I want to get better at drawing...

I figured I'd take a page from Hinauchi's book and take an animated movie(Lion King, Fox and the Hound, Balto, ect) and reference poses and facial expressions. (Hers is seen here http://cyanbirddog.deviantart.com/a.....ddog&qo=60)
Figured it'd be a good way to branch out my styles and skills, y'know?

I'm on a god damn roll...I guess? Man.
I used to NEVER be this active with my art, but I've managed to pull out around 30 pictures in a month?

But I have no idea how to do it. Like I try, but I can’t draw the legs and paws for shit.
I can draw Anthros decently, but get lost when it comes to drawing them on all fours. Fur and legs confuffle me. D8

One year <3
Posted 13 years agoOne year ago today; I began to date someone amazing. We had been friends for a while and he had asked me out once before, but I had declined. My feelings for him grew until he started to catch on. He asked me out fairly earlier in the morning after we had been cuddling on SecondLife for a little while, but he wanted to make it official when he asked.
I said yes and we started our long distance/online relationship. Me being from British Columbia, Canada. Him being from Montgomery, Alabama.
It was easy at first, hanging out one SL, chatting on Facebook, then receiving a call before bed every night.
We had a few road bumps along the way, my phone being disconnected, us both having jobs so we wouldn't be able to talk to each other much. But we got by them.
We had planned for a trip to Chicago to meet for the first time, but sadly it never happened. So much planning, saving, working, but it hit to many road bumps for it to happen.
Then I moved to Nanaimo and got a job working for Bell Canada in the Nordia branch...I was getting pretty good paychecks, too. I decided that I was going to save up my money, get my EIC and surprise him for his birthday. I had been planning it for at least a month with his mom before I couldn't hold it from him anymore, so I told him and we ended up making it a Thanksgiving and Birthday Trip.
This his a few road bumps and snares on the way as well. I lost my roommate and couldn't afford a lot of things, so I ended up moving back to my parents house in PG and had to give up my job.
This, however, didn't stop us. On November 19th I set out my journey on bus from PG to Seattle. It was exciting and a very new experience for me. When I hit Seattle, I couldn't help but feel a bit lost. But with the help of some locals I found my way to the Skytrain and was on my way to the airport.
I got at the airport very early considering my flight wasn't until 11:50am the next morning(I arrived around 9pm x3)
I managed to to find a place where I could take a rest, hook up my laptop, and let everyone know how I was doing.
In the morning, I headed over to security and got everything out of the way before waiting at the gate for the plane. I had a mini panic attack because I happened to be at the wrong gate and had to literally run to catch the flight, BUT I DID IT!
And I was on my way to Atlanta, Georgia to meet him for the very first time.
The plane hit, and I headed straight to baggage. I didn't even get there before I saw his face. Our eyes met and I could feel my face just light up with joy.
Originally, I was going to run over to him and hug him, but I didn't have the energy. I was so excited that I didn't sleep much on the trip.
Meeting him was probably one of the greatest moments in my life.
He had been so eager to find my suitcase so we could go home and catch up, and just be together. Running all over the baggage area to find my stuff.
We found it not long after and headed to the truck. I wanted to sleep so bad in the truck back to Montgomery, but I also really didn't want to. I wanted to spend that time in his arms and being able to witness every moment.
This, of course, didn't last to long because the entire crew(Him, his Mom, his Grandfather, and myself) were hungry. We stopped at an Arby's not far out of Atlanta and got some food. He and I both passed out in the truck right after hitting Alabama, and we slept till we got to the house.
And from there we had began our two and a half weeks together. We did a lot of great things there. We had Thanksgiving dinner(Twice!), and I met his family, who are all wonderful people. We went to Eastdale Mall, drove around town, saw christmas lights, even went to Birmingham for a day(Though we both slept through most of it XD;)
And I got to be there for his birthday. December 2nd was probably the most eventful day I could have ever had. We had woken up, and he had to get ready for "work" (I'll explain) He left and said he'd be back in an hour or so, so I had hung out with his siblings and chilled on my laptop till he got home. Bill came with pizza for the birthday lunch/dinner, and DK brought the cakes. We were celebrating not only his birthday, but his little brothers as well(It was the day before)
When he got home from work, he brought home a few pizza's as well, and we were just waiting for people to come so we could start.
During the candle blowing outness(I'm tired, okay? D:) Chrys hands me a pizza. "Here, this is yours." He told me. I was honestly confused because I for one couldn't eat en entire pizza by myself. "I need you to open it up and see if I got the right toppings" So I did. I stared at it for a moment before closing the lid and hugged him. I couldn't believe my eyes. I started crying and pretty sure made a big wet mark on his shirt.
The top part of the cardboard box had "Would you" While on the pizza, which was shaped as a heart, said "Marry Me" written in Canadian bacon. And in the center of the pizza was the most beautiful ring suspended on a plastic up.
My heart skipped a million beats and I nodded into his shoulder. It was probably the happiest moment of my life.
And even though the ring is one size to big, I haven't taken it off since he put it on my finger.
We had another week together after that, and it was a wonderful week with my new fiance. The day I left...Was easily the worst day of my life. The loneliness I felt when he had to leave at security left my heart feeling empty and my eyes filled to the brim with tears.
I think the entire trip home consisted of crying and sleeping, and I felt pathetic for it.
After I got home, both him and myself had a hard time being apart after being together for so long.
It's been hard since then, and I've spent a lot of nights being scared I'll never get to hold his hand again.
But we've gotten through it. And we will get through it. We're going to get through it together.
Chrystofer Bossert is my loving fiance, and I wouldn't change our moments together for the world. I need him, and I love him more then anything else. He helped me trust people after I had started not trusting them anymore. He helped me fall in love, he helped me explore places I never thought I'd go before.
Originally I was just going to write a status about how much he means to me, but I've done that a few times before.
Our history together, our memories. They're very precious to me.
It's been a hard year, and it's been an interesting year. But I wouldn't change it.
I love you more then anything Chrys. And I can't wait to be by your side once again.

During the candle blowing outness(I'm tired, okay? D:) Chrys hands me a pizza. "Here, this is yours." He told me. I was honestly confused because I for one couldn't eat en entire pizza by myself. "I need you to open it up and see if I got the right toppings" So I did. I stared at it for a moment before closing the lid and hugged him. I couldn't believe my eyes. I started crying and pretty sure made a big wet mark on his shirt.
The top part of the cardboard box had "Would you" While on the pizza, which was shaped as a heart, said "Marry Me" written in Canadian bacon. And in the center of the pizza was the most beautiful ring suspended on a plastic up.
My heart skipped a million beats and I nodded into his shoulder. It was probably the happiest moment of my life.
And even though the ring is one size to big, I haven't taken it off since he put it on my finger.
We had another week together after that, and it was a wonderful week with my new fiance. The day I left...Was easily the worst day of my life. The loneliness I felt when he had to leave at security left my heart feeling empty and my eyes filled to the brim with tears.
I think the entire trip home consisted of crying and sleeping, and I felt pathetic for it.
After I got home, both him and myself had a hard time being apart after being together for so long.
It's been hard since then, and I've spent a lot of nights being scared I'll never get to hold his hand again.
But we've gotten through it. And we will get through it. We're going to get through it together.
Chrystofer Bossert is my loving fiance, and I wouldn't change our moments together for the world. I need him, and I love him more then anything else. He helped me trust people after I had started not trusting them anymore. He helped me fall in love, he helped me explore places I never thought I'd go before.
Originally I was just going to write a status about how much he means to me, but I've done that a few times before.
Our history together, our memories. They're very precious to me.
It's been a hard year, and it's been an interesting year. But I wouldn't change it.
I love you more then anything Chrys. And I can't wait to be by your side once again.

He is in the US, I am in Canada.
We're trying to work on me moving down there, or him moving up here, and we need help.
I'm thinking of opening a donation pool, so we can help save up for the immigration fees. If you're willing to help, please comment below.
I hate to sound desperate or ask for help, but we really need it..
He's delivering pizza's and I'm jobless.

When I'm able, i'll be starting up commissions again to help pay for it as well, even if it's just another trip...
