My husband
sdocat is running a photography room this year so if you're a suiter or know a suiter who would like some photos done you'll find info about it on the con schedule :D
I should be easy to spot, I will be deedling around and wearing my beloved Koopa Shell backpack like last time. Hope to see you all around!

New Pet
Posted 12 years agoI really miss keeping reptiles. So I've been doing a lot of research and am planning on heading to the Austin Reptile Expo next month to hopefully acquire my very first corn snake!
I'm kinda surprised and disappointed by the reactions of everyone I've told. The Family and co-workers... they all know I've loved reptiles all my life. Aspired to be some sort of herpetologist when I was younger, even! But when I say I'm getting a snake they recoil like I've spontaneously sprouted a third arm. Seriously? D: I don't understand why people loathe snakes so much. I try to explain that corn snakes in particular are typically sweeties but people find it hard to believe. Guess I get to be an animal ambassador soon!

The Fall
Posted 13 years agoI do love the changing of the seasons, they make me feel so much more inspired. So much to draw, so little time! Doessn't help I've got GuildWars2 and WoW tugging at me, but its not as difficult to put them aside for drawing anymore, which is nice.

No, not really. That would be dumb. But sometimes its hard to shake the feeling that I'm spinning my wheels and nobody cares when it comes to my art.
No, that's not it either.
More specifically, its hard to shake the feeling that it is somehow important to have people care about what I draw. It isn't. Of course every artist wants to be seen and acknowledged. But if I'm not drawing for my own damn enjoyment, I might as well not be drawing at all. So there.
Still... sometimes I just feel like my art is that kid in high school, the one sitting on the edge of the table, that gets all the jokes, but people just give him the blank stare if he dares to laugh with them or contribute his own. :p
I think my main problem is that I think I'm going to meet people by doing art. (lol) I just need to go back to drawing simply because I just don't give a fuck, its time to create my own world.

Mustering the Gumption!
Posted 14 years agoI'll be done drawing ponies by the end of the month. I'm kinda saturating my gallery, ehehehe. But I've done one for every day of the event and I can't stop now!! But what I really hope is that I can continue drawing afterwards- my own things. I'm so sad every time I come here and see how empty and outdated my gallery is ;~; A lot of that stems from the ability(that I thought I had lost) of just sitting down and just drawing what comes to mind. Having to draw upon a loose theme every night, simple things, but with a deadline, has restored that a bit. I'm drawing again, just to be drawing. Not having to obsess and COMPLETE something elaborate or exacting. Its nice and I missed it!

Posted 18 years agoI need to update more! I'm plenty inspired, but I almost feel like I don't have a MOTIVE to draw, let alone the time. Sure, drawing is fun, but so is Warcraft. :B

Posted 19 years agoYou people are freaking out and getting up in arms over nothing. Its times like this that make me glad I'm not deeper into the fandom. When a "situation" comes up, all too many furries freak out, take sides, and melodramaticize things, trying to stick muzzles up the tailholes of the alpha-fuzzies they imagine.
ZOMG FA IS TEH NAZI DIKTATUR IM LEAVIN is silly. :/ Try posting your art on deviantart AT ALL. They'll give you unfair all night long, and then some.
No wonder why Sheezy got rid of yiffy stuff and drove away a lot of the furs, I don't blame 'em. :/
