Once More Around The Sun.

Happy New Year!

3rd Decade Milestone
Posted 3 years agoWelp, I managed to make it through 30 rotations around the sun, and all I got was flabby, a second chin and dodgy knees. Fan-fucking-tastic.
IT'S FINALLY FUCKING OVER!!!
Posted 4 years agoI got my Discord account back, it took them since last Saturday to get back to me, but it was reinstated without any hassle.
Finally, about fucking time.
Finally, about fucking time.
Be aware of new Discord hack/scam(RESOLVED)
Posted 4 years agoIMPORTANT UPDATE: Discord finally got their arses in gear and got my account back! About fucking time, it took them over a fucking week!
I've already posted a PSA on Twitter on the night that it happened but I'm going to post one here now that I have wiped all my drives and reinstalled Windows as a precaution. There's a pretty sophisticated auth token scam that's going around Discord and I got hit by it, which goes to show how sophisticated it is.
Context:
I was messaged by a server mutual who wanted playtesters for a game they've been developing, I know a few people who are trying to get into game dev so I took the bait. The account was legit, belonging to a server mutual as mentioned previously and the link they sent was to a legit itch.io page with a TotalVirus link for verification, a lot of effort went in to make this look very legit and above board. However upon running the program, my Discord auth token was stolen along with my password and due to Discord's shoddy security, they changed the email without prompting any sort of confirmation from either my original email or my 2FA. As of writing this I'm still waiting for Discord to do anything about this attack or the loss of my account, I'm extremely frustrated at the lack of any real communication or even any sort of public service announcement from them officially warning about this new scam.
It has been over 24 hours since my account was stolen. Let this be a lesson to everyone who reads this, you can never trust anyone, not even friends or mutuals. Itch.io is now a minefield for this sort of thing, be aware and don't trust anything from that site anymore. If you see something similar to what I was sent, asking you to check out a game that a friend made, or that they made or that they want to play with you, don't click it and especially be aware that the hackers are able to mimic the speech of the people who's accounts they've stolen.

Christmas Wishlist
Posted 12 years agoHey, why the hell not? It's not like I follow trends or anything, right? Oh wait. I have no integrity. Stolen from
because I can.
~Step 1~
Make a post in your journal containing your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple to really big.
The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
If you wish for real-life things, make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just
your email address where folks could get in touch with you.
~Step 2~
Surf around other lists to see who has posted their list. If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make
someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or
a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream for free--do it. You needn't spend money
on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's
holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call. There are no rules with this project, no
guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of
knowing you made someone's holiday special!
~Step 3~
The List
Address: You shall be noted.
(oh look at me I know how to use ctrl+c, ctrl+v)
This is not in order of priority. The order is random.
1)A Razer Goliathus Extended. My current mouse mat is melting. Parents are getting it for me.
2)Borderlands 2: GOTY. Saves me trying to buy all the DLC at once.
3)StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty/Heart of the Swarm. All I have is a Starter Edition.
4) Some goddamn Sergals! I crave Sergals goddamn it!
5) A physical copy of The Necronomicon - H.P Lovecraft.
6) More people who like me, that would be nice actually.
7) A fucking job! Seriously.
8) A soul.
9) The love and affection of everyone in my life currently.
10) A new PC. HAH! Like this would ever happen.
So now that this is out of the way I can now get back to my daily schedule of doing fuck all with my life because I have too much free time. It's not like anybody reads this shit anyways so who cares?

Welp.
Posted 12 years agoLooks like the change to the TOS is gonna shaft lesser known artists now because there are now less ways to get advertised. Good job.
Unfuckingbelievable. People get so upset about trivial things like raffles and boosting, it's like nobody has ever heard of the term "sack up and deal with it".

Posted 12 years agoI'm not one of those people who thinks poorly of console gamers, but seriously, this really doesn't make console gamers look good at all. I would like to point out that I don't care if you play on console over PC, I personally prefer to game on PC but the wonderful thing about us is that we don't all have to like the same things. I like PC, you don't, as along as we can agree to disagree we can get along. But these guys, are not reasonable and don't deserve that courtesy.
The stupidity hurts
Their reasoning is flawed for many reasons, I'll list them off:
1) Grand Theft Auto has been a series that has consistently been on multiple platforms and has wide appeal on all platforms.
2) PC gamers complained about GTA 4 because of the terrible optimisation, the game ran like shit even on good machines. But it made up for it by having a brilliant modding community.
3) Piracy is a problem on consoles as well, in fact entire systems have failed due to piracy, Dreamcast anyone? Even so, the ratio of pirated to legally purchased games on PC is inflated and inaccurate because there is absolutely no way to tell. So even though games on PC have blockbuster sales, companies like Ubisoft like to pull this bullshit statistic that 80-90% of their games on PC weren't purchased legally.
4) People only pirate your game if you don't deserve that money. They have made this perfectly clear, that if your port sucks or you have some controversy surrounding, it they will pirate your game. However I would like to point this out to those kind of people that they are not the solution, the solution is actively boycotting games that are terribly ported or have some form of controversy surrounding them. Piracy will not convince publishers and developers to make better games and have better policies, they will just twist your words and make us look like freeloaders and thieves.
To the people who support this petition, get your heads out your asses and realise that your entire campaign is based on your complete lack of understanding when it comes to PC gamers in general, you are not helping the industry and you certainly aren't making it better for yourselves, it's reasons like this is why most PC gamers hate you, fucking grow up and realise that we're all gamers here and we should be sticking out for each other not trying to fuck each other over at the nearest opportunity.
Fuck ignorant people and fuck selfish gamers.
