Commissions Re-Opening for 2019 - Raising Money for Moveout
Posted 6 years agoThe new year is already nearly a month upon us and I've got to start raising money for when my lease expires - I'll need to move to a new apartment and that's not going to be cheap, between the cost of security deposits and moving fees.
As such I'm going to be opening for traditional art commissions ranging from sketched to colored. Cost will typically be between $10-20 based on complexity, number of characters, color, etc.
Simply note me what you'd like and if it's something I can do, I'll give you a quote.
I am willing to attempt sequences if anyone's interested.
I do not do backgrounds.
Likewise I'll be uploading my backlog of drawn art for the past several months in case anyone would like to see examples.

Open for [Emergency] Weekend Commissions
Posted 8 years agoSo finances have taken a nosedive and I'm without a safety net in the bank account - this should probably resolve itself in the next week or so, but I could really use some muns with which to get food!
So I'm opening for commissions at the following rates:
$5/character - Rough pencil
$10/character - Colored sketch
I'll be adjusting my normal prices as well because I have a job now and have significantly less free time/energy as a result.
These commissions will be taken one slot at a time and are not first come first serve.
Payment will be due on completion.
I'll probably push out a life update journal later this weekend.

Going to Derpycon, NJ
Posted 8 years agoHowdy to all those out there actually reading this - just a heads up that I'll be at Derpycon out in NJ, it's a multi-fandom convention (not specifically furry, I know) but if you happen to be in the area I super encourage you to check it out, assuming you're not already going.
Anyone interested in a drone commission?
Posted 8 years agoWith skunktember having accidentally turned into dronetember, and having "assimilated" most of my closer friends, I figured I'd open a journal up to see if anyone else was interested in joining in.
I'd be willing to drone-ify your character,
$5 for a sketch. (Haven't gotten around to uploading any of my previous examples).
$12 for a colored image. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/24884424/
$25 for a complete vector.http://www.furaffinity.net/view/24791452/
If you're interested, comment below and send me a note and I'll discuss details to work out what sort of design you'd like.

Group Commission with Virmir - Closed Waitlist Open
Posted 8 years agoUpdate: all slots have been filled, waitlist slots are available in case new slots become available.
Howdy everybody
Krysto2012 and
Curus-Keel here to let you know about our upcoming group commission with
Virmir
Come join the Carousel Carnival's big parade! There will be floats, clowns, performers and chaos aplenty under the big top. From Virmir getting turned into a giant parade float, Duino the clown pie-ing unsuspecting performers, and Trask pulling a rabbit out of eir hat, there's no end to the shenanigans going on!
The group commission is already at 21 characters and counting and we're aiming to be Virmir's biggest project yet!
So where can you fit in? There is still plenty of room as well as a number of slots that still need to be filled. Everything you need to know can be found here:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/.....t?ts=591a944f#
Give the doc a read, see what's going on and who's involved.
The bottom half of Page 4 lists a number of suggestions and open slots for the picture if you're unsure what to do but still want to be a part.
So what does it cost, you ask? Well the total price per person depends on the number of characters involved, but odds are it will be between $31 and $32 per person - you can see the full price chart on page 7.
When and how will payment be due? We're still working this out with Virmir, but most likely payment will be due on an individual basis around the end of June/early July, though you will be contacted with any major updates.
When is this commission happening? As of now we're scheduled for the month of July, so odds are the finished picture will be done between the end of July and August.
How do I sign up? You can reach out to ME or CURUS via note, do not contact Virmir directly. You can also post here: http://crimsonflagcomic.com/forum/i.....?topic=2285.15
Be sure to include your character's name, what you'd like to be doing, and a reference for your character. We will work out details on an individual basis as the project progresses.
Thanks for reading, and have a great summer everyone!

Anybody Interested in Colored Sketch Commissions?
Posted 8 years agoI'd like to try and work through some commissions - since I'm currently in downtime with not much to do.
It'd be about $5 for 1 character, $8 for 2 chars with about the same level of detail as my recent posts. Payment would be due after a WiP sketch via PayPal.
For anyone interested it is *not* first come first serve, simply note me your idea and I'll get back to you.
Note that I'm not an expert artist, I can't do everything, and my prices reflect my cost of living, not the prices of other artists
I will not draw:
NSFW
Licensed Content (Pokemon, Final Fantasy, etc)
If you're actually reading this odds are you probably already know about what I'm good at.

Incoming Miniature Equines
Posted 8 years agoI'm gonna go about tossing some old pone stuff into my scraps tonight.
I apologize in advance to those who don't particularly care for it, just remove them from your submissions and that'll be that.
For those who do enjoy that kind of stuff, I'll be adding a subfolder to my gallery for it so you can access it hassle-free.

Any interest in old/new MLP art/commissions?
Posted 8 years agoGoing around getting caught up on my uploads, I wanted to find out - is there any interest in MLP content here? I generally don't tend to upload any of it (my own art included dating back a wee bit), but if no one cares or if there is legitimate interest I can start tossing some MLP stuff into my scraps/its own subfolder. Most of it's Bon Bon, but there are a handful of old vectors and some cool stuff.
Anyhow just wanted some feedback - should I keep this account pony free (save for any relevant crossover) or do you guys not mind if I post the occasional miniature equine or two?

Anyone Know Anyone Willing to Trade Art for Steam Games?
Posted 8 years agoSo due to leftovers from selling TF2 items, I have approximately $45 available in steam wallet funds.
Does anyone know (or happen to be) any artists who would be willing to trade an art commission for games on steam (or anything else available on the marketplace, I guess)?
The game would be purchased on my account and either gifted or traded to the artist as payment in advance.

Sunday Sketch Suggestions - Part 2 (2/12/17)
Posted 8 years agoHey everybody - I'm planning doing some *more* sketch practice on Sunday. Just some light pencil doodles like what I've been doing previously in my scraps.
In the meantime, I'm open to suggestions for relatively simple scenarios. Obviously don't be expecting anything super high quality.
Keep in mind that I do NOT draw NSFW or art containing licensed characters/species (pokemon, digimon, FF, SoM, etc.)
Again, note that this is NOT first come, first serve.
I can't promise I'll do your suggestion in particular, but hey, it only costs the time it takes to leave a comment.
Tata for now~

Post Ponycon Report & Life Update
Posted 8 years agoHowdy all, thanks again for watching me and all my shenanigans.
Here's a quick summary of my weekend at Ponycon in NJ:
I volunteered at registration and ran the autograph counter for the bulk of the event so I missed quite alot of the general excitement but overall I had a fantastic time. A friend invited me to the VIP mixer so I got a chance to chat with Ali Milner (voice of Ember) and MLP director, Denny Lu - both were fantastic and I hope to see them at future MLP cons.
As for the community, I got to spend a bit of time hanging with
TF-sential and got to briefly chat with folks like Dileak,
Inanimax and several old friends I haven't gotten to see in a while.
Sadly to say though, the con is inn rather dire financial straits due to a relatively low turnout (blame that on whatever you want) and is going to need serious community support for another showing next year. Given that Ponycon is the brainchild of Bronies-NYC, my local group (and second family), the future of the convention is incredibly relevant to me personally (I didn't volunteer my entire weekend for no reason). From what I saw and heard and experienced, the con was fantastic and tons of fun for those who came, so I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to attend a pony convention on the East Coast.
They're going to be running some kind of fundraiser to get the con off of life support and going for another year and I'll happily signal boost it as soon as I have specifics.
Aaaaanyhow...
On to life updates.
I'm officially back to school for my (hopefully) last semester, after which I'll have my Associates. Its looking like it's going to be a pretty intensive few months, but I can't say for sure until I'm in it full swing. Day 1 is always pretty light, after all.
What does that mean for my art?
Well I might have less time and energy for art, but there's a massive gap in my schedule certain days which might end up being used for sketch practice or homework. I might start talking doodle requests, so keep an eye out for journals looking for suggestions if that's something that interests you.
As for commissions, I doubt I'll have time but if finances demand, I'll make time.
2016 saw what I at least hope to be some amount of improvement in my first year of *semi-serious* art, so I want to devote 2017 to getting better at the things I am weakest at.
As for NSFW material, I've explicitly stated to most anyone who has asked that Gumdrop is strictly a SFW character and so is this account. That being said, I have experimented with a small amount of writing and commissions from artists of NSFW stuff. That will NOT be posted here, but IS being posted elsewhere an alt account I won't list or link. If you know me well enough, it shouldn't be too hard to find, especially as more content gets posted there.
Please, however, respect that this account and the character, Gumdrop, are strictly SFW! I will not respond to requests for NSFW art or writing, I will not offer commissions for either and I will certainly not respond to any RP requests, especially from strangers. If I ever decide to offer anything, it will be advertised via THAT account and not this one. Gumdrop will remain a SFW character, though, so please do not draw, post or write anything of that nature!
Thank you so much for reading, and thank you So much for watching. I provide this account primarily as an outlet for my own art and commissions from artists to create a gallery of silly and cute art and your watching indicates that you all hopefully like it enough to want to see more, so there will be more!
Is there anything you want to see more of on the future? Let me know!
That's all for now, you're all super sweet and I appreciate your kindness.
