone else who can and wants to) will cook up grub in the kitchen. Or if you have a portable grill, because I think ours does not work.
Now the bummer:
This is not 21+, so if you can't drink. I will not allow underage people not to drink. Even I will not drink as I am only 20 and my 21st is in January. If you drink, I will ask you not to drive home, and either crash at my place, or prove to me you are sober and can drive. I want you all safe.
And my personal stash is off limits at this meet lol. That is all for my 21st hehe.

Posted 13 years agoSo I have new artwork to post....but I can't...and haven't been able to for the past few days as I keep getting a 500 Error Message....so I will post it when I can. Just a heads up, also, open for commissions still if anyone wants any. Helpin a woof stay above water till he can get into a living wage groove lol.

An important message to pass on. (Please Read and Share)

I have a request that you watch this video, share it on here, and share it on any media site you are on if you enjoy the video, and believe it is time for us all to be equal, no matter your race, creed, religion, nationality, or your sexual preference.
This video is the beginning stages of a documentary by Ryan James Yazek, who is the director of a few music videos on youtube, and is also the Monday host of Youtube's Gays Of The Week.
The documentary is called Second Class Citizens, and is about the discrimination against those in the LGBT community that goes unseen by many people. And about the Gay Rights Movement and how it has come this long way.
This means a lot to me, not only being a gay male, but also being a living human who feels emotions for others. It means a lot to me, because I love, and I don't want to be told my love is "unnatural" or "a mental illness". Nor do I want the love of any other human to be told the same thing...
Many young people have committed suicide, others murdered, others living in depression over thinking they are not a real person.
Ryan himself was looking for donations to raise 50,000 dollars for his documentary, only 1/3 of the total he needed, with 50 days left, the donations are now up to 102,000 and I feel they will reach over 150,000 and have the entire documentary paid for by those in the LGBT Community, and those who love them.
And now as to why I care so much, I posted this video on my Facebook, just hoping to get it started to get shared, and talked about. But then I got 1 comment from the video share, from my grandmother...my nana...who posted on the video to tell me she had donated 250 dollars to the cause in my name, because of how much she loved her grandson...and I cried. I did, and I thought about it, and I take for granted how well my family takes my life, me being gay, me being a furry...they stand by me through everything, and I am so very grateful and thankful to have that.
But other children and people don't have the support of thier families, or loved ones, they are abandoned. And I want to see that end, I want to see every child and person loved for who they are, and not tossed aside like garbage for being gay, or being different in any way.
So. If this is the only journal you ever read from me, and you share this video, I will be happy someone is helping this along. If you share this video, you are trying to make the world a better place for people. If you donate to the cause, you are a great person, and I thank you deeply, I also thank those who can't donate, but share the video to others who might be able to.
We are people, we love, we cry, we smile, we laugh, we bitch, we whine, we have fear, we have jealousy, we have empathy, we care, we try. We are all people in this world, we are all equal. No one is a second class citizen, and no one should be.

So Christmas and New Years are Over
Posted 14 years agoAnd work is finally starting to slow down. A good time for me. So I thought it would be time for an update.
So firstly.
and I are no longer a couple. It ended on fine terms. We are both still very good friends, and no bad blood is shed. So it went much better than it could have.
I spent Christmas with no one really. A friend from work, and saw at his work.
Spent New Years with

. And as always fun times were had.
So with the new year, I am redesigning Kou, and going to hopefully be doing much more art. Always open for commissions and such. And I have a few projects in mind.

And now off the Caps Lock Highway. I am sorry to everyone who watches me who hasn't seen alot of art or anything from me. Life was hectic with my job and all...but I "quit" Godiva Sunday, and NOW I am moving onto Build a Bear starting today actually. I will be at the BayBrook mall location as part time manager. It means more money per hour. and hopefully more free time for art.
I have done a few sketches, but since no comp that will let me use my scanner....it has to wait. Maybe I can burst into Rika's place and use her comp to do it....OH WELL! ANYWAY OFF TO MY FIRST DAY OF BUILD-A-BEAR I GO!~

Moving tomorrow
Posted 14 years agoTomorrow demens and I are moving into our new apartmet. Hopefully getting out of our current rooming situation with what is beyond a dick of a roommate...I am hoping this will put alot less stress on demens and myself, and hoping more art and crotchet gets done. Since everytime I would start, the roommate would just come in and bitch at me about anything he could...mainly making stuff up about demens.
So that all ends tomorrow! I am excited, and can't wait to tell him to shove it up his ass. Oh I have been waiting for this day~ And when Internet comes back and we get that all set up. I hope to have some art pieces done to post :3

Sorry about the flood of work today...
Posted 14 years agoI am very busy at work right now being only one of 4 people in employment for the kiosk, and one of 3 key holders. So I am working practically everyday, all day. So I don't have the time to post like I would like too...
But today I was off, slept in, and just decided to post them all at once. I posted both contest winner sets, so I am sorry about the wait everyone.

I am moving soon, into an apartment with grimwulff and it will be just the two of us, and I am trying to get a new computer so I can go into digital art again with my tablet and stream and such.
I have a few art books I am reading right now. Both erotic and not in nature.
So I am very sorry about the flood of submissions if it annoyed anyone today. I try and refrain from doing that as much as I can. This will hopefully be a one time thing. So thank you for your patience and once again, sorry if it annoyed anyone.
But today I was off, slept in, and just decided to post them all at once. I posted both contest winner sets, so I am sorry about the wait everyone.

Posted 14 years agoOk well, I am liking my sketching so far. And I thought about it...and I listen to my iPod almost overtime I draw, and it seems to be my Muse. The song changes how the art feel for me. So here we go.
I will be looking for 10 people as of now. Comment below with "I wanna win" somewhere in the comment and you are entered. No problem, super easy. Now I love my friends, but I don't want just y'all winning. So if you wanna post a journal advertising, please do! The more entries the better. But, the journal is NOT necessary to enter.
You can enter till tomorrow (May 26th, 2011) up to 12pm central (or midnight). I will then count all the entries and use a random number generator to pick the winners.
Now this is not a free you chose sketch. If you win, I will draw you, yes. But, I will have all creative control and it will be drawn while listening to my iPod on shuffle. So your character will be drawn, just only how my brain decides to while the song is on.
So now a quick overview:
Just comment I wanna win.
I will count the entries (1 entry per person).
I will use a random number generator to pick the 10 winners.

I've been keeping up with it!!!
Posted 14 years agoSo I HAVE been doing my one a day drawings. So I have like 15 or so to upload...Which will result in a sea of submissions!!!
I also got all but one done for my movie quote winners.
taigitsune is the only one not done, because I will do it in front of him next time I see him.
Life is good. Some problems here and there, but that's life. We take the punches and keep rolling for the good times! Been hanging with rika and some fun lil things with her may be in the works. Who knows! "Peckers" is in the works. An 18+ just for fun comic I am working on. Got a writer friend 
lavin to help me write it. It is just because I want to do it, and more will be posted on that later.
It is summer! I hope everyone is wearing sunscreen and all, I know I need it, being pale as a ghost, lol. I will doodle some summer themed things soon.
I miss my tablet :( But, I'm not buying SAI till I get a new comp that I can use and can stream/play some games on or whatever I choose. But, drawing on paper brings me back to my old days :3
So that's it for now I believe. I'm alive, healthy (though a little pudgy), and my job is getting better. So no complaints, and I hope everything is looking up for everyone else :3

My 365 Day Challenge
Posted 14 years agoSo to keep my art skills toned and ever growing. I have decided I will draw 1 thing (at least) every day of the year. Holiday, Vacation, Family Tragedy. I will draw something everyday. This will not mean it will be posted everyday. I may upload a few every couple of days. But each one will be signed and the title will have the number of the day. 1 to 365.
Practice makes perfect and I want to keep my art style ever growing and getting better. So I thought this may be a nice self challenge for me :3
Now why I draw could simply be a pencil or digital sketch, to a completly colored piece. Just depends on my mood and work. Which I just got a small position promotion and start my training today Monday, the 25th.
These coul also be commissions I do, gift art, contest winners (working on now actually). Just something I happen to draw that day.
So my first will be posted today...
[Day 1] - Drew something! Got home super late for work. So it will be posted with Day 2 on the 26th. :)

Small update journal.
Posted 14 years agoWell last night I went to a party with rika, noctome-wulf, taigitsune 
kayote, 
jalean, and of course grimwulff for Rika's Birthday, and it was an absolute blast :D
and onto some updates.
Working two stores for work right now, because the Galleria needs emergency shift takers since thier manager left. But, it's more money :D
I have to buy Sai so I can continue digital art. So I will only be doing traditional art for right now. But it's still art after all!
I owe art to people! I know I do and will be starting them as soon as I buy Sai, or will do them traditionally. I have the list of the Movie Quote winners, and I owe my 5000th page view winner art. It will happen I promise!!
Thinking about saving up for a PC. The one I have now works, but it is rather old. And will do nothing, but suprisngly let me draw. Otherwise everythig else crashes when I try to start something lol. I use my Ipod for everything.
And I think that's it...*flips through his notes* Yea, that is all. Only other thing would be looking at going to Oklacon in October, but a very big maybe as of now.

I have to buy Sai so I can continue digital art. So I will only be doing traditional art for right now. But it's still art after all!
I owe art to people! I know I do and will be starting them as soon as I buy Sai, or will do them traditionally. I have the list of the Movie Quote winners, and I owe my 5000th page view winner art. It will happen I promise!!
Thinking about saving up for a PC. The one I have now works, but it is rather old. And will do nothing, but suprisngly let me draw. Otherwise everythig else crashes when I try to start something lol. I use my Ipod for everything.
And I think that's it...*flips through his notes* Yea, that is all. Only other thing would be looking at going to Oklacon in October, but a very big maybe as of now.

Posted 14 years agoWell this upcoming week I'm going from getting 36.5 hours at work to 11.5...but it's also kind of good since I will have my new desktop. And hoping everything goes well I will have everything switched to it from my laptop.
So, to help pass the time. Anyone want a $1 dollar digital sketch? It'll be a detailed sketch and not just a skeleton. I just need to keep some money comin in somehow :P

Posted 15 years agoSo as of now, my laptop seems to be dead. There's a problem with my monitor, that basically makes it to where I can't use it. May get a desktop for my birthday (which is this month coincidentally). So if demens can fix my laptop, then awesome. But as it looks now, it's gone.

Posted 15 years agoSaw Burlesque with Christina Aguilera and Cher today with some friends, and OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG I loved it. Got the soundtrack as well, loved the music. It's definitely a must see if you like musicals, dancing, burlesque, cabaret, chicago and so on.
So expect some Burlesque themed art coming out soon :P

FF update~
Posted 15 years ago grimwulff pre-regged the other day and got our hotel room reserved. So I will be getting my registration done as soon as I can (within the next 2 weeks). So it seems I will be there, and might be helping a fur I know, I'll check with him/her when I do pre-reg for sure to make sure it's going on still.
But anyway~ I can't wait for it. I get to see friends, help friends by buying their awesome books and art.
So who all is going or planning to go to Furry Fiesta 2011? Oh! (And I'm going to try and do some art for the conbook if I can get it done fast enough)

Posted 15 years agoOk, I'm not going to go into this long depth of how the con was, just a quick overview of my time. Soooooo begin.
Ok we got there thursday after noon and to my surprise quite a few of my friends were already there. The day started nicely with a trip to Ghengis Grill, and just general boringness when you're staying at a hotel with no event going on. Then as the con started things picked up, things to do, to see, to smell (though not all of those were good >.>), and so on and so forth. I decided to buy an art piece from BONK and Genus Male 7-9, a furoticon male deck and booster packs, Dog's Days of Summer, a new book by my friend Cyanni, and one from Kyell Gold. My anniversary was very nice. A nice lunch/dinner at olive garden since Fogo De Chao was closed. I honestly didn't care just wanted to be with my mate. Then the drinking and all that happened, though I stayed contently sober, driving them to food and making sure they didn't cause too much trouble. Saw alot of friends and made new ones that I will hopefully interact with later. Oh the months tick by till my big move too. Need to find a job or become an amazing artist asap :P
