So I was having a little conversation today with GalacticMichi about 3D modeling, and I won't deny that I've always wanted to get a 3D model made of Molly. But I'm not quite sure on where to start with that process. Who to contact, what the process is, so on and so on.

If anyone has any suggestions on how to begin this, I would love to hear from you. I don't know where to start, and I'd like to start... somewhere!

Hitting the big 5 and 3 this year. Watching some fun movies tonight, and dodging the rain that's now coming down like cats and dogs.

Once upon a time, Hollywood expended a great deal of time, effort and money to make a movie about Greek Mythology. A movie that faithfully explored the heroes, heroines and Gods of ancient Greece. A movie that accurately showed the proper attire of the ancient Greeks. A movie that spared no expense in its visual effects and cinematography.

This is not that movie.

Instead, prepare yourself for a Hollywood film that takes extreme liberties with as many of the Greek myths in its 2-hour time frame as it possibly can. A movie that brings you Ray Harryhausen’s special creature effects, and blows $500 on the rest of the movie’s effects. A movie that lets its actors wield steel, while the acting itself is fairly wooden. A movie whose plot is so convoluted, it takes the first hour to figure out what the hell’s going on.

So… here it is. It’s my birthday, and I’ve finally reached the half century mark. It seems strange to look back, and think that I've made it this far when it doesn't seem that long at all. All those years of schooling. All those positions of employment. All my friends and family. And I'm only halfway to 100.

But as they say, you're only as old as you think you are. I look in the mirror, and I don't see 50 years old. I'm not even sure I see 40 years old. And so, I may have hit this milestone, but I have another halfway to go and I feel and look great for someone my age. You're only as young as you feel, and I feel like tackling my next 50 years with even more spirit than the last 50 years. Therefore in these trying times, here's to the next 50 years! May they be even more full of life and love and learning. I'm ready for whatever it throws at me.

So... I just took a look at my user page, and it seems that I have actually hit the 5000 watcher mark. Not a bad feat considering the only content I provide, are interesting characters like Molly, Aidan & Aidan, Niko, Cassie, Kieran and the rest of my assorted gang. Also considering that most of my commission money for the last three years or so has been going into paying for school, that's also a fairly good accomplishment. Hey everyone! As a lot of you might know, "The Depths" webcomic has been looking for a quality pencil artist to fill in for  kinojaggernov and take a lot of their load off. But what you might not know is that the webcomic is also trying to raise funding to pay for said pencil-artist. They've nailed down their choices to two individuals, both consummate and well-respected artists - and now  lei-lani and  riffraffcat have to find a way to pay them. They have a Patreon in dire need of approximately $150 more in order to have enough to continue paying artists and putting out four pages each month. Won't you help them out? "The Depths" is a very popular webcomic right now, with close to 30,000 visitors a month and it's making the Top Ten lists everywhere. Hey everybody, panther here. This weekend, Lani and Riff are off again at the Cleveland Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Fest, so I've jimmied the lock to get into the reel room, and I'll be running their stream while they man their booth.

This Sunday night, we've got a double feature of bad, bad, bad movies. First, we'll be showing the Rowdy Roddy Piper movie without the bubblegum reference. It's awful, it's terrible, it made everyone regret having a Screen Actors Guild card. I, of course, am speaking of 1988's "HELL COMES TO FROGTOWN".

Second, we'll be viewing the monster movie to end all monster movies. And by that, I definitely meant that this movie might have killed future monster movies with its horrible idea of having cute, fluffy bunnies turned into giant, ravenous, blood-thirsty rabbits from hell! It's got DeForest Kelley from Star Trek wondering what the hell he's doing in it. This cinematic badness is 1972's "NIGHT OF THE LEPUS".

The Great Race is directed by Blake Edwards, who gave us the Pink Panther movies, along with "Breakfast at Tiffany's". It's got slapstick comedy, swordfights, barroom brawls, dashing heroes, scheming villains, and the most amazing pie fight in movie history. It's a good two and a half hours long, so we'll be holding off the next episode of the Grand Tour until next week. Probably finish up the night with some cartoons to finish off the show.
