Posted 2 months agoIT WAS SO GOODI gotta find the words to say how good, but i met so many awesome people, so many familiar faces too!
it got a little overwhelming even on the third day trying to talk to everyone , and now trying to sort the memories to find people on their socials :3
hopefully soon the internet infrastructure folks will finish installing fibre optic for us, and i can finally start uploading (nearly two years of art, about 100 pictures) here!

HI. so i won't promise art is coming regulary , just because its fighting for attention from me still.
Hoping that at the end of the year, i might have saved up enough monies to buy a large tablet!
Creativity is hard -w- i've been stressing because of the news from ukraine, and the mounting costs of everything and general tension i've been feeling from this has sapped alot of my energy and moods.
works going about as ok as it could be, though im looking forward to the next few years (when hopefully, me and RawrRyu move to find a house!)
im thinking of what way motivate me is small gifts again? but even they seem to come so much harder...
that being said, i could post all my sketches and mad scribbles to show what i have been drawing? (its just nothing finished honestly, which is half the problem)

my free time is starting to be eaten up by work, Christmas planning, and just trying to relax (in which art doesnt tend to help)
also, im sharing my computer with my lovely wife, which is eating into the time until i can get a little laptop all fixed up

Posted 4 years agoMy Poor piece of junk car is in the shop ;w; it simply cannot handle the bouncy pot hole riddled rally I put it through. An expensive bill awaits me , but nothing unexpected.
So I'm stuck at work on my workdays for a short time now! Woo! Yay. Yeee...
Still in the last pangs of my summer season hours, so hopefully soon it will ease off and I can start putting a bit more time into art (and personal art)

So I've had a small but of time off because of a covid case shutting my work, but now I'm back to the grindstone ! But I found time for a buttload of doodles. I've been trying to upload more regularly still.
Drawing gifts is a fine motivator~

Obviously. But after working in the kitchen, I've patented a new way of staying cool.
Stick ice-packs in all your pockets. Seriously worked, and I'll take Slightly damp pockets over sweat any day.
Oh and eat ice-pops none stop. No pop in your hand? Go get one!

For this second go, I'm going to put an extra sketch slot, and one less lineart slot. Also let's talk backgrounds !
I've also slightly topped the price on shading for coloured lineart, as I throw lighting on too, and I realised it takes a little longer than I thought.

Update - Restrictions finally lifting!
Posted 4 years agoFinally restrictions are starting to lift here!
whilst its not a clear cut path to normal, its steps back towards it.
its as close as we've been in a long time!
Also hey! monthly update time!
Work : IS JUST WORK. normal , busy, and boring! and just awesome to be back in! as of the 17th, interiors have reopened and people can finally come inside when it rains, instead of us not serving anyone!
Life : Is rolling by steady! hopefully will have some more interesting things to say later in the year! so far, its just day by day, week by week
Art : SO MUCH FUN to be doodling so often! less fullblown pieces, more scraps and doodles! (i dont post most of them) it seems like my routine allows for one big picture to sorta chip away at, and loads of goofs and easier pictures to have lots of fun with. this works for me. So ive got a handful of friends on discord i can show the scrappy stuff to!
my time seems to divide between gaming, art, homecare/healthcare right now, so still trying to balance it. ill figure it out. id love to have a routine enough to offer small commisions one day. maybe. if i dont wuss outhope everyone is doing AWESOME and i hope life starts heading back to normal wherever you are ! be safe!

Sorry I'm so bad at responding to comments right now. I've no reason to be just super focusing my energy to my workplace to try and fall back into place as quickly as possible . So far, so good !
Turns out people are pretty tired of eating at home , so works turned fairly busy, especially because we have no choice but to seat people outside. And we have a group we call the 8.45 club,who love dragging the evenings out to order as my kitchen shuts. And my dumb but always agrees
Eeesh
And my feet are sore.
Anyway, days off will start getting normal and hopefully I can start throwing some art out again. I still have a few headshots to finish ,and maybe two bigger pieces that are going to take alot longer , but I've got to balance it with home life too. So check my scraps frequently , cause I'll start throwing my pen and paper doodles that way .

ill also love it, and feed it, and take it for walks, and never forget it
not sure itll help me improve , but it'll make things easier !
and i bought SAI (now the trial version ran out for me) cause i love doing lineart with it.

Posted 4 years agoyeah, i suck at titles.
but, life update?
im still locked down. so drawing most days, amongst other stuff.
learning new stuff that i never would have had time for before.
and
hopefully getting a display tablet next month.
that way when im back at work, i still have some resources to make drawing a little less time consuming <3
hopefully will be back in work by march, which means i may be away more than not. but ill try keep regular tabs in again.
APART FROM THAT : All is awesome, and well.
(ill be more interesting again at some point, promise. srsly. just kinda have nothing else to do but stay at home, shop, and ugh , stay at home)

Posted 5 years agoSo , I sorta pushed myself into a mental block already Butttt I'm still super wanting to do arts . Biggest problem is I'm bored away from artin, and same old pattern of lack of imagination just leads me in circles of picking up and putting down the pen.
This is making me mainly sketch and only turn a handful into anything I'll post here.
SECOND SO
I'll doodle something free for peeps . Probably even colour it and slap a little background on.
I'll pick a small selection of peeps , I probably wont notify you if I chose you but all you gotta do is post a link to a legible sona ref , and optionally , a theme .(think , rave , natural , abstract ect)
Because I'm not doing it for money or anything (in respect to all the people who do art for a living) there ain't no timeframe or Wips or anything , cause it ain't a commission.
After a day , I'll pick people (unless no one comments and then I'll reset the journal)
I'll also be picking people from Deviantart too , so it probably wont be many in total but if It works out I'll expand on it
Ps : wont draw anything super wierd or NSFW. Do the test. If you could let a family member see it and not raise hard questions , itll fly with me

Managing to make one piece of "finished" work. which i quailify by saying, its finished because i dont touch it after.
But yeah! im still here, still trying!
really, most of my time is taken sat at home on furlough. lots of time for chats, arts and such. hit me up!
i promise ill start posting stuff that tells more of my recent going ons and stuff. but not yet.

Maybe a fresh start was needed .
So inbetween falling from the face of the earth, I've moved all over , got a job ,
rose up in it , got a place , got money , got stability and maybe a wife too .
Didnt find much time for art or furryness in between all that
But the pandemic got me sat on my ass again.
So I thought I'd try make effort again whilst it lasted.
No promises I dont just drop off again but still.
Haaaii. I'm not dead !!! And I miss everyone. Hit me up sometime .
(I have 9702 submissions, 580 comments and 34400 journals to go through.
And I dont spell much better.
Ps: pucker factor 11, nuking the gallery , the journals and everything . I dont think I've cringed so much in my life
