Winner has been chosen! Raffle officially ended. ^^
General | Posted 12 years agoPhew, okies! So the 1111 Raffle has officially concluded, a winner has been chosen and has given me their contact information, and a way for me to pay them. And I have sent them $1111.00! :3 After talking with them some, I found out that the money is going to a great cause, and I'm incredibly happy with that! ^^
From all the large amount of attention this raffle has gotten, both negative and positive. The person that did win gave me a lot of very legitimate reasons for keeping their name anonymous, and I feel that is the best thing to do, so that other furries don't bother them, and that their name isn't slandered by some of the more upset furries claiming that this raffle/giveaway was a hoax, and claiming that the winner was "in on it".
Whenever I started this raffle, my only intention was to giveaway $1111.00 to a random furry that entered, and I have succeeded in doing so. ^^! I do feel like doing more raffles in the future, but I think I may take a break for awhile, because goodness, this one wound up being a doozy! :3
I have been contacted by a site Admin about the legitimacy of this raffle, and after exchanging many notes and evidence between both me and the winner. The Furaffinity Administration came to the conclusion that this was a legitimate giveaway.

Since the other raffle page ( http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/5259913/ ) is crashing for so many people, I decided to open up another, fresh page so that people that would like to enter doesn't have to go through horrible amounts of lag and scroll down forever to post. ^^! You can still enter via the other raffle page as well, both the entries on that page and this page will be counted! <3
Also, in order to cut down on spam, You can also, if you have other friends that would like to join, post only one journal, and have your friend's names on the journal as well. Then your friends can enter this raffle, and just link to the one journal that you made with their names on it. This is a completely optional choice, but thought I would include it!! ^^!
I would like to comment as well that I am completely blown away with the amount of entries this raffle has gotten! I had absolutely no clue it would explode like this so quickly, as my last raffle only had ~500 entries through the entire month it was open. This raffle is currently at around 2700 entries, and it's only been a day! I'm really glad that all of you did decide to join, that's fantastic, and makes me happy that so many furrys have a chance at getting the money. I would like to apologize for the spam that it's caused the last day, as it was completely unintentional! >///< To any of the furrys thinking this is shady, or could be a fake raffle, I can assure you, this is a completely real giveaway, and no, I didn't steal the money or any of the other crazy things I've heard! I just wanted to do this to give back to the community I love and call home.
The sole reason I made this giveaway was to give every furry that enters a chance at winning $1111.00 to do whatever they please with. The reason I'm not picking and choosing and giving this to a person or a charity, is because I feel like random chance is the most genuine way of giving money. And it's my money, so I feel I have the right to give it away the way I feel is best. This is not an attempt to become 'popular' or to gain watchers. I only included the 'watch me' thing because it was a carry-over from my last raffle, and that I really didn't think it was a big deal. I'm not an artist, and so I will not profit in monetary gain from these watchers. The only thing that I will gain I guess is more people seeing when I post my next raffle, and I guess a larger audience seeing the art that I commission posted. But honestly the art is posted by the artists anyways, and a lot of the artists have many many more watchers than I do, so I don't really see me being the terribly selfish horrible person a lot of people have been calling me out as because I ask for a watch to join, and honestly, most people would have probably watched me anyways without me asking, so I'm sorry for that, but I feel it's too late to change that now, and for my next raffle, I will not require a watch to join. Hmmm.. The best way to greet a dalsky is running up to him and yelling Haiiiiii!!!! :3 But other acceptable ways are saying hello. :P I'll probably give you a hug, because that's what I do. anddddd yeah! just yell out Dalsky or Kris, or KrisPup! Ummm, probably to meet new people and get drunk and things. xD! I'm really excited because this is going to be my first con where I actually have an FA page, and have actually talked to furries beforehand before actually going to the con, the others I kind of just went there without knowing anyone, and wandered around saying hello to everyone. That was exciting, because furrys are so friendly. But at MFF I'm really curious to how knowing people beforehand will be like. x3! Also, did I mention partying and drunk? yup that too! <3

Nu. D: I'm still debating on whether or not I want one. I really don't like feeling exhausted and hot and things, and with a fursuit I feel like that'd happen a lot.

Hmmm.. The best way to greet a dalsky is running up to him and yelling Haiiiiii!!!! :3 But other acceptable ways are saying hello. :P I'll probably give you a hug, because that's what I do. anddddd yeah! just yell out Dalsky or Kris, or KrisPup! That'd probably get my attention. If you have alcohol, that'd probably get my attention too.

Ummm, probably to meet new people and get drunk and things. xD! I'm really excited because this is going to be my first con where I actually have an FA page, and have actually talked to furries beforehand before actually going to the con, the others I kind of just went there without knowing anyone, and wandered around saying hello to everyone. That was exciting, because furrys are so friendly. But at MFF I'm really curious to how knowing people beforehand will be like. x3! Also, did I mention partying and drunk? yup that too! <3

I know that a lot of furrys don’t have much money to get much art done of their characters, but you guys totally deserve it! ^^ So this is my way of giving back to the furry community, and letting everyone have a chance at some really great, free art from a popular artist! :3
The official closing date will be 10PM EST on October 31st to enter, but depending on how much traffic this gets, it may be closed earlier, or pushed a bit later than that for me to count and verify the entries. (As long as this journal doesn’t say CLOSED, you may still enter.) At which point I’ll use a random number generator to pick a number from one of the numbers of valid entries. The winning entry will be declared the winner and will be contacted by me shortly afterwards, and will appear as a main character in the comic! ^^
(This comic can be NSFW or SFW and there are no restrictions on gender/species! ^^)
